Heh what is wrong with character names on that box picture?

The graphic designer at Lego didn't have his fonts set up correctly I guess. For some reason "Matthew" and the "S" in Ms Stevens were perhaps in a different font variation, and when they moved the files to another PC that didn't have those fonts installed it went cuckoo like that. Happens a lot in design work. I've never seen that happen on a Lego item though. I hope that was just on whatever PC they use to do the 3D box renderings and it didn't go to print like that!

Or the cynical side of me says they did that to find leaks. They put certain edited box images on the internal network and wait to see which ones show up on Eurobricks so they can find who is leaking them ;)

Hasn't there been an azure colored bike before? Or was that light azure?

Medium Azure bikes have been in this year's Pink Suitcase and last year's Adventure Camper. I imagine this one is the same color.

I've grown quite fond of Medium Azure. At first I was not sure if it and Dark Azure were too similar in color to be useful, but overall I like how Medium Azure basically looks like how Transparent Light Blue might look if it weren't transparent. Emma's Splash Pool used this to great effect last year, and I'm kind of disappointed that the water features in Heartlake City Pool use regular Transparent Blue instead, which doesn't have the same effect.

The bike colour is cool, I got one in the camper set a while ago, I made the camper into an ice cream van.

There's one in the Dolphin Cruiser too. Gender diversity!

Im most excited about the Dolphin Cruiser, It looks amazing and totally unique, plus I will finally get a dolphin, well 2 actually.

Yeah, the new dolphins are cool, though to be honest I'm not sure if I'd use them in a non-Friends layout as-is, because they of course have the same style of emotive, animesque eyes as other LEGO Friends animals rather than the black bead eyes typical of other LEGO people and animals. Of course, they do skirt one frequent criticism of Friends animals (their roundedness compared to other LEGO animals) since the classic dolphin was not much better in that regard. And they seem to have more connection points than the classic dolphin — like the Agents/Pirates shark, the back of their dorsal fins seems to be a handle for clips to attach to.

Thanks for finding the pictures Sci! I like the oven in the Bakery set... I didn't see that at the Toy Fair!

The pic of the two minifigs from the Dolphin Cruiser on a jetski and waterskis just reminds me just how much I wish TLG could print short sleeves on traditional minifigures. Unfortunately I don't think with their current printing machines this is possible since the arms are printed after the fig is assembled and the pad hits the arm only from one side. Ah, well... maybe one day.

The jetski, by the way, uses the new 1x2 plate with single clip quite nicely for attaching the handlebars. Really proves the usefulness of that piece.

Thanks Aanchir! I'm really excited for this sets as they have so many great parts! My favorite is the bakery- So much food inside! The cake design is very interesting- it's very basic but it looks great in Minidolls scale.

My niece (8) has a growing Friends collection. She is excited about the yacht and is glad that there are boys in this upcoming summer's sets :classic:

My daughter is the same, she points out all of the sets that she has and has this huge smile on her face. I'm glad that they brought a set out that was tailored to girls and was something different.

I believe I saw some new animal series at Target (A poodle and rabbit?)

I don't keep up with Friends too much so I don't know if these are new so I apologize.

Yes, Series 2 Animals are out -- Bunny's Hutch, Poodle's Little Palace, and Hedgehog's Hideaway --

You can also take a *virtual* tour of Heartlake High, Pet Salon, Karate class, Downtown Bakery,

up in the Treehouse and Heartlake City Pool -- along with a surprise party
