El Bucanero Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 The topic has been merged! Arr! I don't know what ye means by "merge", buts it sounds good to me!Arr! :-D Merging is combining two topics into one. Wich I have done with the topic you made and this topic because they were practically about the same subject. If there's a topic with almost the same discussion, we usually close the thread. *sweet* Mr Tiber Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 14, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 14, 2007 The topic has been merged! Good idea to merge the threads Mr T. My brain somehow didn't think of that possibility :-D Quote
Tanotrooper Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Good idea to merge the threads Mr T.My brain somehow didn't think of that possibility :-D mr. T... lol And the spider harry potter set is also useful for its long string with studs on the ends. The ferrari pit stop set has also two small strings with studs on the end. Starwars' tusken raider encounter is good for black muskets, some ninja sets have black flintlock rifles and pistols... I have about 20 old brown boats i'd like to sell, so if anyone is interested? (Its dangerous to fill your bucket in legoland when the giant tub of legos is full of brown boats...) Gaetano. P.S. I have placed an alternative idea for english shakos (then the toothpieces can also be considered complimentary elements) in the moc forum. sorry for disturbing you :-D Quote
hans-thegreat Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 How much for the boats? ( I'm building my Spanish armada...) Quote
Scouty Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Depends from where, when, from who, and how many you get. Prices jump everywhere. Quote
hans-thegreat Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I'll buy them from tanotrooper. Arr! >8-) Quote
Capn Frank Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 You may have noticed the new Orient game set review thingy on the EB front page. At first glance I did not think much of the set. I mean what I want to see in the front page are pics of the POTC sets. Savy? I looked at the front page picture a second time this evening and noticed some beautiful rum bottles that come with the set, as shown in the review: I own a few of these perfume bottles, and they are my favorite bottles of rum. Capn Frank Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Oh no a double post! One set I am really excited about since the Cars theme has come is: Now, I know what you may be thinking... "Phred, what could possibly be useful in a tiny little Cars set that has a lot of specially molded pieces?" Bear with me a moment. If you check out the BL Inventory for this set you may see what I'm talking about. There are three key bricks that have never been available in reddish-brown. These three beauties are: For your tiny MOC cannons. For your cannon carriages. Now, I am not going to go out buy zillions of these silly little sets for the rest of my cannons. But I am going to wait for these bricks to be for sale on BL and buy them there. Quote
David Thomsen Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 For your cannon carriages. Ooh, nice. I would never have thought of that. There's a whole bunch of chickens, goats and pigs in the Mill Village Raid that would be useful on a ship. There's also four of these in reddish brown: Almost certainly going to appear in MOCs in the near future. Also there are buckets, the new shutter from the London Escape, some torsos that can be used... and the buildings themselves can function as a piraet hideout. In all a perfect set for Lego Pirate aficionados. Quote
Piranha Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 +1 to Mill Village Raid containing loads of useful parts. Also not to forget MMV. The musketeer has some great bits, a rapier and his hat. Quote
Cap'n Crunch Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) The 7959 Geonosian Starfighter has two boat hulls in reddish tan and a lot of other pieces in tan than could help with building a pirate boat or even a small ship. There's a lot of pieces in the set that you could use. It certainly isn't bad for what you get. The 8426 Escape at Sea has two plane hull pieces that can be used to build a ship. The main problem is that they are not wide enough and that they are in bley. Finally, there is the 7197 Venice Canal Chase. There are two brown boat hulls included and a lot of light tan pieces. The downside is that the boats are quite small, so the money value might not be as good as in the 7959 Geonosian Fighter. Hope this helps. Edited July 8, 2011 by Cap'n Crunch Quote
