May 28, 201311 yr I would really like a part that was just one side of this with the pins spaced one old studded technic beam height apart. then another version 2 beam heights apart.... Years and years to late for this request... If it existed I would buy 100 tomorrow!
May 28, 201311 yr I am unsure if this is the right place to post this, but I think Lego should make a reinforced "Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular" (part 6536). Has anyone ever had the problem of these pieces breaking along the axle hole after a few uses? I know that these pieces have been around for at least a decade and I can't seem to find anyone with this issue.
June 8, 201311 yr Apart from; longer pneumatic cylinders (like the long old one or even longer), a new micro motor, and a PF pneumatic valve, there is one part I very much would like TLG to make. An axle universal joint. This would be very useful for making compact independent suspensions and a hole lot of other applications... It would be even better if TLG would reinforce it a bit as well. It could even be combined with 3l Universal joints to make this... I will try to make one my self by cutting and gluing just to prove it's versatility. June 8, 201311 yr I built this 3 cylinder Solenoid engine That made use of this part right here along with three 1x2 thin liftarms. To basically make a Axle connector that can make true 120 degree offset crank throws. The crankshaft was the actual concept design for this Unique Axle Formation. So this is why I think this a very good example of where concept = new Technic part.. oh look there it is.

Well, I actually didn't so much draw it as cut and past with Paint... I simply took the axle part of a CV coupling and a U-joint from LDD and cut and pasted it. Simple is often the best. It was 5 minutes work, and I bet you could do it as well. But anyway, thanks! PS: I think this would be very useful together with a CV joint in suspension systems on steered wheels. -ED-

Nor do the wheels even have offsets in the first place. Back on topic, I'd like updated gear rack pieces, with half pin holes on the bottom, 3x11 panels, more clutch gears, new steering brackets, some of the parts Efferman mentioned, and some RF control units. This is only a very small sampler, I have lots of these ideas.

There'd be 2 possible ways of dong this; either offsetting it 60 degrees clockwise or 60 degrees anticlockwise, or in other words, a right handed and left handed version. Would yo propose producing both, or just one?
June 9, 201311 yr I think there should be an axle u-joint with a 2l end and a 1.5l end so you could have 5l suspension arms :P That would make it 5l right? I didn't do the measurements.

If you combine one with a 1,5 l arm with a CV joint it would make the distanve between the joints 4 l . That makes for 4 l suspension arms I have to mod my own idea (is MOI a term we should use?) to a axle U-joint with one 1,5 l axle and one 3 l axle. That would make it a lot more flexible, and make sure it could be used with the CV joint. -ED-

You can try that yourself with an axle and two different-colored 1 x 2 liftarms (say blue and red). Mount them with 90 degree offset. Then, hold the blue one in your hand and look where the red one is pointing. Then, take the red one in your hand in the same position and observe how the handedness has not changed. Anyway, a part like this would have way too few uses. The one use you mention is already solvable using the technique shown. So the part would not create new options. Also there would be too much confusion with the existing axle joiner. Bad idea. I'd rather see a new part that can be used in countless ways. The beams mentioned by TasV are a good example. Also I'd still like to see a 28t bevel, a 28t double-bevel and a 32t regular gear.

You don't really need two 20 tooth gears in most cases as they don't counter rotate. What about these parts? I don't think they exist already but correct me if i'm wrong The 2L axle with pin you designed has something very similar to it, but it doesn't snap in like a pin would: Just take the flex hose off. August 7, 201311 yr I was thinking on a 45° technic pin. like this one. Than you could connect plates on 45°. You've never bent any pins before?
