Looking at it, the galatic titan is acutally the oppisite of the bug obliterator, wherareas the bug oblitator is a spaceship with a ground vehicle, the galatic titan is a ground vehicle with a spaceship. it is amassive, with 4 treads instead of the 2 that most tanks have. The overall design is very similar to a vehicle from the closing days of Exo-force, while the centipede thing is amazing, while the base is lackluster, a little tower and a small refuleing

station. What do Insectoids need with fuel?

Overall, I'll wait for beter pictures before judging it.

Why do they need fuel? To power their ships, obviously.

You seem to have gotten a better look at it than I have!

krystalKING have you seen the actual catalogue or just the same tiny .jpg's most people have?

Same tiny PNGs. I saved them and then zoomed in, its somewhat blurry, but I still managed to get a good look.

But regular gasoline? I mean really, they should have power cells or something, not gasoline!

Looking at the hive crawler, its stunning. Sure, red team is still small, but he gets an amazing speeder, plus a wierd cannon thing his robot is flying. The crawler itself is a wird, bulky thing-a-ma-jigger.

There is some very intresting new parts in this, 2 pink pods can be seen, one is near billys speeder and has a small larve coming out of it. I was very suprised when I saw this, this is substantial evidence that the insectoids are roaming, not hive makers. Looking at it, the small tower in the galatic titan has a small pod on it too. Ther is also a specialized mosquito figure with multiple dark red markings on it, is this the queen figure we asked for?! I can't see much more, as this is the most blurry of the 4.

CLS-89 Eradicator Mech

This is a lackluster set, there is no insectoids, just 2 little brick-built things, and the mech doesn't bend at the knees, This might be because of the starfighter mode, however.

This does bring one small positive. the orange team member is wearing the seiries 4 hazmat suit with a red visor!

Crater Creeper

I can't see much of this, but it looks like a well built insectoid walker, and the green team member is driving a flying version of the buggy from Vermin Vaperiozer.

LAST NOTE: These are going to be released in july 2013.

Just wanted to say, I love the new Galaxy Squad theme! It actually got me back into Lego after 25 years! There's an epic inter-species war vibe, that every other Lego space theme up until now has been lacking.

However the whole Power Rangers 'squad' thing feels a bit limited in scope, and also doesn't satisfy my army-builder impulses. I'm going to have to ditch the 'squad' and expand it out into the Galaxy Force. I'm thinking something like:

Green: ground forces

Blue: space forces

Orange: spec ops?

Red: janitorial services (seriously though, I can't think of what to use red for...)

Also those 'robot side-kicks' don't do anything for me. Lego mini-figs are too blocky already. It's just too hard to distinguish between 'humans' and 'androids'. I think Lego robot side-kicks should look like this or this. Luckily you can replace the useless gundam heads with normal CMF heads and add another trooper to the platoon.

As for the vehicles: The Vaporizer is going to have to become an APC for a squad of marines. It's 'mighty mech' is no good by itself, so needs to be expanded into an entire unit. The Obliterator I'm not sure what to do with.. maybe it becomes a gunship? Or a dropship? The swarm interceptor is fine as it is, but we're going to need to need a squadron of them now, with different load-outs and sub-types.

Anyway, sorry for the random rambling - just throwing out some crazy ideas for my first post.

I personally modded my own Vaporizer to have a little dissection table and some tools. It's a tight fit but increases the playability in my eyes.

If this set ever has a third wave, I predict a $120 Red-Squad juggernaut just to appease all the billy-no-mates people.

I've been looking at the hive crawler a bit more, and this is most certainly going to be a legandary set, I mean, look at the Larve and the Queen, and the huge cannon in the midde, and the overall insectness.

(Better description on all the sets above.)

Hmmm, so in a set called 'Hive Crawler' you see evidence that Insectoids don't make hives? You might want to take a moment and think that one through again....

Jargo, cancel that, in the latest Lego Club magazine, they overtake each planet, then take everything they captured to their hive home planet. This means they DO have a hive, and that they are galatic Invaders.

Also, they placed special emphasis on red Squad.

Any chance someone could scan the GS page/s of the club magazine and post them? The only club magazine I get delivered is a club junior one for some kid that used to live in my house. :sceptic: I really must join the Lego Club myself at some point. Can't help feeling a bit too old for that though.

Woo hoo, my Lego order was on my front step when I got home from work. Let the building (and battles) begin!

Btw, I already can't wait to add the next GS wave to my forces.

...Holy cow! That is a lot of LEGO.

I've decided that, since orange is my least favorite color, and the sets they come in are a bit too pricey/don't appeal (Obliterator and Summer Mech, respectively) I'll be focusing on just Red, Blue, and Green teams: and any duplicates I get from Summer wave I'll just do some head-swapping.

Great stash! I don't think I'll get that many of the bigger sets for budgetary reasons, but if I did I would go with 4, 5 or more of 70701.
