CorneliusMurdock Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Cronk will bash Preist E from front row. E might stand for evil. Unless friends want Cronk to throw holy bomb. Would Cronk go first and then friends all be able to bash real priest? OOC: I figure Zepher won't let us but it's worth a shot. We'd have to get special damage three times this round for the apparitions to be used up. Normally that wouldn't be a problem for Cronk... Quote

A holy bomb will hit the real priest for sure, but won't make the apparitions disappear. Also, in case it is not clear, ALL apparitions will be used when Special Damage is rolled. The attack spends all of them, and does damage equal to 2xtheir current number. Quote

Scorpiox Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 (edited) "For love of the Gods, how many of these buggers can there be? I'm getting weary of this game." Haldor sighed, this wasn't the prefered result to what seemed like a simple fight, but had now evolved into a deadly chase of hide and seek. The priest of Ennoc was sifting his shape like a damp clay, morphing here and their until his imitations were too numerous to count, and the heroes could tell neither real from fake. The Nord slunk back by the cliffside, waiting to pounce on his enemies, carefully picking out his target as the Orc knight flung his bomb of light. Haldor's crystal blue eyes pierced through the fog, the one priest who flinched from the explosion would be the real one for sure, and the one that he would assualt, from the front row. Gray, in the heart of the conflict, prepared a burst of healing energy, on the same target. Battle Order: Cronk Tesni Alexis Arthur Haldor Gray Edited August 30, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote

Round Five Priest of Ennoc Battle Cronk v. Priest E - Critical Hit (0) Tesni v. Priest A - Special Damage Alexis v. Priest - Damage Alexis v. Priest - Critical Hit ([([10x2]+21)x2]x2=164) (-1 ether Alexis) Arthur v. Priest - Special Damage (+75 health) (-1 ether Priest) Haldor v. Priest - Confuses (-1 ether Arthur) Gray heals Priest - Heal (76x2 = 144) Cronk swings at a apparition and loses his balance. All the apparitions fly at the party and explode in a burst of light. When the heroes regain their eye sight, Cronk's Angel stands proudly, and one Priest stands alone. He shoots a spell at Alexis, which the Angel absorbs easily. Alexis fires off yet another successful light spell. The Priest tries in vain to heal himself, but the Gray Wizard heals him to death. CorneliusMurdock Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Priest has been defeated with help Ennoc's own angel. That what happen when mortal beings think gods are mere tools for victory. Whatever part of Ennoc is still in valley, it need be released. The Righteous Light was not meant to be forced to win battle. Righteous Light meant to inspire mortals to fight for justice for own selves. Cronk will heal Cronk and Gray Wizard and then use tonic. Hmm. Does bearded man have name? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 "Sweet. Good shots guys..." Tesni grinned. "So priest, isn't clinging to life a poor regard for the light of Ennoc? Sir Cronk here seems to be a pretty good example of what it means to embrace Ennoc. So, are you going to cling on to this plane or can we go ahead and release the power of Ennoc and return it to him?" Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Haldor took a drink of mead from his flask, now that the wicked thing had been destroyed. The Nord felt pleased to have come out on top of what looked to be an impossible fight, but the courage of his friends was undoubtable. "Good work, comrades, we did well here. Not even this kind of twisted magic can stop the crew from Heroica, so it seems. Thank the bloody Gods for your little friend there Cronk, maybe Ennoc isn't so bad after all." The Shaman walked over to investigate the slumped figure of the fallen priest, still menacing despite it's weakness. Haldor spat onto it. "I hate ghosts, sometimes things should just stay dead." The Norseman poked the Priest roughly with his boot, and extracted a worn stave from underneath the beaten creature. "Which of you lot wants this, then? Alexis, how about a staff from your uncle Ennoc?" Haldor tossed the object heavily toward the Elf, not looking to see whether she had caught it or not. Turning back to the others, he addressed them all. "So, my rabble, are we ready to move out?" Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 "Haldor, shouldn't we ask more of our defeated enemy? Maybe he can tell us more." Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 "Perfect." Alexis smiles as the priest finally goes down. Then she catches the Staff. "I'll hold it for now, but if anyone else wants it be my quest. I agree with Tesni on this one." Quote
Flipz Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 "Damn! That was a wast of Nostrum... " "Perfect." Alexis smiles as the priest finally goes down. Then she catches the Staff. "I'll hold it for now, but if anyone else wants it be my quest. I agree with Tesni on this one." "When this ordeal is over, perhaps I could hold on to it? For now, though, it's better in your hands." Arthur winks once more, and is once more surprised with himself. More roughuishness, I suppose... Arthur turns back to the Priest. "If you are truly of Ennoc, then tell me, why do you still live? How can your master justify calling forth the undead if he truly serves the Righteous Light?" A moment later, the sorcerer realized the futility of his question--and those of the others. "But that is irrelevant. More importantly...what happened next to that Party...you know the one. The one led by followers of Zoot. The one whose Knight struck a deal with you...Sir Roderick." Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 At the suggestion of his collegues, Haldor walked over and sharply kicked the priest in the stomach, he then knelt down to speak to the creature. "Well hello again there! Me and my friends have a few little things we'd like to run past you, see if you can't be some use after all. To get the ball rolling, tell us what happened after you met those heroes seven years ago? We saw you fighting them, and that bastard Roderick saving his own skin, but what happened next? Zepher Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Does bearded man have name? The Gray Wizard smiles wanly. "Now is perhaps not the best of times to discuss my origins. Some things never change, Cronk, and I think that everyone in Heroica most likely has some dark past that they keep hidden. I travelled for a long while before joining Heroica, and have seen many things since I joined Heroica. Perhaps you and I could share a drink some time, but for the time being, we must focus on the mission at hand. It is easy to lose track of your goal." "So priest, isn't clinging to life a poor regard for the light of Ennoc? Sir Cronk here seems to be a pretty good example of what it means to embrace Ennoc.
