PenPlays Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Bought Cole's Earth Driller earlier today.AMAZING set I must say,it's just the back of the vehicle -_- they could have filled it up,but still great for a 20 dollar set.Have to agree with Wall E2624,this is IMO the best wave thus far of Ninjago. The emptyness on the back is for Kai's Fire Mech. That set got so much more amazing when I figured that out! Quote

PenPlays Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) EMRGHERD,you're right! How does it connect though? Remove Kai. Remove the black 3x4 slope in the cockpit of the Driller and replace it with a 2x4 slope (preferably black). Remove and re-attach the Hero Factory components on the arms and legs of the Mech so that they are out-facing instead of forward-facing. Push the controls against the chest. Move the arms up so that the hand is gripping the barrel gun, covering the "breasts" of the mech. Make sure the Fire Elemental Symbols are facing forward (Barrel guns' at an angle inward). Move the legs into a sitting position. Roll the feet around so that the golden toes are directly pressed against each other. Push the sword-horns down forward. They can go down all the way. Remove the thruster reverse tile an place it on the very bottom of the back plate. Push the sword-horns on the driller up. Connect the Mech onto the Driller by placing it onto the Trans-orange 2x2 cylinder. Make sure the cylinder is attached directly bellow the black 1x2 plate (originally underneath the reverse plate). Angle the serrated blades on the Hero Factory parts on the Mech's legs according to the wheels. Attach an Exo-Force robot hand (preferably black) in between the Mech's Sword-horns. You can then insert the Fire Sword here. Hide the Earth Sword underneath the back wheel's Technic brick-beam, directly attaching it onto the 4x6 dark bley plate. Seat Cole and Kai within the Driller. howie28 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Could you take pictures please? I would love to see this. Edit: nevermind, I figured it out. The mech just looks a little too big... Edited March 17, 2013 by howie28 Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Thank you Penkid! This looks awesome! It fits really well at the back, I was beginning to wonder why they didn't bother to fill the back in. The Golden Dragon appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth, so I went to the last resort, I ordered it on ebay. I actually got it for only a couple of dollars more than retail price which is okay, but it may take a while to get to me. Oh well, I am patient. Edited March 17, 2013 by Wall E2624 Quote
Zachattacx Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Thanks Penkid11! Wall E2624,ironically my Target has the Golden Dragon....that's it the entire aisle is only full of GD,nothing, not even a hint of the other sets in this wave, but that's great you got it. Quote
howie28 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I bought the Golden Dragon in Singapore, but my local Kmart and Target have plenty of GD's last I checked. Quote

DraikNova Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I feel bad for you. And I can see why you have trouble. The stores have been completely sold out of the Golden Dragon for over a month now here. I'm glad I decided to get that one first. Quote
PenPlays Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Lloyd ZX of 2013. It may not be a spinner, but it will sell for a pretty penny once Discontinued. Thank you everyone, for the kind comments for my Fire Mech "storage" design. I just messed with it one night and that's what became of it! Edited March 17, 2013 by Penkid11 Quote
horizon Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Hey, son got the Golden Dragon two days ago. I like the build, it is sturdy and all. Sizewise he is tidbit bigger then the Ice dragon. Only sets he is missing are the Temple and the Bike of this wave. Quote
Meiko Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I haven't been active in this thread in a while, but I bring good news. I got a friend of mine contact information for Jay Vincent, since he makes Ninjago soundtrack videos and puts them on YouTube. Today, he forwarded me this: ---------- Forwarded message ---------- *snip* P.S. I've just started to read the scripts for the new season. They're...awesome. Have fun! J So we're getting another full season for Ninjago! :D Quote
DraikNova Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Wasn't that already confirmed (in the show topic)? Quote
Meiko Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Oh, well at least we know it'll be awesome now. Quote
Good Cragger Fan Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I thank you for the good news, "Meiko"! Quote
PenPlays Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 There is a new Ninjago: The Final Battle App on the App Store! It is by far Lego's best offering on any mobile platform! It is a side scrolling platformer, where you hop around as the Ninja, collecting elemental orbs to change characters, while fending off the Stone Army (including Kozu and Garmalord) at different Ninjago locales. This app (unlike Brain Attack and Speedorz) works on systems older than the iPod 4/iPhone 5 generations! THE BEST LEGO APP AVAILABLE! Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Oh my gosh, I have been waiting for this app for so long! I was kinda expecting them to forget about it because of the downsize of Ninjago this year. But I am so very happy it is out now. Quote

DraikNova Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I´m wondering; do you think LEGO will try to think up an excuse for there being a post-final battle, or just ignore that? I know, it´s probably the latter. PS: I´m trying to think up a name for a gigantic Serpentine vehicle I built. Any ideas? Quote
PenPlays Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Let's see the build first. I usually am inspired after I see what is being named. Quote
DraikNova Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I'm going to be uploading some pictures in a couple of days. It's still a WIP, but I hope to finish it soon (I'm ordering the Fangpyre Wrecking Ball, the last 2012 set I'm missing). Back on-topic, I've got to say that the elemental swords seem like they're practically designed to go with the NRG suits. Metallic+tr. blend=awesome. Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I got the app Penkid was talking about and it's really fun! I played it for a while, I got to the Temple of Light, and then I had to run an errand. I come back, only to see it seems my scores are completely gone and I have to re-do the game? -Sci Quote
