As we all know LEGO produces 2x2x2 slopes with nice prints on them for us to use as dresses for our female (and the occasional male) minifigure.

Most of these slope dresses come with a torso designed to go with that dress.

Looking as one whole dress. Like our dear Professor Sprout over here:

Most of the times it is quite easy to use the torso without the slope and give the figure a matching pair of pants.

However it is a bit harder when it comes to the slope part of the dress. So my question to you is to post pictures of not official combinations that work good together.

I'll give you guys a head start:

It would be sweet if posters in this thread could tell us which minifigs their torsos and skirts come from, especially in the case of uncommon prints! :cry_happy: That way it won't take me hours on Bricklink to figure it out!

You just want is to do all the work

A good idea. I'll update my post with some links later today.

Thanks DARKDRAGON darkdragon! :sweet:

By the way, for those interested Sandy is maintaining an excellent reference topic on printed dresses, where can be found photos of all the official torso-dress combinations.

EDIT: All things considered this topic should be moved to the MCW forum and I will do so right away! :classic:

I can't find an image off the top of my head, but I thought that Alopex's character in JimB's Werewolf Mafia had a nice dress combination. I believe it was the Fantasy Era Princess' blue dress, with the Pirate Governor's daughter torso. :classic:

Maybe JimButcher could swoop down and provide an image?

This shows it quite well.

Here are a few women I made for a Victorian modular MOC.

I played with the "fancy scarf" idea for the woman on the left even though it's an outdoor torso. They all mostly have plain slope dresses. The lady in red is the grumpy cook and I thought the dwarf torso worked well. I couldn't find a torso that worked well for the maid, so just went with the apron slope.

I've been using the fantasy era barmaid/pirate female torso with the fantasy era witch skirt slope. The colour works well, but some of the printing lines are a bit off, buy hey even official printing is usually off, so let's not be too picky!
