Does not make it lame, but it just does NOT make it BEST battle pack ever.

simple as that...

I'd say it's not a 'real' battle pack when theres a main characther in it.

I have to say, I wasn't all that excited to hear about the LR sets. I thought it was going to be a standard fare licensing project, of which I tend to ignore. After receiving a promo email today from lego I took my 1st peek at the LR sets. After the initial set the email linked to (silver mine) I was pulled in, and reviewed the other sets on the site and almost all of them had me going "I need that!". This is not just from a "Lone Ranger" point of view but there are a lot of elements there that would go well with a plethora of mocs. They also put some thought into a nice broad price range, and didn't go overboard with a number of huge sets for big bucks. Well done TLG, you have my attention with this series.

They've roped another one in! Don't worry, the theme is a great one to be caught by, and I still own not a set!

I built the 4 smallest sets today. I really love this theme so far. My Stagecoach did not come with the extra brown hat or bandana. I've still got the silver mine to put together, but I think I will save it for later. I hope to get the train in the next couple of weeks. I was right on the edge of buying the train today, but I found the series 10 figures so I bought those.

I noticed that box art error also. They do seem to make a lot of mistakes. For a company this large and profitable, they should take better care about it.

I bought the whole line except for the Mine the other day. The Mine doesn't do much for me, the only appealing thing is the skull and the other Native American. But it isn't worth $70 for me to get that. I think I'll spend the $70 for May the Fourth promotion.

Actually, you have to spend $75+ on a Star Wars set, not $70!

I know. Instead of spending $70 on a set I don't like, I can put that $70 towards other SW sets I only kind of want, so then I can get the Han figure. By getting the Rancor Pit and the A-Wing, I will basically have the $75, so it works out.

You would have more than enough to get the figure. A nice $85. ;)

LEGO did make a mistake with their box art for 79108 Stagecoach Escape though.

The minifigure Barret is depicted incorrectly (in relation to the 1:1 mf picture on the side of the box and the mf's picture on the front) as Kyle, from set 79110 Silver Mine Shootout. The main image and the images on the back are correct. LEGO must have noticed this error before production as they included an extra brown hat and red bandana (but not a second rifle , even though shown on the box with the wrong image they used).

Interesting. My set (purchased at a LEGO store) did not come with the extra hat/bandana. It would seem that some sets slipped out the door before the mistake was caught.

Maybe the mistake was noticed after packaging production had started as you say, makes sense, and some sets did slip through. It would be interesting to hear what other members experience.

I don't know if the same set is packaged in different countries according to their distribution chanels (US (Mexico plant) vs Europe (Czech plant)), and if that could play a role.

Toys R Us had all the sets! Although, the markup was to much for me to warrant getting anything but the Army Builder set. Hopefully Target will get them soon!

I got the Stagecoach today at toysrus. The markup is unbelievable, but I used the 20% off coupon so it got rid of the markup. I'm happy about it. The set is amazing.

I too got the whole line but only had time to build the stagecoach. I was surprised that one bandanna was missing according to boxart image. My set did not include any extra bandana nor extra brown hat  Guess some of you were lucky

I'm also very pleased with this series, it's one of the best LEGO produced in ages!

I am kinda on the edge about that line though...

Army builder is okish, Comanchee Camps is garbage, Stagecoach escape is fabulous (but so overpriced in EU I will not buy it until heavily discounted), Colby showdown is average, Mine looks good and I am no fan of trains overall :P

Guess I just liked the classic Western/indian theme way more than this one

No one around here has the sets yet, so luckily I was a LEGO store last week to pick them up. I guess TRU did have them last night when I looked, but I agree the sale price on all of their sets is ridiculous, so I would have waited if I didn't already have them. They were running a BOGO40% promotion, but naturally LR was not on it since it is brand new.

I've only opened/built the Stagecoach set and I really like it. I'm even okay with the scale since I don't see any other way to make it lower unless you use smaller wheels.

The store in Frankfurt / GER has all the sets - and I was surprised about how small the boxes are! Except the Mine box, which is actually pretty big in comparison. And they have a nice layout of all the sets on display.

Someone said way earlier that the Mine's box was, "HUGE". so I think they're somewhat new to LEGO. I mean. have they seen Arkham Asylum's box?!?

That is true. I never really thought about it, but the boxes are significantly smaller than traditional. It's good to help reduce the environment waste and less air being packaged. Although some boxes that are huge are impressive to look at, but most sets don't require that.

True, and, more importantly, it gives LEGO more shelf space!

I got the Stagecoach and Cavarly builder set last night. AMAZING minifigures. I love the new guns, the figs, the white horse, dead crow.... they hooked another one in! Also, I was looking at the figs and found out you can switch the accessories. I gave Tonto a pretty hat and Red a dead crow!

I want to do that! In the meantime, got a pic of the messed-up headgear? I'd like to see Red's scared face with the crow on her head!

I think I am in the minority here. I was really excited about the stagecoach, and I picked it up along with the soldiers set and the teepee set recently. I so wanted these, but I was slightly disappointed after the builds. The size of the stagecoach just seems "off" and the plastic teepee just seems, well, just too "plasticky" (I know. It's LEGO, but... ). I guess I had my expectations too high because these were the first sets I almost regretted buying. Don't get me wrong. They are good sets. I guess I just let all the fanfare set my expectations too high. However, I really liked the set with the soldiers and went out to get a second, and I agree with the post above, the minifigures with these sets are great!

Managed to pick up the whole line, and in the end it has its ups and downs. Comanche Camp is definitely lacking, while sets like Colby City Showdown and the Cavalry builder end up somewhere in the middle of the road. Constitution train chase will please train fans but might not win over others due to its price tag. The Stagecoach, however, is an excellent value for money.

The standout of the line is undoubtedly Silver Mine Shootout. In fact, it's one of the best sets that Lego has released in years. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and an remarkably unique build, it's a great parts pack and has an incredible amount of play features. Every square inch of this set is packed with a function- kids played with it for hours. Honestly I can't recommend this set enough, I can't remember the last time I had so much fun building and playing with a set. This is the sleeper hit of 2013.

I got the Cavalry and Colby City from Amazon.de because I couldn't wait till July for them to be released in the UK. I'm really impressed with the figures, and the general Old West feel. Of corse Colby City could be much bigger, but for the price, I think they're great sets. And Silver makes a great Snowmane.
