October 30, 201212 yr Author Think I might have read the story, not sure, I've read so many stories it's hard to keep them straight Very nice landscaping I'm looking forward to seeing the inside of the cave Thanks! I wont keep you waiting too long, I already finished most of the build.
October 30, 201212 yr The Town Musicians of Bremen. It's an old fairy tale and quite unknown outside of Germany. But it has always been one of my favorites. It's about about working together to reach a common goal. Is it really that unknown? I come from the Southwestern United States, and it's actually fairly well known here. Did a play on it in first grade, actually.
October 30, 201212 yr Author Is it really that unknown? I come from the Southwestern United States, and it's actually fairly well known here. Did a play on it in first grade, actually. Oh well Ithought it was quite unknown... Appears I might be mistaken!
October 31, 201212 yr Wow, those MOCs are excellent, and I love the turn the story is taking. I can't wait to see what's next! Yeah I've heard of that story too.
November 1, 201212 yr Author Chapter 10 The mines are dark, really dark. And dwarfs are scary, with their pick axes and shovels. It’s hard to see where you are going. Suddenly we see a bright light. It’s coming from the crystal disguised as a tiny candle. It's burning bright enough to illuminate the entire work space of the dwarfs. I grabbed the crystal and we ran as fast as we could. Leaving the dwarfs in complete darkness. Too bad we didn't know that dwarfs have excellent night vision… Six of them jumped in mine carts and had a seventh dwarf push them towards us! They were actually gaining in on us until Alice threw away the peel of her banana. The carts rolled over the peel without effort. Luckily the dwarf pushing the carts slipped on it and we managed to escape. I'd like to introduce you all to the 7 dwarfs: Edited November 1, 201212 yr by badboytje88
November 1, 201212 yr I love it how Alice is in the air while they run , an excellent effect. Can't wait for more!
November 1, 201212 yr Author Wow, those MOCs are excellent, and I love the turn the story is taking. I can't wait to see what's next! Yeah I've heard of that story too. Okay, that was the funniest installment yet! Glad you liked it! Originally I didn't have the carts and the banana in my story but it was too hard to make 8 characters with non movable legs look like they were running so I came up with the mining carts and the banana followed after that. I love it how Alice is in the air while they run , an excellent effect. Can't wait for more! Thanks glad you like it! This last chapter was a awful to photograph. Must be because of the dark colors.
November 1, 201212 yr Author Great new chapter Superb fig posing and the dwarf figs are great Thanks! Glad you like them. For most of the characters I instantly knew what I wanted them to look like. The dwarfs are most likely the characters I assembled, took apart and reassembled the most. I wanted each one of them to have a personality quirk which would reflect their names.
November 2, 201212 yr Author Another excellent chapter! Love your interpretation of the dwarves. Those are some twisted dwarves. Thanks! Each one of the dwarfs represents one of the seven deadly sins: Greedy - Greed Toury - Envy (a bit a stretch, but what the heck) Doc - Wrath Clumsy - Sloth Druggy - Lust Chef - Gluttony Draggy - Pride Edited November 2, 201212 yr by badboytje88
November 5, 201212 yr Author I see it now that you describe it - that's pretty cool. great MOC's! Thanks!
November 6, 201212 yr Oh well Ithought it was quite unknown... Appears I might be mistaken! Hahaha, don't be so sure. We're a bizarre mix of backwoods and modern where I live. These really are fantastic. I really like how you manage to arrange the minifigures on all of these creations.
November 10, 201212 yr Author Chapter 11 Apprentice used some kind of Hocus Pocus to temporarily blind the dwarfs so they couldn’t follow us. Since we nearly got caught Pinocchio suggested to lay low for a while. So we are not travelling by road. We shall travel the forest to our next destination. My godmothers raised me in the forest, so I know this place by heart! Suddenly Alice stops and points at a shimmering between the bushes. She found an old oil lamp on the ground. Apprentice nearly had a nervous breakdown when Alice wanted to rub the dirt of the lamp. She snatched away the lamp claiming that where she comes from, such lamps contain magic... Any guesses on the Apprentices true identity?
November 11, 201212 yr Author Nice new scene, especially the trees and Apprentice's posing Thanks! Figs with slope dresses can be a pain to pose realistically That scene is lovely, lovin' those trees. No I have no idea who it is. Ah come on, try a bit harder MB! You have to recall at least one fairy tale about a magic lamp
November 11, 201212 yr Thanks! Adding the vines was a last minute decision, but I'm glad I did it! They look great, and are integral to the original story. In that they should be rose vines, and I believe the Aurora character is more classically known as Briar Rose?
November 11, 201212 yr Author They look great, and are integral to the original story. In that they should be rose vines, and I believe the Aurora character is more classically known as Briar Rose? In the original Grimm story the princess is named Briar Rose. In the Disney version they named her Aurora, when she goes into hiding with her Fairy Godmothers they rename her to Briar Rose. I chose Aurora cause it goes along nicely with Alice.
November 11, 201212 yr Is the sorceress Jasmin? It all looks really good, love it all, keep up the good work?
