Just from viewing the backs, I can see a lot of potential this series. I was hoping there would be fewer and fewer I'm interested in, but they keep pulling me back in. I can't wait for the fronts. But from the backs, I can say Female Archer FTW and Fortune Teller. Three dress skirts will be a bit tougher. And with those and then large headpiece of Cyclops and the Armor for the Mech/Space Villain there will be lots of bulky packages (that's what she said). So, this may take some time to sit by each figure. Maybe I'll just buy the lot of them and then return the rest. I've heard of people doing that before. On to December 3rd!

I think the toughest part will be waiting for Target to get 'em, in my area, to do squad-building. $0.50 difference between Target & TRU will add up quickly if I bought 'em all at TRU right away, and I definitely want a few Cyclopses to hang out with my Minotaurs, a few Heroic Knights if only to lend their shields to others to flesh out a faction (his armor & torso print may also affect that), a few Archers for more 'peasant' ladies and additions to the old Forestmen faction, at least a couple Mechs, and some Alien Marines to battle Galaxy Patrol, interfere with Galaxy Squad, and perhaps supply their armor & helmets to a 'mercenary' Space faction hired to augment Galaxy Patrol or Galaxy Squad in their missions (since I'm not too crazy about the enemy Alien Marines wearing gear identical to Galaxy Patrol but for color & emblem, but I love the alien prints on 'em)

Also, when I look very closely at this helmet/head, I'm not sure if this are one or two pieces. The Galaxy squad ones are all one piece, but on the CMF one there seems to be a regular head underneath this helmet.

True, it does indeed look like there's a head and a helmet combo. Nice.

Based on previous evidence - the Evil Knight and the Conquistador - I think it's quite safe to say that the knight won't have a torso print as it's covered by the armour piece. I'll be more than happy to be wrong, of course.

That Chicken Suit Guy looks completely awesome. He may be my favorite of this series, but I'll wait until we get better pictures first before deciding.

Do you think Lego released these teases to try and move noise away from the Season 10 (and 11) leak? Distract everyone back to season 9? Timing seems to be pretty good.

That is an interesting idea. I am not sure how much attention TLG gives various LEGO fan sites since there are so very many. But those images spread from EB to quite a few of them.

I doubt that TLG had time to make those promo images but they could have moved up their release in response to all the spoilers on sets 10 and 11.

I'm only getting Chicken Guy,then giving him a zombie head,he was bitten while handing out flyers for The Chicken Shack!

I'm definitely going to try and army-build the Alien Trooper and the Mech. Here's hoping the Mech's bley, not light grey.

What do you mean? Normally, I hear "bley" refer to any bluish grey color, light or dark. There is not going to be any minifigure that is a non-bley shade of grey, that is for certain. But from what I can see, I'm pretty sure the Battle Mech is white, not any shade of grey.

Ugh. Chicken suit guy, like the bunny suit guy from 7, is a nightmare. I have less than no use for that, and will presumably end up with multiples of them.

With bley I mean the darker grey. Anyway, the Mech being white makes sense. Makes it a lot better for Galaxy Squad usage too.

Why should you buy something you have no use for? I can't guess any valid reason.

Must be the same reason, why I ended up with 20! Galaxy Patrol of CMF 7 and will get multiple of the Alien and the Mech, although I only own castle-sets.

I also am a castle MOCer, but I wasn't able to resist to the Galaxy patrol charme.

I bought 20 of that.

Probably just because they're bying at random, and so they think they'll end up with a lot of them... my guess!

The only valid reason I can think of is buying by the case... or maybe from a store that doesn't allow returns. I've been fairly fortunate enough to find extras of what I wanted with the dots or 'feel' method. I only really regret being a bit too miserly about the prices and self-conscious about standing around feeling up wrappers or checking dots against a printout in the earlier series  Never got extras of the Spartan, or enough Elves, etc. But from 6 thru 8, I've been pretty good about getting my fill.

Oh yes... probably that... I forgot there's still people with lot of money to waste  I really can't think buying the wrong minifig, when I go for one, I always come back with that one!

Yeah, I can see how that would work for some people, but for me, my option is by random (S@H, mainly - interesting, that seems to link automatically) or paying extra. So it's not always a "too lazy to feel" scenario.

It'll be funny if the mech looks like a Gundam.

I'm most excited for the Cyclops (get two, then get the new Brick Warriors Orge armour = epic monster), Knight, Mermaid and what looks to be a female archer of some kind. The archer looks to have a new hairpiece which, from the look of the back, could be used as an Arwen hairpiece in the future! Still, overall, this series looks really great, with plenty of new molds and unique pieces that will become very useful!

I guess I've never felt weird about standing around feeling packets. People always look at me weird, but it doesn't phase me. Sometimes my wife will stand and help. She's actually quite good with her little hands/fingers. Normally I have to watch the little one while I'm out so it's harder to stand around. I have to grab a basketful and walk around feeling them trying to remember which packets I felt already and which packets I actually want to keep. But so far I've made only 1 error, so I'm okay with that. And I ended up just giving it to the little one anyway. She loves some of the figures (she's only 3).

I too have never felt guilty about feeling the packets. For Series 8 I was sitting on the floor near the checkouts of a TRU store feeling the bags and no-one even bothered me about it...

At the Lego Store once (series 3, I think, with me checking dots), one of the employees asked which I was after (elf, hadn't found him yet), and got another employee who was a master at feeling 'em up. Got me an elf in no time. At one TRU, they have 'em in a box at Customer Service, and sometimes an employee will ask which I'm after, but they're used to collectors spending half an hour there with packs.

But my favorite experience was at Target with a Series 6 restock... I was hunting down more Centurions (and found a couple) and a lady with her 8-ish year old son came up, he was excited to try to find a Leprechaun but they didn't have much time to stand around looking so she only let him feel a few packs. They walked off without any luck, but the pack I was inspecting as they walked off--Leprechaun! I double-checked, then raced after 'em and handed it to the boy. Felt all warm & fuzzy inside.
