Hobbes Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Maybe I will become a castle fan, so no matter.. :-D Psssssssssssssssssssssst... he is listening... *nervouslylookingaround*... Quote
zeki Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I also like 6 wide trucks better that 4 wide. But i still make regular vehicles 4 wide... it realy makes them all more realistic. Quote
casewindu Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I also like 6 wide trucks better that 4 wide. But i still make regular vehicles 4 wide... it realy makes them all more realistic. i agree. I think that the normal cars and vans should stil be 4 studs wide and not have the huge wheels yet i really like the 6 wide big lorries and vans makes them look more like lorrys and vans! :-D however 8 wide is a little stupid looking because they take up the whole road! Hinckley Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I also like 6 wide trucks better that 4 wide. But i still make regular vehicles 4 wide... it realy makes them all more realistic. I agree. I wish they would make even more realistic mini-fig scale vehicles. Two seaters! Maybe a four door family sedan. A cool 4 x 4. That would be awesome. Myabe trucks should be 8 wide and cars 6 wide. Mr Hobbles Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I think they would need to release 48x48 roads if they did that, the normal 32x32 just won't fit those vehicles. Quote
Brick Miner Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 i think im going to be looking to accessorize my CC... and these new city sets are really intriguing me at the moment. i love 7991 the orange garbage truck, and 7998 the green freight truck... man, LEGO is doing an awesome job in all themes this year. im going to expand my interest into either city or SW... which one is it going to be *wacko* in any case, i don't follow these city threads as much as i should have been... have i missed the pricing for the two above mentioned sets ??? in USD of course ;-) - BM Quote
xenologer Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Yup, new scales are interesting. especially when you compare say, the old 4-wide ferrari racecars with the new huge ones. I just imagine that the small versions are go-karts. Similarly, an old 4-wide car makes great golf kart when you put it next to the new 6-wide cars. About the only thing I'd really like changed is for TLG to design more of the new 6-wide cars to take advantage of the width and put two minifigs side by side, rather than just one driver. Quote
Hobbes Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 im going to expand my interest into either city or SW... which one is it going to be *wacko* You really have to think about it?! :-P Quote
Hinckley Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I think they would need to release 48x48 roads if they did that, the normal 32x32 just won't fit those vehicles. Well, then they should get on with it. Time's a wastin'! What if a LEGO mini-fig is having a baby? Is she supposed to drive herself to a hospital? Seriously TLG can be so inconsiderate to the needs of mini-fig families... Honestly! Quote

Seriously TLG can be so inconsiderate to the needs of mini-fig families...Honestly! no one is having a baby hinckley! there are so few women in the lego city! its mostly just gay male couples.. and they adopt.. that is why no one is in a harry.. and that is why the streets arent getting bigger! (that and the fact that i would kill them if they changed the roads...AGAIN) Quote

(that and the fact that i would kill them if they changed the roads...AGAIN) ROFLMAO! I agree! More female mini-figs, more gay couples and faster ambulances, bigger streets, but no new base plates, otherwise phoinix will commmit homicide. Everyone should be able to agree with that! Quote

phoinix Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 thank you legomilk!!! so this looks like its two pieces... :-/ love this car!! deffinetly will be getting this!! (where are the castle and mars pictures christian?) Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 so this looks like its two pieces... :-/ I think it might even be one. If you look at the new'ish Passenger Plane it has a back fuselage piece which looks like it should be two pieces, except it's one because they're screwed together. The way you can tell is with the sink holes for the screwes which the congrete mixer looks it has on the top. Quote

The more I look at that car the weirder the solid yellow looks. It just needs another sticker or two to be the perfect NYC Taxicab. Quote
Hobbes Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 (where are the castle and mars pictures christian?) Check the links, they all look the same and include the set number (right after the "/shop/prod/" part): http://assets.lego.com/images/shop/prod/79...000-XX-13-1.jpg http://assets.lego.com/images/shop/prod/79...000-XX-23-1.jpg http://assets.lego.com/images/shop/prod/79...000-XX-33-1.jpg Just open one of the links and change the set number to one of the new Castle sets until you hit one. If you don't know the new Castle set numbers by heart (like me) you'll sure find them in the H&A forum. Quote

alex54 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 man, LEGO is doing an awesome job in all themes this year. im going to expand my interest into either city or SW... which one is it going to be *wacko* Don't become a SW afol. There are some rumours that they do some horrible things with our so lovely bricks... *yoda* *vader* *wacko* ... Seriously, I don't think that to make bigger everyting is a good way (6-wide cars, 8-wide trucks, 48x48 roadplates,...) because you will need more space, not for your whole layout, but just for 2 houses... *wacko* Personnaly, I prefer to have smaller things and more of them. And I'm with you Phoinix, please, no new roadplates :'-( ... And thanks for the links Legomilk. I can't wait... Quote
