Now back on topic.....has anyone noticed that the bike shop has no walls at all just the window frontage and central ceiling support pillar ?

Lightningtiger, it is not thát weird to have a building that only has windows as support.. here a picture of the office i'm working.. the outside is glass, On the inside there are a few pillars.....

I didn't mean it that way.....we are use to the normal open back city/town sets....one rear opening not two openings.

Getting back to the Coast Guard and Parcel sub themes.... Does anyone have a release date for these? We've got to be getting close soon, right?

I believe after July.....which means for us Aussie's - the Kmart Mid-year Toy Sale ! (they get the first bite of the second half releases for city).

Yep, just checked their website.....only the coast guard sets minus the coast guard plane/fishing boat set.

I love the new coast guard sets but, man were getting a lot of sharks... Three in one set alone?? Is that necessary? Good thing is the sets are also flush with minifigs

It seems only TRU US has the coast guard sets.....fingers crossed for the mid-year toy sale in Oz now.

Im lucky the coptor is the only set I want so I get the white shark, I think the old 2008 coast guard ship is better and I only just recently bought that.

Thanks for sharing the link 'lluisgib', interesting to see the design positives and odd negatives in the set.....especially for those gaps on the bus ? (nothing a few 1x1 square plates won't solve eh ? )

I'm still wanting to buy this set when it comes out....fingers crossed mid-year toy sale (foot-note.....Kmart Aust. have told me it will NOT be them carrying it)

That piece is a few years old, the wind turbine transport had them for the mast for the turbine.

I'd say it's more than just a few bricks old — the four-brick high variant, 6259, has been around since my childhood! The Wind Turbine Transport had the newer five-brick-high variant, 85941, which has a larger cutout in the center.

Thanks for posting the review! I'm a bit disappointed with the interiors of the shops, but it's nothing less of what I expected. The set is a must buy for me, still!
