September 24, 201212 yr Author I found these hoses instead: http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk/webcat/Detprod.asp?ProductCode=S08000105∏= this stuff might work better. the tube i bought got here and it is not rigid. it is very soft and very bendable. it's not going to work the way i wanted it to. bob

September 25, 201212 yr I ordered one too last week so I'm just waiting I went for Black, you? if you got blue we could maybe exchange a bit of each?
September 25, 201212 yr I went for Black, you? if you got blue we could maybe exchange a bit of each? Nope, I've got black too
September 25, 201212 yr Also note that for full compatibility (eg. fixing in clips), the tube should have an external diameter of 3.2mm, not 3.0mm
September 25, 201212 yr Also note that for full compatibility (eg. fixing in clips), the tube should have an external diameter of 3.2mm, not 3.0mm .2 mm? That's so little that I wouldn't even notice it! Besides, I'm gonna put in inside a thousand of 1/4 pins so I don't care about that small fact. Still nice to know though....
September 25, 201212 yr Author Also note that for full compatibility (eg. fixing in clips), the tube should have an external diameter of 3.2mm, not 3.0mm The 3.0mm OD i got held just fine in clips. even though it was softer. bob
September 26, 201212 yr Mine arrived, it does not hold all that well and its clear not black. Oh well keep looking
September 26, 201212 yr Mine arrived, it does not hold all that well and its clear not black. Oh well keep looking It's clear? Oh well, It's not like I can't build a track just because of that
September 27, 201212 yr It's clear? Oh well, It's not like I can't build a track just because of that Looks like we have the same idea, I do a bit the GBC and wanted to build a track still as you say it will be ok.
September 27, 201212 yr I think PFTE tubing is going to work better than vinyl tubing. you have to search for 1/8" OD (outer diameter), which is 3.2mm. maybe some sort of Teflon PFTE tubing like this one: http://www.store.cle...lon-Tubing.html or something like this: http://www.coleparme...ack/EW-06605-27 I do think it's important to have a thick wall and the ID (inner diameter) be as small as possible. September 27, 201212 yr Looks like we have the same idea, I do a bit the GBC and wanted to build a track still as you say it will be ok. I'm not planning on building a track for GBC but something very different. I think PFTE tubing is going to work better than vinyl tubing. you have to search for 1/8" OD (outer diameter), which is 3.2mm. maybe some sort of Teflon PFTE tubing like this one: http://www.store.cle...lon-Tubing.html or something like this: http://www.coleparme...ack/EW-06605-27 I do think it's important to have a thick wall and the ID (inner diameter) be as small as possible. The bend-ability on the hoses ordered is really great, just like the LEGO hoses. But you are right, 3.2mm is better since this hose is sliding inside the pins. I don't mind that though, it's still perfect for my purpose. The last tubing you linked to is really expensive so that's a no-go. I have no idea what material to look for so you could easily fool me.
September 2, 20168 yr ...have similar hoses to your requirements Becoming a member just to bump a four year old topic, to do promotion, is against site guidelines in multiple ways.
