Tear in the Sand

In the middle of a parched wasteland, full of blistering sand and rough sandstone, a small secret is hiding itself from the eyes of men. A spring of chilling and refreshing water.

It is told, that this is the cleanest and most beautiful source of water in the whole world, and that it's taste can charm anyone. Rumor has it that it tastes like morning dew or extract of aloe plants. It's effects are medicinal and anybody to drink of it shall remain young, healthy and beautiful, forever.

But nobody knows for sure, although many adventurers have set off in search of the spring, none of them returned. Because even if a chosen one actually found it, he would be so amazed and attracted to it, that he could not break away from it and travel through the desert back. He would stay there forever.

A brave band of villainous pirates is now searching for the spring. The sun is laughing in their faces and the hot sand has repeatedly taken it's toll. There are just a few of them left, but they have reached their destination, although very exhausted and dehydrated. For the last few days, the only liquid left to vanquish their thirst was red wine. Maybe even for that, they just started fighting over a teardrop inside the cave. If only they knew how close they are...

The soil here had suffered from shakes, the sandstone and pillars in the cave might not survive everything, so they must be very careful. And they still do not know who and when built this structure, whether it's a gift from the God, or from the devil himself. But we all know that all the gold and treasures in the temple are of no value. The only real treasure here is a sip of crystal clear water.
