PenPlays Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 It does seem to do that after you leave the game. Also the game crashes when ever I go to the loading screen after playing a level. The music, by the way, is exceptional, and much better than the last two apps (which still had good music). Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I got the app Penkid was talking about and it's really fun! I played it for a while, I got to the Temple of Light, and then I had to run an errand. I come back, only to see it seems my scores are completely gone and I have to re-do the game? -Sci It happened to me as well, I really hope it is a glitch that will be fixed in a later update. Quote
Aanchir Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) I´m wondering; do you think LEGO will try to think up an excuse for there being a post-final battle, or just ignore that? I know, it´s probably the latter. Well, they could add some kind of qualifier. This isn't necessarily the final battle in the sense that are no more battles, but some things have already phrased it as "the final battle for the fate of Ninjago", which would technically still be true if the stakes are lower in future story arcs. Realistically, though, it's more likely that they'll ignore the "final battle" branding in future arcs and keep the stakes high when it comes to season finales and the like. It'd be terribly limiting in a creative sense and terribly disappointing for a lot of fans if the writers decided that no story arc could have higher stakes than a season that had already aired. If Ninjago continues to be the setting (and there's no reason why it wouldn't), then the story will eventually need a threat to Ninjago that's as formidible or more so than those which the Ninja have already overcome. It happened to me as well, I really hope it is a glitch that will be fixed in a later update. Yeah, I agree. It was the one thing really hurting my enjoyment of the game. Now, on the other hand, it's not a long game... I was able to unlock every level and max out my upgrades within maybe an hour of play. Still didn't get gold medals on every level, but still that's not a whole lot of gameplay. I was also somewhat disappointed that the game didn't feature any actual Spinjitzu-- if it had, it would have been close to what I'd consider the ideal Ninjago mobile game as far as gameplay is concerned. PenPlays Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 The Samurai Accessory Set (the Stone Army Battle Pack) is now showing up as "Sold Out" on Lego Shop@Home. Just an FYI for those who might have been interested. Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Walmart (links to the Ninjago search results) has a couple pretty good deals on this year's sets. Quote
Good Cragger Fan Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 The Samurai Accessory Set (the Stone Army Battle Pack) is now showing up as "Sold Out" on Lego Shop@Home. Just an FYI for those who might have been interested. LEGO better damn well get more in stock -- as I have not got any of them yet, and my local LEGO Brand Retail Store has been sold out of them for about 6 or 7 weeks now! Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 The Golden Dragon arrived today! I have to say, it is extremely good looking. I love the use of the Earth Dragon's head instead of the normal one. The only trouble is that the wings came bent which really draws my attention when I look at it. So (apart from the Samurai Accessory Set) I have completed the 2013 Ninjago wave, wow do I feel proud to say that. I know I have said but I will say it again, this is probably the best wave Ninjago has offered! Quote
Bricknblue Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Walmart (links to the Ninjago search results) has a couple pretty good deals on this year's sets. And Amazon.com has the dragon for $23.50. I'm not a huge fan of the theme, but the dragon and mechs look awesome. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I just encountered something different with my Golden Ninja from the Temple of Light and the one in the Golden Dragon. Don't know if this is normal but I thought I would point it out. You may notice that the one in the Golden Dragon set (which is the one holding the sword) has a shinier mask than the other one. I just want to point that out and also ask anyone with the Golden Dragon and the Temple of Light to put their Lloyds together and check the masks. Quote
PenPlays Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Mine are both gorgeously identical. I'm not surprised by such an anomaly, though. Lego seems to have quite a few "variations" these days. Quote

Hope you don't mind me asking, but is the mask the shiny variation or the other one? Just out of interest. Quote
DraikNova Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Mine (from the Golden Dragon) has the non-shiny version. Quote
PenPlays Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Both of mine are the shiny one (the right side in your picture). Quote
refriedbeans Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 The "shiny" one looks really cool! But it doesn't match the rest of the figure as well... Quote
Aanchir Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I think it's just random variability in Warm Gold pieces. Variations like this aren't uncommon, though it's not too often there's such a striking difference between two of the same piece from the same year. I have to say I prefer the one on the left, since the mask seems to match the rest of the costume a bit better. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 The colour of the mask on the right is the colour I was hoping of the rest of the Golden Ninja, so yes the one on the left blends better with the rest of the figure. Quote
Devorath Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I don't actually have Golden Lloyd, but I would prefer a shiny gold. A dull gold would be less spectacular, and Lloyd is ment to symbolise a glowing beacon of strength, hope, unity, duty, and destiny, so I think the shiny version would make more sense. Quote
DraikNova Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I think the shiny gold would look better than the pearl, but only if the entire figure was that shiny. Sure, Lloyd was ridiculously shiny during the pre-final battle , but just one part of the figure being a different color wouldn't look too good. PS: I've finally finished that Serpentine MOC! Quote
VBBN Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I don't really have much in the Ninjago way of things, but that Temple of Light set looks quite nice, very reminiscent of 2007 Exo-Force sets in my opinion. The golden Ninja is also quite nice, wouldn't mind throwing him on display. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I need some help for a custom Overlord figure right after he took over Garmadon's body. I just want to ask if if anyone knows of any black heads with purple eyes. It would be greatly appreciated, wether the answer is yes or no, if you could answer. Quote
PenPlays Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'm not one to say in regards to minifigure heads, but isn't the Garmalord included in the Temple of Light set? It's obvious that the Stone Army mouth guard was added for that effect, but I can understand you reasoning for wanting more of a relation to the show. For those of you that were experiencing problems with the Ninjago:The Final Battle App, an update was released well over a week ago. It saves and doesn't lag as much now. Quote

For those of you that were experiencing problems with the Ninjago:The Final Battle App, an update was released well over a week ago. It saves and doesn't lag as much now. I don't know if we can assume the mouth guard on Lord Garmadon is meant to represent the Overlord. After all, it could be that the mouth guard was intended by the set designers to just be a part of the helmet of darkness, and it was just omitted in the show because it would make Lord Garmadon less expressive. Certainly it's not unknown for the show's character and prop designers to deviate from the minifigure designs for similar storytelling reasons, such as Samurai X having a mask over her eyes instead of just over her mouth to better conceal her identity, the Ninja frequently appearing without their masks, etc. The movie "BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn" and many of the Hero Factory TV specials similarly modified the sets' masks to be more expressive: when in battle, the masks are rigid, just as they are in the sets, but outside of battle, the part covering the mouth and chin would often flip up or recede, or else hinges in the masks' designs would simply unlock. Showing characters' faces is important when you want viewers to identify with the characters on an emotional level, and this definitely applies to Garmadon during the Overlord story arc, where his conflicted emotions about having to confront his son are central to his narrative. Yes that was my idea, to use the Garmadon included in the Temple of Light and give him a black head with purple eyes. Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 According to a source on Brickset Legends of Chima will replace Ninjago. The characters are minifigs with animal heads like Cats, Lions, alligators, Eagles, and they have Ripcords instead of Spinners. I guess Turtles will be a smaller line, similar to Spongebob, as they say there's only 6 sets. Ninjago has one more round with the GOLD NINJA and the GOLDEN DRAGON these plus instead of Garmadon it's now Garmatron and he's huge and has a cool new hat. Not my info, just passing it on, so make of it what you may. actually garmatron is the bog tank thingy Quote
