four Royal Marines was all that was left of the whole division. For days now they tried to get back to the shore, encountering nothing but devastated land. They were slowed down by young marine Edwards who suffered from a gunshot into the shoulder. But in this darkest hour of the night, when the group camped inside a ruin that had seen some recent fighting, they would soon be "released" of this burden. Comforting his soldier, Lieutenant Harrison told Edwards stories of his childhood in Plymouth while the young slowly faded into his last sleep.

It definitely looks like a dark, depressing scene. Ruins, pain...that's what I see here. (Those are compliments by the way. You achieved what you were aiming for. :thumbup:)

I hope it has a happy ending. :tongue:

Nicely done, it are the small details that make this a pleasure to the eye, I like how you equiped that horse and that ripped flag is pretty cool too :thumbup:
