refriedbeans Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I can't wait to see the other sets! And it appears I'm one of the few that liked POTC. Quote
Scout007 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I would have to agree with you. I kinda liked the POTC sets (minus the Black Pearl. That was just sad) and the Queen Anne's Revenge is a beautiful ship! Back on topic: While I'm not big on the train, that stagecoach is gorgeous! I will probably end up with multiples... Quote
Legonardo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 ill buy this if on sale for sure, thats jsut great! Quote
Only Sinner Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I'm grateful to have seen the pictures of my favorite sets of this theme so far. I just hope I can control myself from acting upon the urge to buy every one of the others. The train and the coach are already so nice, I kind of hope the rest are not as good. Quote
JamesBenjamin Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 http://www.toyark.com/news/toy-fair-59/toy-fair-2013-lego-lone-ranger-images-7232/ Detailed, up close pics of all the sets. Also: confirmation of prices, especially that sweet $30 for the stagecoach (with 3 horses and 5 minifigs!) Thanks to our friends at Toyark. Quote
Kez Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 That Colby city showdown looks like a steal for £40 (I'm definitely going to get it) Quote
Cammo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Oh boy, hopefully the movie is as good as PotC. Too bad I will not be able to get all the sets... Coach & Train it is then. Hopefully the European pricing will be reasonable. My guess for the Eu pricing: Cavalry: 16 EUR Comanche Camp 25-30 EUR Coach: 40 EUR Colby City: 50 EUR Silver Mine: 80 EUR Constitution Train: 100 EUR Quote

I'm mostly interested in the train set. Quote
Lance Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this yet, but the mine set can be connected to the train set, and it looks like the train can go through it. Quote
just2good Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) Has US pricing been confirmed? I'm mostly interested in the train set. These were all from the pictures by ToyArk. Each by smallest to biggest, too lazy for names: $13 $20 $30 $50 $70 $100 Edited February 10, 2013 by just2good Quote
Cammo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) The train can be connected to the set. It will look cool but I'm not sure that the train rides through the mine in the movie. Edited February 10, 2013 by Cammo Quote
Brickity Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I'm waiting for better pictures since Toyark's are more of an overall look. Quote

Faefrost Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 The more I look at this them, the more impressed and in love with it I become. And I'm not a huge western fan. But the figs are so wonderfully detailed, and yet have so many great civilian types. There is an Army building component with the cavalry. The sets themselves are perfectly detailed with some stunning color choices and usage. We've seen sparks of this sort of brilliance in recent licensed themes. Labor of love sets like Helms Deep, unexpected Gathering and such. But I think this really is the first time they have nailed an entire release wave that well. Please Lego, more stuff like this! (Not just the theme, but the level of detail, quality and fun). Quote
Nagyzee Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 According to the Toy Fair pictures and the earlier German catalog scans: Cavalry is 13 USD vs. 15 EUR Comanche Camp is 20 USD vs. 30 EUR Coach is 30 USD vs. 50 EUR Colby City is 50 USD vs 60 EUR Silver Mine is 70 USD vs 80 EUR Train is 100 USD vs 100 EUR Does someone understand the pricing? It is really confusing. Only the Train set conforms to the usual 1 USD = 1 EUR pricing, the rest are even worse, the worst offenders being the Comanche Camp and the Coach. Those latter two price differences are insane. The European price for the Coach is more than double of the US one. I'm not one to usually rant about prices, I do understand the differences that cause TLG to usually calculate retail prices at 1 USD = 1 EUR (main reasons being VAT and economies of scale) but these are unexplainable. xtremegoogler Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Anynone else notice the ridiculous size of the boxes? Especially the mine, you could fit a modular buidling in that massive box. Couple of years ago Lego promised they would care about the environment and all. Guess not. Quote
Flea Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I really hope Coach will be 40€. 50 is waaay over-prized Quote
Orange Leader Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) The $ and € comparisson is indeed an odd one. However, $19,95 sets in the USA are always about €26,95 here in Europe at retail. If the Coach (a must have for me) is €49,95 and IMO very expensive compared to the amount of parts It will have, I'll skip It. For me, It's that simple. With that said, I'm waiting for this cool theme to hit the shelves in EU and see the prices for my self. :) Edited February 10, 2013 by Orange Leader Quote
deskp Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Dunno if you hda confirmation on this already, but Tonto(?)s bird is detachable. In the pictures of the train set you can see its put on all crooked. And its not on the box art so tia not a new mold. Quote

Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Dunno if you hda confirmation on this already, but Tonto(?)s bird is detachable. In the pictures of the train set you can see its put on all crooked. And its not on the box art so tia not a new mold. This is very interesting to hear. I'm not sure how such a thing would be useful, but you never know. As for this theme, it is absolutely stunning ! The attention to detail in a lot of places is superb. The sets are also brilliant, especially the train and the stagecoach. The only set that I completely dislike is the mine, which still looks like a random jumble of bricks to me Quite frankly, accurate or not, I will probably never find a jumble of bricks like that appealing. It wouldn't look good with the rest of my sets at all. Bring on this theme's UK release, whenever that is! Quote
Ridge Montante Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 The Stagecoach is a for sure buy. $30, can't beat that. I do want the mine, train and colby city showdown but I'll have to wait and see. But most likely end up getting them. Quote
refriedbeans Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 These are great! The only set I'm not crazy about in the Indian camp but I will still get it! I really hope the movie is as good as PoP and PotC. I can't wait to see the back of the mine! Quote
baron Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I wish I could replace the fleshie heads with some yellow but putting that aside it's a great collection! Quote
kermit Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I hate that the lone ranger is in the calvary set because it means if you buy multiples to build an army you will end up with multiples of him. Since he is in practically every set, lego could of left him out of this one. Quote
