The swirling mass of bodies in combat was difficult to keep track of. Nerwen focussed on each hero briefly, making sure she wasn't missing someone who needed help.

Pizarro was readying a fire bomb to throw at Boreal.

Magellan Was readying a bomb to throw at Eurose. Nerwen couldn't make out what type it was.

Cortes was readying a water bomb to throw at Nothus.

Columbus was readying a lightening bomb to throw at Zephyroth.

Hybros had what looked like a clock gear in one hand and a sharp banana in the other.

Hybros faced Eurose, his arms drawn back ready to throw the weapons one after the other.

Benji was focussed on Nothus, looking for an opening with his blade.

Guts had the stopper of a grand potion, about to drink.

Namyrra's hands were weaving a complex skein of darkness as she eyed off Boreal.

Cinna was likewise preparing to fling Darkness at Boreal.

De'kra entred the battle, aiming a strike at Nothus with his hand cannon.

Sarick had one fist full of wind directed at Zephyroth.

Sarick had the other fist full of Ice directed at Eurose.

Nerwen was calling forth healing to help Erik, even while she took stock of the battle.

Erik charged Nothus, sword held high.

Mizuki stalked Nothus, dagger in hand.

Dreyrugr had somehow found a barbell amongst the rioter's gear and was lifting it up and down.

Thalion stood like a stupefied fish, overwhelmed by the battle.

Alexander lay on the ground, knocked out.

William lay on the ground, knocked out.

Raven lay on the ground, knocked out.

IC: As he took aim, De'kra spotted Nerwen checking on the mass of heroes. As he cocked the cannon he clicked as loud as he could over the din of battle, "Sorry Gali for leave heroes to fight alone, I Appearantly not learn much for fight and Rito. I just could not bring myself to attack mob, especially to protect Bonepartes. And I was not able to squeeze between groups to heal and give supplies, so I could not help as I had plan. Still, it no excuse to leave friends to fight alone. I sorry."

The battle against the riot leaders reaches its climax. Pizarro finally figures out how to shoot bombs, so he bombards the enemies with fire, damaging Boreal and defeating Zephyroth. Boreal's Frost Aura hurts him back. Eurose uses her Rumbling Strike move, dealing 3 damage across the battle field (save herself). This move knocks out Erik, but also backfires on Eurose, since Boreal's aura works on her as well. Nothus hurts Cortes, but Columbus uses all his remaining bombs to cause a Barrage that damages Nothus and Boreal, and takes out Eurose. Hybros throws his Bladerang at the two remaining riot leaders, followed by his special Gold Reaper move that nets him 66 gold. Nothus is the third riot leader to fall, thanks to Benji's elemental bolt. Guts heals himself with a Grand Potion and Namyrra summons Xut to join the battle. Having been left alone against the heroes, Boreal goes into a fury and attacks Cinna, De'kra and Sarick in a flurry of attacks. The naga falls. Nerwen fails to heal anyone, but Mizuki brings it all to a sudden stop by stabbing Boreal to the back. The norseman falls down, gurgling blood.

THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS!

Benji, Cinna, Guts, Hybros and Namyrra earn third of a level. De'kra, Mizuki, Nerwen and the cannoneers get half of a level. Dreyrugr and Thalion earn a full level. Alexander, Raven, Sarick and William regain consciousness with one health, while Erik wakes up with full health. The enemies drop the Demonic Scissors, the Titanic Axe, the Fafnir, the Sylph Shuriken, pauldrons, a grand potion, a potion, high heels, a torch, and a horned hat.

IC: De'kra got to his feet, his form aching from the many attacks. "Thank you rogue," he said to Mizuki, "We would not have last much longer against Boreal. Now, anyone need potion?"

Guts opens his pack and lays out the items he sweeped up from his first battle:

Phoenix Essence – Revives a fallen ally with full health during a battle.

Smelling Salts - Causes the hastened-effect, allowing the target to act twice in one round for the duration of one battle.

Venom – Use on a weapon to make it cause a poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A poisoned enemy loses 1 health each turn.

Deadly Venom – Use on a weapon to make it cause the badly poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A badly poisoned enemy loses 10 health each turn.

Water Bomb – Causes 5 points of water-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to water.

Wrench - WP:3, decreases the target’s level by 1, throwing weapon

"Miss Fenarian, I suggest you divide all things as you see fit among the heroes that fought with us, I encourage you to give Miss Mizuki and Raven here a good share, they fought well."

Guts eyes the items the leaders dropped, and saw the greatsword, glowing faintly from the magics it was no doubt imbued with. Guts added:

"That... Greatsword, inscribed with 'Fafnir'. I would like to have it, if it's not too much to ask."

