UniqueBuilder Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 June *y* *y* Oh really? My catalog says June for the container crane, and August for the port itself. That means that there is either different release dates, or that you shouldn't plump out with information you ain't sure about. Note: I'm not accusing anyone for anything.. 8-| Quote
Freddie Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 The norwegian catalog states that the remaining City-sets (7990, 7991, 7992, 7993 and 7998) but excluding the port (7994), are planned released in June. The port will be released in August. No dates on the new trackpiece and station. LEGO does not give Norway any special treatment (other than the lack of S@H, but we're not alone on that), so the release date is probably the same in the rest of Europe. Quote
Darthking623 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2197369 It says in the very top right hand corner "Juni" In english thats june, so thats where I got the information from *y* Quote
Skinny Boy Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Yeah Darthking's right. So, do we just wait, or? Quote

Mr Hobbles Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Just saw this picture of the new City Port set on BrickShelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/CMNed/Ri...ijswijk_026.jpg Looks awesome. Also you can see the small building for those of you that are interested. Looks like nothing special personally, but a nice touch. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/CMNed/Ri...ijswijk_012.jpg This one also has pics of the new Gas Station, Cement Truck, and "Big Green Truck". :-) Quote

phoinix Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 well these are some great pics!! thow the gas station dosent look as good as i thought it would..its kind of empty..and it looks flimpsy.. (im still gonna try and buy it) the port looks good.. thow i still dontlike how the ship is one huge piece but i guess this is the only way to make it float.. im probaply not going to get this..it looks ecxpensive and i wont have room for it in my city.. i prefer this old boat i think the size is a lot better! everything seems so huge nowadays in the lego city... Quote
Hobbes Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 everything seems so huge nowadays in the lego city... Because the new sets are supposed to reflect the real life scale better. That's what model builders (i.e. many AFOL and AFOL clubs) wanted because that's the scale they build. I prefer the older scale, too, that's why the new sets won't find their way into my collection that soon (not until they're on sale and I have time to scale them down). PS: 4030 is one of the best cargo ships ever *y* Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Some pictures of the new garbage collector truck: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=251674 PS: I love the new scale, I much prefer it to the old 4-wide everything. :-) Quote

Me too, I prefer the older scale. But I will buy all the new city sets, cause I don't want to miss them and regret that afterwards. To scale the new sets down is a good LEGO work, I like it! :-D Quote
Holodoc Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Some pictures of the new garbage collector truck: This garbage truck has doors! :'-) Finally! *y* I hope this is not a MOC, but the real thing we can see on the pics. PS: I love the new scale, I much prefer it to the old 4-wide everything. :-) Oh yes, I love the new scale, too. *wub* I Quote
Hobbes Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 PS: I love the new scale, I much prefer it to the old 4-wide everything. :-) The 6-wide trucks are OK, I don't mind those. Everything else needs a bit of downscaling, though - at least for my layout ;-) For someone just starting with LEGO or City those sets are great, no question about that. Quote

I don't think it does, if you look at the first pic it has no doors, just like all the preview shots we've seen. I think he's put doors in himself for the second and third pictures. :-( Quote
alex54 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 This garbage truck has doors! :'-) Finally! *y* Sorry but it doesn't... For someone just starting with LEGO or City those sets are great, no question about that. Totally... It's hard to have a unity in scale between the old sets and the new ones... Since this year, this scale "problem" was not a real one, but in 2007, with all those sets and particulary with CC, the scale is one of my big preocupation. Maybe I will become a castle fan, so no matter.. :-D Quote
