September 10, 201212 yr 8094 (Control Centre I) was released in 1990. 8485 (Control Centre II) was released in 1995. I'd link them, but there's a spam filter for new users. Check out Brickset though, and search for their set #.

September 11, 201212 yr Control Center I is powered by batteries, while Control Center II has an additional jack for plugging a power supply.
