Endgame Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Interesting - the red team vehicles actually combine into a somewhat respectable ride! Go Billy! Thanks a bunch, GRogall. Edited March 24, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Spider-Man Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Wow those look incredible! That last set is just ridiculously cool! Quote
drdavewatford Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Delicious ! I can't resist a mech, and the Titan also looks great. In fact, they all look great ! Having said that, I shouldn't get ahead of myself; even being able to get my hands on the first wave of sets would be nice - come on, LEGO - let's be having them in the UK please..... D. Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks, Grogall! I'm so excited for these! -Sci Quote
just2good Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Taking another look, the mech is a lot smaller than it looks on the box... but I like it that way! It seems to be a tad smaller than the Agents robot. Quote
ReZourceman Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Ugghhh I want some.....ANY Galaxy Squad! Quote
Algernon Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 It doesn't matter how often I see the Galactic Titan, it's always like love at first sight. Quote
ManInATopHat Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks for the pictures GRogall! I love that last one! It'll be WAY to expensive though. The rest are kind of ugly, to be honest. I hate bugs. Quote
Wardancer Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I am not into space whatsoever, but these look very good to me. They have a great Starcraft or Starship Troopers feel to them. Interesting that they made molds for these tiny bugs. Quote
DraikNova Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 They still look just as awesome as they did before. A little shinier, maybe. I can't believe they managed to cram a combining function into such small vehicles. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I'm quite smitten with the green team sets-- I've actually developed this sort of storyline in which the green units are a sort of Space Artillery to come to the aid of my Galaxy Patrol S8 figs. For the record I also grabbed the Swarm Interceptor and will probably get a second, but do not feel the same allegiance to the blue units... I guess my question is, "does anyone else find themselves collecting a single color of the line?" Or is it just me? Quote
Kalhiki Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 These look great. Weakest being the Crater Creeper. The other are just glorious. Crater Creeper is, like I said pretty weak. However, the Green Team vehicle is nice. Looks like a little hovercraft. The Mech gets better and better as I continue to look at it. Not my favorite mech of all time, but awesome nonetheless. I especially love the insects that come with it. Now the Hive Crawler is a beauty to behold. Just looks menacing all around. And something about the cannons on its back just look splendid. Also, it's kinda cool that they used one mold for both larvae. The Galactic Titan is just straight up gorgeous. Solid design in both complete and split modes. Can't wait to see more of it. PenPlays Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I love that last one! It'll be WAY to expensive though. $100 for over 1,000 pieces is a steal in this Lego age! I'm trying my hardest to get all of the Winter Wave sets before the Summer Wave releases! Being that I barely have started, if these things come out early, some of the Winter sets might discontinue before I get the chance! I love this Summer Wave! Quote
krystalKING Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I am really liking the look of the galatic titan! Might actually get that one! Hive crawler is so full of awesome that its OP. I still don't know what to think about the CLS-89, I'm not a big fan of the design, but more pictures in detail might change me. Crater creeper is an army builder, I like it. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Curse my absurdly small budget! These sets are so amazing (70706 asides), yet I probably won't be able to get any when they come to the UK. A shame, because they are so well designed. Hopefully this theme continues into 2014 and beyond. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 THE ERADICATOR MECH!!!! Mechs are awesome...... Quote
M'Kyuun Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 It doesn't matter how often I see the Galactic Titan, it's always like love at first sight. I'll second Algernon; the Galactic Titan looks amazing every time I see it. Looking forward to getting all of these. Quote
Artanis I Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks G for the official pics. Not a huge fan of the mech, unless it transformed into a ship like a Starcraft viking. As it is I might buy 2 of those, 1 each of the big sets and a few of the crater creeper. I count only 3 stickers on the cheaper set and @12ish on the other 3. Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Some of the vehicles, etc., scream Starship Troopers over and over ! Especially the bugs in the mech set. Quote
A Plastic Infinity Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I fainted for a minute there...these are flawless. Quote
The_Creator Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Awesomeness times infinity. Thanks GRogall! Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I don't really like this theme, but that last set is very nice. I think I'll probably buy that one. Quote
DrasticPlastic Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 This theme is the real surprise of 2013 - I was not impressed at first...and then you get your hands on some of these sets and realise just how great they are. The first wave was very strong - but wave two is an instant classic. The bug designs are incredible and as for the galactic Titan - this could be one of the best lego sets, the greebles, play features and sheer size are fantastic - I can't see myself getting less than 2 Quote
Wardancer Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 A giant bug hurling huge slime balls filled with angry larvae towards unsuspecting soldiers - is this a common level of violence and slimyness for LEGO space? Quote
