I'm trying to create micro-scale depictions of important scenes in Ninjago. I've already got:

Final Battle

The Battle with the Devourer

The Dojo

The Ninja (and Lloyd) learning Spinjitzu

The Awakening of the Devourer

Any more ideas?

How about the Temple of Fire or the Temple of Light (either the interior or exterior)? Or maybe the NinjaBall Run? I know it's not the most important part of the series, but it would be a great opportunity to make microscale versions of all the vehicles. :sweet:

Well, I'm mainly trying to make the most important scenes for this sort of ancient temple MOC I'm working on, but the Ninja getting their elemental swords at the Temple of Light is a pretty good idea, plus I think I could pull it off at approximately the same scale as the others.

Besides the Battle Pack..

I own the complete Ninjago 2013 wave!!

The Warrior Bike is a quite the surprise. Unlike the way it looks on the box, the bike is BIG and I mean longer than the Earth Driller big. The set itself has poor, poor features. The flick fire function is okay, mind you, it's just that they are loose (they aren't the common light bley flick-missles) on a small cartridge. The unforgivable thing here is that there is NOTHING in the back side. The meat of the bike ends at the halfway point, or the cockpit, that is if you can call it a cockpit. When the Stone Warrior is placed standing straight in the cockpit (there is only a 1x2 area for the pilot) he is standing at a 45 degree angle! This is ignoring the fact that the bike has only one handle for steering :hmpf: . This is, however the Stone Army parts pack of this wave. This set includes the most ideal pieces for the Garmamech in "The Last Hope" episode, and will provide you with a handsome Stone Warrior as well. Kimono Jay is excellent, just like the other four kimono Ninja. His Jetpack will suffice, although it is made out of EXTREMELY common pieces (as opposed to Kai's Jetpack in the Rattlecopter set). You also get spare black, and gold Katanas and a black Schimitar (no spare).

Overall

6/10:This set is truly a mixed bag when you look at it. It's big (nearly $0.11 per part but the size is of a $20 set), but empty back. It includes awesome Minifigures, but it has next to no functions.

Group photo to be announced...

Well done on finding all the sets Penkid!

I recently received the Temple of Light and Kai's Fire Mech sets. Which means the the only set I need is the Golden Dragon!

This also means I have completed my Lloyd collection! I thought I would show a line up of these great figures. I remember when Lloyd was the little seven year old who wanted to be like his father, *sigh*.

Also does anyone have anyone have any good techniques for keeping the sword in in the hands of the Golden Mech and Kai's Mech? No matter how hard I try they always fall out!

EDIT: By the way, the Garmatron review is coming, personal life is getting in the way :sceptic:.

On Kai's mech. Never had an issue. Stick the sword on the larger hilt. Fold fingers around it and the mech holds it.

I did that as well, but when I move the arm for a display, it falls out! I'll try moving the hilt up and keep the bottom finger stabilising it. But for the Golden Mech, I will need a new technique.

You can just remove the sword completely and make it do hand-to-hand fisticuffs combat.

But that's just crazy, unless you like silly scenes where a robot punches a minifigure across the room.

I LOVE silly scenes where a robot punches a minifigure across the room! 8D

IMO, they should've done this for this year's sets:

First Wave

-Museum, with Grundel skeleton, Garmy and the Megaweapon, some snakes, plus the NRG ninjas (saved for the first wave of this year)

-Comic Shop, with young ninjas (ZX?), alive Grundel, Mother Doomsday

-Black Bounty, with pirates, snakes, one ninja

-Mojo Dojo, with Dareth, 4 ninja

-Captains Cabin, with Garmy, Megaweapon, Captain Soto

Second Wave

Just the same as this year's actual first wave

I think that, for the summer wave, it should have been:

Same:

  • Fire Mech
  • Garmatron

Different:

  • No Warrior/Samurai Bike, instead either a $30 "Saw Dog" (featuring Kozu and Kai) or an equal-price "Garmadon Mech"(with Lord Garmadon and Jay).
  • A different Temple of Light, with a bulkier Golden Mech and some walls instead of the one we have, where both the temple and the mech look slightly skeletal. I'd rather have a good mech and a very skeletal temple than both looking slightly unfinished.

And the big wallet-buster:

  • Overlord Battle, featuring a gigantic Dragolord (like this), a small section of rooftop plus the little turret. The minifigures would be Evil Nya and Golden Ninja Lloyd. The set would cost about $120.

And railway tracks for the turret to move on. Yeah, but there is a whole chunk of episodes that I thought were quite cool, but haven't got any recognition in the sets. All of the pirates are show specific for example.

I could not possibly agree with you more about the Overlord Battle set, since the Overlord in an evil black dragon form is what we are really missing in this year`s wave of sets!

Got my hands on 70500 Kai's Fire Mech. It was the first time I saw it in stores, and the tiny box surprised me. There definitely is one awesome mech in there! This is by far one of the best, if not the best.

Aside from some flaws with the Warrior Bike, I'd safely say this is the best wave Ninjago has offered. Great models, superb minifigures and beautiful prices. Would have been a great end to the series if, well you know.

Bought Cole's Earth Driller earlier today.AMAZING set I must say,it's just the back of the vehicle -_- they could have filled it up,but still great for a 20 dollar set.Have to agree with Wall E2624,this is IMO the best wave thus far of Ninjago.
