the Brick Kid Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 The second wave of sets look really nice, a big improvement on the alien vehicles IMO, i just wish the first wave would come out in Australia! Quote
vynsane Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 It's odd how similar in design the Galactic Titan is to to the Bug Obliterator. It's basically a beefed-up version that's been re-provisioned to the blue team. Billy should have gotten a sleek starfighter with huge fastpack engines or something... instead of the shaft, again. Echo Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 As with the first wave, the human vehicles look nice, but I'm not interested in the aliens. Anyone else a bit disappointed in the lack of proper spaceships for the Squad guys? Other than the Swarm Interceptor, the Squad is mainly ground vehicles. I'm okay with that so long as the ground vehicles are as good as the Vermin Vaporizer, but it's still disappointing to see so few spaceships in a space theme. Quote

Virtually no ground vehicles to speak of. I don't mind, actually - helps to differentiate the themes. Quote
Sid Sidious Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Plot twist: Red team is actually made of aliens. They don't have their own vehicles because they use the alien ones. Quote
Endgame Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Plot twist: Red team is actually made of aliens. They don't have their own vehicles because they use the alien ones. It all makes sense now! The reason why Red Robot's head is shaped that way is to signify to the other Galaxy Squad members that it is a trap! Quote
Echo Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Here is my contribution to the campaign to raise awareness of Billy's plight: And in case anyone wants to use Billy in a wheelbarrow as an avatar or something. Quote

Cobb Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) I'll only get the 70700 Space Swarmer, it's the cheapest of the bunch and I like that alien the most. Edited December 29, 2012 by Cobb Quote
TimH Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Hilarious photo's Echo! Wheelbarrow power!! Quote
Jargo Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) I just realised looking at Echo's brilliant comic that the red robot looks like a buck-toothed rabbit. I'm going to name him 'Bugs Burn-e'. The green robot I'm naming 'OMG1' because of his gaping mouth. The blue one I'm naming 'Gibb-0n' because he looks like an ape. The orange one I'm naming 'Minimus-2' because he has that Transformer look but is tiny. It just felt weird the robots not having a name or number. Looking at the pic of 70708 Hive Crawler it looks like there's two tiny red team machines. one is obviously the scooter craft but there's a second thing in the background which looks like some sort of weapon. It has a blue blast coming off the front same as the foreground scooter. To hazard a guess I'd say it's a cannon with 'wings'. like a divers scuba-scooter but for space. And weaponised. So that's three tiny pieces of equipment Billy has at his disposal. Edited December 30, 2012 by Jargo Quote

gerkenz Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) Wow, that's really cool! Thanks for that idea! :-) I would say...we need the coolest MOCs for the red team! But wait, I still can't buy them in Germany. some say...in January - and the shops say 13th April! Edited January 3, 2013 by Ricecracker Please don't quote images Quote
Antonio Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Hmmm i think if i get the Swarm Interceptor 70701,Star Slicer 70703 and Galatic Titan i might mod it (Galatic Titan) to add some place for the vehicle from 70703 and fighter from 70701.To make it some sort of a movable base.I hope we get some bigger vehicle /bases for the other squads. just2good Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Someone here should make Billy a ship and post it on Cuusoo! Quote
Jargo Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 HAHAHAHA! Just brilliant. I wholeheartedly concur. *giggle* There should be a Flickr group for Billy too, where all these great Billy 'homage' images can be displayed to the wider world. Quote
krystalKING Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Looking at it, the galatic titan is acutally the oppisite of the bug obliterator, wherareas the bug oblitator is a spaceship with a ground vehicle, the galatic titan is a ground vehicle with a spaceship. it is amassive, with 4 treads instead of the 2 that most tanks have. The overall design is very similar to a vehicle from the closing days of Exo-force, while the centipede thing is amazing, while the base is lackluster, a little tower and a small refuleing station. What do Insectoids need with fuel? Overall, I'll wait for beter pictures before judging it. Quote
