I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but, would LEGO Exclusives like 40052 Springtime Scene and 40054 Summer Scene be available at LEGO Stores?

Yes, at least at some of them. I picked up the spring set at the Mall of America store last month.

I don't know, I don't think Creator sets in general have had any consistent decline in quality. I'm quite fond of this year's sets, and I'd say 31012 Family House is definitely at least as good as the Apple Tree House; perhaps even better in some respects since it has a furnished interior. I was also fond of last year's Seaside House and the previous year's Hillside House. They might not suit everyone's particular tastes but they each have their own unique character with a substantial level of detail and very clever B and C models.

I don't mean this as an insult to the older Creator houses — I never owned them, but built a number of them on LDD, and I truly admire some of them such as the Apple Tree House and Model Town House. But despite some changes in design considerations for the more recent houses, I think they still manage to measure up to the old ones, at least as much as they can at their particular price points.

Yeha maybe I am just getting old lol

After seeing a few of these in shops again I just can't help but get the 80s Transformers vibe from a lot of the vehicles. That robot (not that I've seen that one for sale anywhere though) doesn't half contribute... he's like Sunstreaker in Constructicon green.

Of all the maps TLG makes, they had to go and pick the way-overused Indiana Jones map tile :(

That said, if I can get a deal on this (and on the larger house) that is as good as the deal I got on last years Seaside House, I may well pick this up for parts alone.

Oh wow. This might be the best Creator house I've ever seen. Thanks for the pictures! Looking forward to seeing the alternate builds up close.

Thanks for the hi-res pics GRogall! Can't wait for the release lovely modern house set! :sweet:

I don't know it this has been mentioned already but the fact that the family in this Family House has no kid means this is intended to be paired up with the Treehouse set with the kid.

And I just noticed now, both sets curiously have one walkie-talkie each:

Mom: "Son, go down from the treehouse now it's time to eat lunch."

Kid: "Roger Mom!"

Mom: "And tell your dad to go too."

Dad: "Yes dear..."

Very clever marketing strategy TLG.:thumbup:

Thanks for hi-res pictures, Grogall. This Family House is one of the few I really liked from the begining, and I was very curious to see the insides. The lamp design is still intriguing me.

KielDaMan, you definitely now how to advertises. After your comment, I'm already thinking of getting the tree house as well, just to pair them up.

Thanks, Grogall. I'm really looking forward to this house. All those yummy 2x3 windows in tan!! I expect it will be a big hit with my daughter as well for the play features.

Nice! TLG heard our cry and brought back larger house sets. I was afraid they'd be going small from here on. The new "Family House" is a definite buy for me. It looks like a very fun build.

Lovely looking set, I was already planning on picking this up, but these pictures further prove that this is a must buy!

I like the little car too; something very old school 90's LEGO Town about it. I think it's the smaller scale and those little wheels.

I think KielDaMan's right, these sets were designed to go together. Both also use tan window/door frames, which is awesome but not very common in LEGO sets recently. It makes you wonder if they were originally designed as one set, or as two sets with the intention of them going together.
