rriggs Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I'm guessing that as you used the blueprints that is accurate but why does the top edge of you hull dip down forward and aft of the superstructure when it does appear to in the real-life photos? The deck rails drop there but do not cut into the black main hull whereas yours does... Cheers Rog Quote
MacGyver Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 (edited) Sorry for the late reply… nice, I myself am also working on a moc titanic http://www.facebook..../LegoRmsTitanic Great, keep up the good work! hey MacGyver you have made a very beautiful model ship. I read that you ordered a lot of lego bricks to make your ship, then i thought do you have a link to where i can buy bricks? I have just started to build a big project, so hope you can help me. Best regards Lasse As @escortmad79 already answered, you should get everything you need on Bricklink. When you need specific bricks you get there… I'm guessing that as you used the blueprints that is accurate but why does the top edge of you hull dip down forward and aft of the superstructure when it does appear to in the real-life photos? The deck rails drop there but do not cut into the black main hull whereas yours does... Cheers Rog I tried to build it as close to the blueprints as possible in this scale. But I don't quite understant what you mean. Can you explain a bit more? I have plans to change front of the ship, because it looks too ''bricky'' to me. I'm already designing changes in LDD, so I'll post more updates soon! Edited November 16, 2013 by MacGyver Quote

timmyc1983 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 This is astonishing!! Amazing MOC!!! I'm a little speechless. All the detail you have included is incredible and the sheer size of the model is awesome!! I can't wait to see the modified bow section, happy designing and building Quote
PrincessDi Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Hello everyone, I can't believe I have found you. My son built a replica of the Titanic from his mind's eye. It even floated! It was his pride and joy and it was stolen. He would dearly love to build it again and I would dearly love to help him do it. Is it possible to get hold of the building instructions and help on how to order the bricks? Thank you so much for anything you can do to help/advise. Quote
Chilis Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Incedible impressive! I love the ship and the history. This is a nice tribute to it all. Well done!! Quote
MacGyver Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Sorry I forgot to answer this. badbob001 now I understand what rrigs meant. Well, yes it's a mistake. If you look at the blueprints, you can see that this part of the ship is somewhat similar to my version but it's ofcourse wrong. I guess I didn't spend enough time looking at the real photos. I'll correct it Quote
Sun_shine Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Hello, I know it's been a while since this subject was first posted, but I'm reaching out to find actual Lego Titanic instructions. My 6yo is so much into this but I'm can't help him build that big of a piece without instructions. MacGyver, would you share these plans with us? Thank you! Quote
LegoManTroy Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 There is such an immense amount of bricks you used. This is absolutely amazing! Great job on the exterior and interior portions of the ship. Quote
