May 18, 201311 yr Got my Hive Crawler today. It's a fantastic set. Build was very enjoyable, and it looks amazing. The play feature is very cool as well, and it looks great on display.

I'm hoping the BOGO made up the mark-up difference. My TRU had some new Castle sets, the new Coast Guard sets, and Crater Creeper, Hive Crawler, and Eradicator Mech. I wish they'd had the new City VTOL from the Cargo theme...closest we'll probably get to the V-22 Osprey in an official LEGO set.
May 19, 201311 yr First sighting of the new sets at TRU for me. Didn't get any of the sets, but they had 'em all, minus the Galactic Titan. Kalhiki
May 23, 201311 yr With my Hive Crawler and Eradicator Mech all built, I decided to have a bit of fun with some paper-mache... and this display is the result! I give you... Planet Culex! (spoilered for lots of images) Reveal hidden contents The Mantizoid sits in the Hive Crawler, barking orders to the lesser insects in his army. The Red Team heads on a rescue mission to save the Blue Robot... but looks like one of them got bowled over by a Warp Stinger shot. Ouch. The Swarm Interceptor is in turret position, just about to open fire on an Alien Scorpion. Some large alien insects, out a-prowlin'. Looks like the Space Swarmer is trying to take a bite out off the Vermin Vaporizer... Two alien larvae and their caretaker close in on the Bug Obliterator. The mighty spacecraft was malfunctioning due to the sticky eggs gunking up the works... courtesy of the Hive Crawler's catapult, no doubt. Those captured in cocoons are rescued and placed by the cliff, guarded by Galaxy squad's best. The Eradicator Mech aims down from its perch, ready to blast that Space Swarmer to oblivion. The war between man and insect rages on on Planet Culex...

May 24, 201311 yr Here's some advice for a makeshift tripod (no, not the vehicle ): just use a pile of books. Anyway, awesome display!
May 25, 201311 yr Galaxy squad is coming soon... Awesome! Ever since the first wave came out I have been eagerly waiting for this. All I've been able to get so far is Bug Obliterator and Swarm Interceptor, so I can't wait to complete the theme.

May 26, 201311 yr Not seeing the Galactic Titan really makes me wonder. About what? I'm not sure. But it's the coolest set of the wave (possibly the whole theme) and I just want to see it become available. Oh well, I'm sure it'll come out it time. Kalhiki
May 27, 201311 yr Don't worry, LEGO advertises it on their June flyer so I'm sure it's just a late bloomer and will come out with the LOTR stuff on June 1st
May 27, 201311 yr We can be assured that the Titan will come soon. Maybe :LEGO is being kind to our wallets by releasing it later, so we can get the Creeper, the Crawler, and the CLS-89 beforehand.
May 27, 201311 yr Yeah, TRU has the Crater Creeper and the CLS-89. You know the Titan will be here soon just to test our willpower.
May 27, 201311 yr When the Galaxy Squad sets come out here, I will make some kind of War of the Worlds scene. What will you do with Galaxy Squad? (If you decide to do anything, of course.)
May 27, 201311 yr Well, I only have the Warp Stinger, and I realized since the cocoons break on impact, that if I laid it on the groung and used the ball shooter on its tail, it broke. Makes for an interesting rescue scene. I'm gonna load one of the CLS-89 cocoons (in lime green) into the Hive Crawler's butt catapult when I get both for a "heroes utilize disgusting insect spawn launcher to free compatriot" or whatever. Basically, they've got great play value. Launching the cocoon might hurt for the Squad member, but he has a helmet!
May 27, 201311 yr I'm not a big fan of Galaxy Squad (the bug aliens are awesome though!), but the Galctic Titan is just too awesome to miss out on. Too bad I don't have the money for it. Edited May 27, 201311 yr by Gremer

May 29, 201311 yr I purchased the CLS-89 Eradicator Mech at the Lego Store this past weekend... Best set I've built so far this year! The transformation is so satisfying, as well as the size of the set! The walker looks much smaller on the box. 10/10! Must buy for any space fan!

May 29, 201311 yr Target seems to have Galaxy Squad and City sets on a BOGO 50% deal this week. The only catch is both sets have to be from the same theme. So 2 GS or 2 city.

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason the 2008 police helicopter is still around is that it didn't sell too well and was massively overproduced... and in that case, it makes sense that massively popular sets and themes wouldn't stick around for as long after their initial release. Once they're out of production, they don't linger in some stockroom or warehouse — they sell out much more quickly.
