Mr Man Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Absolutely great, a great counterpart to the Fury. Though I never understood why the game had a Shuttle (Fury), Corvette (Defender), Escort (Thunder Clap), Transport (Mantis) all as equivalent ships . Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Excellent build! The similarity between it and your source material is impressive Quote
DFOL Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Absolutely great, a great counterpart to the Fury. Though I never understood why the game had a Shuttle (Fury), Corvette (Defender), Escort (Thunder Clap), Transport (Mantis) all as equivalent ships . Huh? Since when did the Fury become a shuttle? According to the SW:TOR website and Wookieepedia the Fury is a multi-purpose warship/transport. The Thunderclap is classified as an assault ship on both websites, and the Mantis is described as a patrol/picket ship. That makes them all more or less equivalent, though i admit that if game mechanics hadn't been involved these ships probably would have differed a lot more in their role, characteristics and performance. Masked Builder Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Excellent job! The color scheme is nice, and it's even better that you built it out of real bricks. Very definitely one of my favorite good-guy ships. Quote

Just going by the size of the Fury it's definitely too small to be warship. The actual definition of the ships is irrelevant. Most of them are small Falcon sized ships, supposedly equivalent to the Corvette sized Defender. Quote

Very deffinetly one of my favorite good-guy ships. Oh Wow! Thanks! I really appreciate it. I have been really overwhelmed by all the positive feedback I have received. Cheers and Thank you all! Quote
drdesignz Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 You made it in the top ten most supported projects last week. Congrats! Quote
glenbricker Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 You made it in the top ten most supported projects last week. Congrats! Thanks, It was a near thing! But I owe it in large part to the all the people of Eurobricks. Thank you so much! Quote
Taiphun Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Awesome rendition. Crews at least 8, having played the game you get 5 companions, your shipboard droid, yourself, and an astromech. There's talk of a hunter killer droid joining your party but I haven't played since April. Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 This looks very accurate to the original! Definitely has a "real set" look to it. I love the shaping and little details throughout. Quote

steelwoolghandi Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Very cool ship I have watched this build with so much interest and that ship never ceases to amaze me! Just Beautiful work Glen! Glad you found your way to Eurobricks!!! Quote
Brickmamba Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Very nice rendition, maybe could have been a lil more sleeker? Qyzen Fess looks great and can almost pass as an official figure Quote
Brinstar Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I think this is an absolutely wonderful design. I'm usually quite particular about which projects I support on Cuusoo, but I had no hesitation in voting for this. I really enjoyed the Fury class Interceptor model released earlier this summer and this would make an ideal companion set. What I like so much about this is not only how well you have recreated the Corellian Defender but how much it actually looks like a Lego set. Unlike many Cuusoo projects I think this could be turned into a set with little difficulty. I will be keeping an eye on this and sincerely hope you get to 10,000 votes. Quote

glenbricker Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Very nice rendition, maybe could have been a lil more sleeker? Qyzen Fess looks great and can almost pass as an official figure You are totally right about the "sleekness" of the build. The sleekness is one of the factors I sacrificed to allow for greater accuracy in other aspects of the build. It was very hard to give up on. The curvature of the front was an aspect I worked on several times, and that really defined the minimum "height" of the ship. That being said. I used profiles designs of the defender and the overall dimensions of the ship are very accurate. Of course, this is a fictional model so some presentation of it appear even thinner and longer than others. In the long run, Fitting the minifigs demands the wider build so I consider it rather serendipitous that it turned out this way. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Fantastic achievement of this ship. You did an amazing job, the color scheme is perfect, you really have great skills! Quote
coolguy2323 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Wow nice work! I really hope LEGO makes one of these seeing as how this is the ship I used most often so far in the game (have a level 50 Knight and level 22 Consular). Quote

I would be very appreciative if you could mention the project in the official SWTOR forums. I don't have an account (my computer is not good enough for the game) so I can't post there. Cheers! Quote
-sigma- Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=282127&page=3 It's been posted in a topic about the SWTOR Lego sets, I also believe a different site about SWTOR also made an article about it. As to your ship, I raise you this. Quote

iPodwithnomusic Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 That looks amazing! I wish they released that alongside the Fury instead of the Striker-class starfighter. Quote
brandontuit Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Would there be a chance to get a list of the peices you used to make this? Id absolutely love to have one of these to combat my Fury :D Quote
