Posted September 1, 201212 yr Developed at the height of the Great War' date=' the Defender was custom-built for the Jedi Order. The Jedi Council commissioned the starship after determining that Republic military vessels were not well-suited to the Jedi’s more specialized missions. The Defender’s exterior design is based on the consumer model corvette, but it has been outfitted with countless customized upgrades. The starship includes two levels. The formal upper level features diplomatic meeting rooms and an elegant conference room at the ship’s center.[/quote']After touching up the Republic Striker, I just wanted to make my own SWTOR ship, I first begun working on a Troop Transport(Like the one you start in, when you play Trooper), I got the front and back legs done, but then gave up on the body. I looked through the player ships, wondering which one to do. Thinking to myself, "Nickt" I say, "You have the Fury", indeed I did, "But nay have you a craft for your Jedi, if you build it, they will come." With untamed resolve I took to LDD, in two hours, yes, two hours, I managed to barely get the front part done, but alas, I will finish this! Maybe, kinda, one day.. Using several references, but mostly using the 3D Holoviewer on the SWTOR site: http://www.swtor.com/holonet/galaxy-map (There's an option where you can view player ships) The angling definitely is going to be the hardest thing to tackle, along with the shapes underneath the hull, requiring me to use hinge pieces reversed so that I can have studs on both sides. I also tried a lot to get it to match the paint scheme, I can't do it perfectly, but alas, you can rely on me to do whatever I can to make it look as close as I can. A view from the other side, not as appealing. I'm going to probably leave the side parts at the front hollow, 1. to save on parts and 2. It would be too hard due to the differently angled pieces coming together. There's probably going to be a lot of small gaps in the final product, which might irk some people, but in the end, you have to compromise on some things to get a desired finish. I'm going to do it similarly to the Fury, where there's a cockpit for one character and a little area in the back for two more people, or maybe T7 and Kira. If I'm lucky, I might chuck in a third seat or a storage area somewhere so that when I finish this I can look at my Fury and go "Ha!". A little better look of the inside of the.. front thing. I'll try and get updates as quick as I can, but between all my other commitments and the like, this isn't top priority, but I'm hoping that it will be most likely finished by the end of the year.
September 1, 201212 yr Author Hm, you think I should go with the red similar to the Republic Frigate then?
September 1, 201212 yr Hm, you think I should go with the red similar to the Republic Frigate then? I disagree - the normal red you're using is more appropriate for the Defender, and you sre far more likely to get pieces in red that than dark red if you decide to make it for real.
September 1, 201212 yr It all depends on the lighting here it's much lighter red. I do like this ship, one of the few things I like about TOR is the ships, they have a very nice link to KOTOR and the OT and PT. You may want to increase the angle of the front piece a little more though, it looks a little too straight at the moment.

Angling the front would cause gaps to appear at the sides of the front window section. At least, it would using the method I've used to curve them in the first place, if you want to take a look at it, I can upload the .lxf file?
September 1, 201212 yr Great start for the Corellian Defender-class Light Corvette, this is one of my favorites ship in TOR I agree with Anio, maybe you should focus on create a structure then on create the fusolage However I will follow this LDD-WIP with great attention I have a question : You think over this project to make even the ISF interceptor, or other ships from the classes of TOR???
September 1, 201212 yr It's a nice ship, too bad you've picked it up before me I would have made it with a bigger scale tough.

If the only way it can be stable is to lose the angle, then keep it, it shouldn't have to fall apart just to look good .
September 1, 201212 yr Author Hi,You should first focus on the structure instead of building the fuselage. I could see how this would be important if using real bricks, but because of the size limitations and the shaping, I wanted to get those two out of the way and then reinforce those shapes, this is possible in LDD cause when you're done all you have to do is hide some bricks then reinforce it. :D Great start for the Corellian Defender-class Light Corvette, this is one of my favorites ship in TOR :thumbup:I agree with Anio, maybe you should focus on create a structure then on create the fusolage However I will follow this LDD-WIP with great attention I have a question : You think over this project to make even the ISF interceptor, or other ships from the classes of TOR??? Thank you. Hm, looking at the ISF now and it looks simple and easy enough to do if after I'm done, I'm not too keen on making the other character ships though, the Mantis and the Agent's ship would be really difficult for me to reproduce in Lego, I've already tried about ten times to make the Thunderclap, but I shall try again after this. xD Hm, one's missing.. Oh yeah, the Smuggler ship. Yeah, I don't know, I'd probably just build the Millennium Falcon, change it a bit then give it a new paint job. xD It's a nice ship, too bad you've picked it up before me I would have made it with a bigger scale tough. Aw, you'd probably do it more justice than I could. :P I'm trying really hard to keep it in-line with the Fury, so it's going to be really annoyingly painful fun. Thanks, but my LT really hates LDD. If the only way it can be stable is to lose the angle, then keep it, it shouldn't have to fall apart just to look good . It's more of less one of the white curved pieces at the front, the one closest to the middle grey plate that stops it from going back further, if I took it away however, it'd leave a very visible gap. Not really making it unstable, just unsightly. xD
September 2, 201212 yr It's definitely a good looking ship, and you've made a nice start. I do think that it should be dark red, I can't wait to see this finished!
September 2, 201212 yr Looks great so far! If you were building this for real then it wouldn't work, but since it's on LDD maybe you could try sand red? But I think it works fine with classic red.