Guts then proceeds to wipe blood and dirt of his coat and weapons, he gives a quick glare in the way of the heroes that stood out the battle, the knight, and the metasimian, and also the demonspawn, that called himself Dek'ra, that decided to join the fight at the last moment, no doubt to just be on the winning side. Coward. Guts positioned himself on the back of the dead ogre, awaiting his party leader's words. Guts sincerely hoped she, the Bonapartes, or even the ever-passive veterans, who had only written out a lottery and nothing else during Guts' service in Heroica, would deal with them, so he would not have to.

Regaining consciousness, Raven downs a potion and stares at the treasures before them.

Wow, never knew that staying awake throughout these battles would be such a challenge. Those scissors look promising.

Hybros picked up his throwing weapons and stowed them beneath his cloak. The enemies were no match for the small army of heroes, perhaps they didn't need his help after all. He looked over the loot, then quickly walked away from the Bonapartes, sulking. He leaned against a nearby building and took a swig from a Grand Potion followed by a Nostrum. His physical wounds would heal, but not his woes about hope being lost with the Ji Pei.

IC: De'kra could feel Guts glaring, but honestly his eyes didn't even need to be white for him to be apathetic. Guts was too simple minded to worry over, though he might be someone to watch out for if he kept his threats. Regardless, his option was less than worthless.

De'kra swallowed down two potions, before he walked over to the Elven Ranger (Alexander Vandagant), and poured a potion into his mouth. As the fluid flowed into the elf, De'kra turned his attention to Nerwen, Hybros, and Cinna. Hydros in particularly seemed upset. "You okay Hydros?" he clicked as he approached the Imp.

IC: De'kra paused, before he clicked, "Right...Bonepartes opponents of Ji Pei. Ji Pei more appeal every second. I...not sure what else to say. I would suggest not give up, and maybe...maybe...consider use Boneparte favor to help you befriend Ji Pei. I...I not like that trail of thought though." The echo shifted unconfortable, as his eyes morphed into downcast emerald.

Sarick uncoiled from where he had fallen to the ground. He was in quite a bit of pain. "Can I get a heal from someone?"

He was quite frustrated that he had not learned anything from the conclusion of the fight. He then drank a Nostrum and breathed in some Smelling Salts. He then reviewed the items lost by the rioters.

"I would appreciate the Pauldrons on the ground there. I will eventually grow into them."

[Darkdragon]

The battle ends and the heroes take a moment to divvy up the dropped items. Though she was nervous to lead the small team, it all worked out well and nobody was grievously injured. After a moment to gather her thoughts and look over the team, Cinna pulls out the supplies from the Western Riot and hands them to her team-mates.

"Great work everyone. Remember to use these consumables before or during a battle, they do no good sitting in your pack." She gives Dreyrugr a little wink.

Remedy – Removes all negative effects from the target.

Mead - Causes the encouraged-effect, doubling the target's attack power for the duration of one battle.

Sharkskin Armor(Artefact/Bodywear) - SP +1, nulls water

Smelling Salts - Causes the hastened-effect, allowing the target to act twice in one round for the duration of one battle.

Grand Potion – Restores 25 health to the target.

Smoke Bomb – Allows the party to escape the battle.

Nerwen sees the short rogue looking her way but turns her back on him.

Instead she focuses on those hurt by the battle.

Nerwen heals Cinna, Mizuki, Namyrra, Sarick, Thalion, William and herself, using 7 ether.

She then drinks a tonic.

Addressing Namyrra, she asks,

May I have the torch. I believe I could make use of it. Also, if there are unclaimed tonics, I fear my healing abilities will continue to be much needed.

Benji is thoroughly confused on how to split up all the loot. He looks it over and speaks the heroes:

"OK guys there is a bit of loot I have on my hands here, and it will be impossible to give it out fairly. Some of the items have already been "claimed", and some by multiple people, so in general I will give the items to the first person who asks for it."

"Guts asked for Fafnir, Mizuki asked for the Shruiken, and Erik asked for the Titanic axe, that all sounds fine to me. Raven, I asked for the scissors first, is it OK if I take them? You will be getting loot from your own sub-party, anyways. So I'll give the scissors to myself. Nerwen, you asked for the torch and you can have it. Thank you for your help in healing everyone!"

"Sarick and William, you both want the pauldrons - can you please decide which one of you gets them? Thank you. Sarick did ask first but neither of you can actually use them right now, in any case."

Who wants the Horned Hats, and the potion and grand potion?

Also...If anyone has more than two weapons, would they be willing to give one of their extra weapons to our lower-leveled friends?
