The_Creator Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Great review! I guess we'll start seeing these next week, which is the same time we started seeing the PotC and PoP sets... Since I have a bit extra money this month, I'll try to pick up the first four and maybe the Mine set! Thank the lord these are the only April set releases! I'll probably buy a couple 79106s and a 79107 as soon as they come out, but wait for the rest since I'm way behind on sets I need to get, and I hate buying discontinued sets, with the prices they start going for after discontinuation. Cammo Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 That set does look promising. Too bad I don't have space left in my Detolf cabinets... I now finally know what the reference is in Jim Carrey's Bruce Almighty: Hi-Yo Silver, Away! (start 0:20) Quote

The_Creator Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Is someone suppose to be juggling scorpions on that box art while Lone Ranger shoots them like clay pigeons…? EDIT: I see, there bounce-out-of-wells-scorpions-who-then-get-shot-at-by-Lone-Ranger. Edited March 19, 2013 by The_Creator Quote
just2good Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Everyone, go check your local Toys"R"Us stores! Some guy in California listed the sets on eBay! Quote

Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Are these coming out in the UK in April like they are in the rest of the world, or will we have to wait until a later date for these stunning sets? I'm only wondering because, when the London Toy Fair happened, some of the people who reported on it (can't remember who exactly) stated that The Lone Ranger sets weren't coming to the UK until the Summer, which would be highly disappointing if true when you consider that everyone else is going to be able to get these sets in April. Captain Settle Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Well USA got the space theme galaxy squad around January, but we have to wait till summer. Quote
Garmadon Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 It seems like the first half of the Brickset review of the Silvermine Shootout is posted here. Just the Minifigs, though. Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Not sure I'm a huge fan of the general overcoat printed on legs thing, as it means that that pair of legs can only go with a few torsos. But then it does look good with the specified torso - so I guess it's a bit of a trade-off. Quote

Murdoch17 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I wonder if that light bluish gray suit (used by Kyle) would work for a Confederate Soldier. Just pop on some light bluish gray pants, a dark bluish gray Kepi cap (like the Union soliders wear), or even an older Light Gray cowboy hat / this one ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3629px2 ) with the star on it, for people of higher rank, and there you go! Meh, doesn't seem to Confederateish to me. But maybe on gunmen or a commaner. Quote
The_Creator Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) 79110 Silver Mine Shootout, part 2 of the review is up on Brickset! I must say, this is a must have set for me. Also, great piece selection by the looks of it. Edited March 20, 2013 by The_Creator Quote
Kez Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Huw on brickset said to me that he'd hopefully be reviewing this set tomorrow (Colby city showdown) http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0094J58ZK?ie=UTF8&tag=amazon0f28-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=1638&creativeASIN=B0094J58ZK Quote

Speedboat Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I can't wait to get my hands on the Silver Mine Shootout set! Seems like you get an awesome selection of tan and grey pieces. Too bad I'll have to wait until May to buy it here in Germany. Quote

305Bats Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Must. Go. To. TRU. ASAP! But what scares ne is TRUs usual new theme mark-up on sets… TRU marks up ALL Lego, not just the new themes! Quote

When do you guys think Target and Kmart will be getting them in-store? TRU marks up ALL Lego, not just the new themes! Actually my TRU has GS sets all at MSRP. And used to have CMF at $2.50. But new sets are usually marked up by 35%, especially new licensed sets. Edited March 21, 2013 by The_Creator Quote

The_Creator Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Bank seems pretty bland to me, but I like the Sheriffs office, besides the fact that there's no floor… At a cheap 8.5 cents a pieces, $50, seems like a good deal! And, YES! I don't have to buy Santa for the sack. Quote
just2good Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I love these reviews, 'Huw'! Personally, I love how the two buildings' exterior look. The sheriff building looks great inside, but the bank is a bit to crammed inside. It reminds me of the London Escape set's building's interior, which was another $50 Disney set. Quote
TeufelHund Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I kind of like the non-Lone Ranger/Tonto minifigs in Colby City Showdown the best but I have to admit that the Mine set definitely seems to have the best selection of pieces for MOCing. Quote
