These sets look so good. I wasn't going to buy them, but there is no doubt I will, now. I wish the Marvel super hero stuff, aside from the minifigs, looked even half as nice. Great pricing on these too, imo.

These all look great, nice to see the train comes with track as that is always useful. I think the Silver Mine and Stagecoach are the best sets, but since I need the Lone Ranger's horse Silver, the smallest set is a good buy as well.

These sets look fantastic. I will without a doubt acquire them all. However, am I the only one bothered of having the sheriff in all these sets and the Indian in all but one? These minifigs look terrific tough.

Upon closer inspection, the sets are even more beautiful than expected. I like how the crow/hat are removable so we can use them elsewhere. That was unexpected. The torsos overall are great. I love the printing and I love how most can be used in other themes or settings. I've been trying to build my modulars more early 1900s, so some of these torsos would be great.

Why the heck does it have a copyright for DC Comics on the bottom? Is it from a magazine?

Now that's an oddity eh ? :look:

DC Comics belong to TimeWarner.....why is that on a Disney poster ?

Could it be a typo ? :look:

More worryingly, the DC bit looks to be in reference to the copyright over the word LEGO. The Lone Ranger/Disney stuff is separate, below.

Maybe there'll be a comic book for the film Lego-ised eh ?

Now here's an interesting question.....might we see a Diagon Alley or Black Pearl style exclusive later in the year ? :look:

TLC is coming up with the set Colby City Showdown which has Diagon Alley style buildings, Constitution Train Chase is somewhat akin to The Black Pearl. So it might be interesting to see what TLC has up its sleeves if an exclusive were to happen. :look:

The minifigures in this theme are lovely. Looking at the FBTB pics I gleaned this list of characters from the boxes:

79106 Cavalry Builder Set:

**Navarro Rifleman #1 (grim face with stubble)

**Navarro Rifleman #2 (ginger beard and smile)

**Navarro Rifleman #3 (Smirking mouth and frown)

Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face)

Silver

79107 Comanche Camp:

Red Knee (buffalo headdress)

Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face)

Tonto (clean outfit, panicked face)

79108 Stagecoach Escape:

Red Harrington (big hair, little hat)

Jesus (red bandana)

Barret (black Stetson)

Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face)

Tonto (clean outfit, panicked face)

Silver

79109 Colby City Showdown:

Frank (brown torso and black Stetson)

Ray (grey Derby hat)

Dan Reid (grey torso with marshall’s star)

Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face)

Tonto (clean outfit, amused face)

79110 Silver mine shootout:

Butch Cavendish (black torso and hat with hair attached)

Kyle (grey torso red bandana)

Chief Big Bear (grey hair)

Lone Ranger (dusty outfit, grimace face)

Tonto (dusty outfit, annoyed face)

79111 Constitution train chase:

Butch Cavendish (black torso and hat with hair attached)

Latham Cole (black derby hat)

Rebecca Reid

Danny Reid (surfer hair and short legs)

Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face)

Tonto (clean outfit, amused face)

Silver

Tonto has three faces. Probably a dual faced head and a single faced one.

Lone Ranger has two faces both single faced. (naturally, as he's wearing a hat with no hair attached)

**The Navarro Rifleman were a unit of cavalry in Texas during the American civil war. One of the actors in the movie has been reported as playing a character referred to as 'Navarro'. Therefore I'm assuming the cavalry we see are a representation of the Navarro Riflemen. Thus I've named the minifigures so in order to give them an identifier.

Well, I know what my "Gotta catch 'em all" theme is this year. That train is gorgeous, the stagecoach is a steal at only $30, even the cavalry set is a must buy, though it seems we'll be having a lot of Tontos and Lone Rangers to spare, as is typical with these themes, but at least some of them have alternate expressions (One of the Lone Rangers I thought I saw had a smirk or a grimace).

I have to say, though, my favorite minifig so far is the woman in the stagecoach set. I'm not sure what her name is (If anyone knows, please tell me), but the printing is beautiful and her hairpiece is great (And even the little hat's removable).

I also thought I saw their outfits were dustier in the Mine set than the standard issue? So at least one variation of the torso/face and stuff. That is nice, although not super noticeable. Unless I am mistaken. I'm only going off of memory here.

Hmmm...after taking a closer look I'll probably only pick up Colby City Showdown. I like the variety of torsos in that set the best (the sheriff's is awesome) and I only want a few generic cowboys to be honest - not a ton of identical but distinctive Lone Rangers and Tontos. Maybe a Cavalry set as well. I doubt I'll get to see the film until long after the sets have left the shelves so it's unlikely I'll be picking up anything on the basis of a deep and abiding love for a particular movie sequence.

What a wonderful range this has turned out to be. I was expecting another POTC - good for a few torsos and fleshie heads to add a bit of variety to Gotham or Middle-Earth - and instead we get an inspired take on the Old West in tiny plastic bricks.

Only the demands of space and the risk of marital disharmony will prevent me buying every single one of these sets, so I think I'll have to settle for Colby City and the Stage, and maybe the cavalry troopers so I can finally give Theoden a horse that looks like Snowmane. I can then quietly browse BL and create by stealth a little supporting cast of townsfolk in the same way I've managed to with Gotham. Instead of business types, mobsters, conmen and cops, I can get shop keepers, snake oil salesmen and bartenders. Just need to work out the best way of creating Al Swearengen and Gus McCrae. I can't wait.
