ZCerberus Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 So after a lot of futzing around, I finally have an Avatar I like, and a signature I am okay with... What does everyone think? Yay? Nay? Neither? Ideas? Here are the pics in full size in case I should change the avatar some day rendering this post pointless! Avatar Signature Quote
ghoulrealm Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I think the avatar is a bit busy. I tend to think of an avatar as a painted portrait more than an action/on duty shot. and the in the Signature, the minifigs are too dark or the background is too light. The contrast is a bit harsh on the eyes. However, it's not that big a deal. It's fine, if you like it. Quote

Well I like this Avatar better than the last, and I think it is focused enough on one figure that it works okay. On the second point, however, we are in agreement. Maybe I will try a darker background and move the figures up more, so their feet are less in the shot. Thanks for the advice! Let's see if this is a little better... Quote
Norrington Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 They're walking on water... are they gods or something? Quote
ZCerberus Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 They're walking on water... are they gods or something? Yes!! Or they are just close to the shore! Quote
Scouty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Wow, The newest sig looks good. It's still a bit to dark. You may want to fix it by raising the brightness and maybe lower or raise the contrast. But they are really really close to shore! Quote
Norrington Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 THough i do have a question, why does your sig still say "Three heads, and none of them could think of something interesting to write in the signature block!" Quote
ZCerberus Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 THough i do have a question, why does your sig still say "Three heads, and none of them could think of something interesting to write in the signature block!" That is a general Cerberus reference... even though I am no longer using the strange three headed CAD thingy! I still think it is a little funny ;) Quote
El Bucanero Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 How about this:" FIVE heads, and none of them could think of something interesting to write in the signature block! "?? Quote
Scouty Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 It's a qupte from a person though, that's (probably) why ZCerberus(Op, now I get his name!) has it. Quote

ZCerberus Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 Hmm... maybe I should clarify... Cerberus is a mythical three headed dog from Greek mythology. I always liked the idea and some of the imagery surrounding the beast. I would give you a picture if I were sure I had one that was not copyrighted... but since I don't... how about this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerberus 'Fluffy' in Harry Potter is a rip off of Cerberus. The 'Z' in front came from constantly trying to use the name and not having it available. The 'Z' in front always made it available, so there you have it, 'Z Cerberus'. and hence the reference to having three heads! Quote
