I love that little pontoon helicopter in the 60014 Coast Guard Patrol set. So simple, but a genius design.

On the other hand, what's with all the helicopters lately? For kids just getting into City recently, they'll end up with more copters in their town than cars!!!

Coast Guard Plane, takes the crown for the pig ugliest set of the year

Nawwwww, pigs are cute.

The coast guard plane at least isn't as humongous as the police seaplane you mentioned. Better for small hands and at least the set includes a decent boat. The best set out of the summer bunch to me is the coastguard ship. A lovely white hull which is far more useful than the rainbow of colours we've had previously. It's got a green rubber dinghy, helicopter and lighthouse. Cracking little set.

The cargo terminal doesn't actually have a terminal just a honking great plane no-one has room for. Also the white and green plane has grey wings. Odd. The cargo heliplane is ugly but so is the real plane it's based on. I actually love the new large nose piece. If I don't buy the set I'll definitely buy a few of the nose pieces that will certainly deluge Bricklink. It'll be useful for space MOC's. The cargo truck just looks like the last one but with less in the set to me.

One thing that worries me is the sudden appearance of sharks in the waters around Lego City. The guy in the seaplane set is gonna need a bigger boat........

Maybe lucky for me I'm not considering buying any of the coast guard sets, it's going to hard enough to find room for a cargo jet.

Why would Lego design an ugly aircraft with a <insert that tiresome argument> piece from the description......ah, in the for young builders range Lego have produced a single piece chassis with wheel mounts and mudguards......lets all hope Lego doesn't slip back to the days of the late 90's.

Okay here is my take on the new city sets. The vehicles are great but once again they failed to expand into newer subthemes. Yes,they did give us more unique versions of fire and police(swat and forest) but still no Zoo theme or different civilian buildings. Now fortunately the CMFs have provided us with a lot of the unique city figs that the city line has failed to give us. But I still think they should produce some more exotic buildings and vehicles for the main city line. Well enough of my ranting maybe some day we will see a Zoo theme.

I find it really funny so many are objecting to the size of the new cargo aircraft, when it really just looks like a new (green!) version of 7893...

As for the wing being grey, that wing has been grey in the last, what, 3 models its been released in? 4?

It looks like the plane in 60022 Cargo Terminal improved on the limited storage in 7734 Cargo Plane. The conveyer truck looks really neat and well-designed.

I'm a sucker for a well-designed forklift and the one in 7733 Truck & Forklift set the bar for me. The one in 60020 Cargo Truck looks very promising!

I've not made up my mind on the Coast Guard sets but the boat in 60015 Coast Guard Plane looks good enough to be a set by itself.

Cheers from Claremore, Oklahoma USA! :classic:

Same here, for some weird reason I love forklifts (maybe because I see them daily in my work  ), and the upcoming one in the Cargo Truck set looks very promising. Even if this new forklift uses the single piece 64450.jpg as opposed to the brick-built solution in 7733 which I personally prefer, I'm still looking forward for the new version since I missed the last one. :classic:

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this but there is also two sets for City 2013 that are race team trucks. One include a red 4x4 and another one a Octan sponsored formula 1. Unfortunately I do not remember the set numbers.

EDIT: sorry, did not see that some pictures has already surfaced for 60025 and 60027

I was hoping for a warehouse though with a forklift and several containers that could be placed at an airport. Maybe the containers could of have lego boxes in them to be delivered to kids all over the world like in the Toys R Us truck.

In fact i do think a big hanger is missing in the cargo plane set where you can put the plane to do repairs and stuff.

Can anyone confirm if the torso and legs on the police helicopter pilot in the Museum and Helicopter Arrest sets is the same torso and legs as on the police helicopter pilot in last years forest police station?

They look the same, although Bricklink hasn't linked the shirts of the newer sets yet:

Analysis of the Bricklink database (which is pulled from the LEGO database) shows that the sets do include the same part (or at least LEGO considers them the same part)

Which is good enough for me and means I dont need to buy the Helicopter Arrest or Museum Break-In just to get the torso and legs (as I already own a Forest Police Station)

I am sure you are talking about the Brickset database, aren't you?

Remember, this is City! They only do front facades of buildings, no way you'd get the entire thing.

I think the new front end piece looks good, I think it will work better for helicopters than the airplane part used on various helicopters in the past (e.g. it was used on the helicopter in last years medical center set)

The Coast Guard Helicopter looks pretty sharp! The new nose piece looks really nice and can be used from some great helicopter builds!

US Coast Guard.....what does everyone think ?

Dam it.....I wasn't going to go for the coast guard stuff but I do like this copter.

Edit - look closely and you'll see the shark attack set plus the side view of the coast guard pick up truck.

It looks like there is a new lower part in orange underneath the white nose piece, lets hope that piece comes in other colors too (white would be nice)
