Piranha Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I know this is probably old news but >:-( I hate that lego took out most of the Riddlers hideout The printing press looked very interesting and would have been a sweet addition to an already awesome set *n* I shall now quote Hinckley "BOO!!BOO!!!BOO Lego!!!" Now all it is a ugly gate with some money and a dirtbike( 8- Quote
Brainbox Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I would have prefered Lego to raise the Price to $69.99USD I wouldn't, because then it'd cost even more in the UK. At the moment, Quote
Steff Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 No new sets, but the new 2007 catalog from germany Quote
Brainbox Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 (edited) The new Argos catalogue came out today, and I was surprised to find a distinct lack of Batman. So, either I wait till I can get to Preston to look in TRU, or I go ahead and order them from S@H now acting on the assumption that I won't want/need to buy anything else first. Decisions, decisions, decisions... Edited July 28, 2007 by Brainbox Quote
john cleese Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Any news about Batman 2008 Sets? i heard news of a bat plane (different from batwing) somewhere on this forum. Quote
Brainbox Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 i heard news of a bat plane (different from batwing) somewhere on this forum. If it's a Batplane it should have room for passengers. The Batwing is always (or at least should be) a single-seat plane, the Batplane is generally larger. Quote
Batbrick Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 When comes this set? _____________________ Well we don't even know if its real. But I guess that the new batman sets will come out midway through next year Quote
Brainbox Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Well we don't even know if its real. But I guess that the new batman sets will come out midway through next year The game's apparantly coming out in Summer, so yeah, summer releases for sets would probably be a safe bet. And of course, the game means more new characters (Harley, green Ivy, Jim Gordon, etc) might make their way into brick-form. Quote
Batbrick Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Yeah, I'm just wondering if it will be a measly two sets again or a proper line. I also wonder if they would ever make some lesser known villains like Clayface, Mad Hatter and Manbat. Ra's Al Ghul is a must too. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
iamded Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Manbat... isn't he like a giant bat thing? From the 'The Batman' cartoon? I'm just waiting for another small set with something other than a weird dragster and purple bike. :-X Anything to get a Batman minifig, and a villain, I don't care which. (Other than magnet sets and key chains, that is.) Quote
Shadows Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Mad Hatter wouldn't be bad, and an easy parts build from mostly existing material for them. I figure the two sets this year are just to say, "yes, we're still making them" and hold people over until the new game comes out. Bet on sets to coincide with that release, hopefully something new and not just rehashed out of larger sets. I DO NOT want to see Mr. Freeze, Penguin, or Poison Ivy, the way we're getting Riddler and Scarecrow repackaged from Arkham. Quote
Steff Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 now we have got pics of the new star wars lego, but no batman news 2008 :-( :-( Quote
Brainbox Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Manbat... isn't he like a giant bat thing? From the 'The Batman' cartoon? Yes, but he's been in a lot more than just The Batman. His real name is Kirk Langstrom, and while experimenting with a Bat serum to cure deafness. He tests it on himself (as you do), and mutates into Man-Bat. Here's some more info. I DO NOT want to see Mr. Freeze, Penguin, or Poison Ivy, the way we're getting Riddler and Scarecrow repackaged from Arkham. Although bear in mind that we got Riddler and Scarecrow again to give them vehicles, which they didn't have in Arkham. We've already got a submarine for Penguin, so we probably won't see him again, but Ivy and Freeze are possibilities. But like I've said, you could get around it by giving Ivy green skin. now we have got pics of the new star wars lego, but no batman news 2008 :-( :-( Hopefully, we'll hear something soon. But if the sets are out in Summer it may be a few months yet. And we've got the game box cover in the meantime. Ra's Al Ghul is a must too. Especially with his... Spoiler Upcoming resurrection. Quote

Brainbox Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 We don't know for sure that he will be back, but I do hope. No, but judging by the new cross-comic story arc, The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul, I think there's quite a good chance. This year I really want there to be atleast four sets out, with Gordon and Harley Quinn among the new minifigs. Gordon is an absolute, unequivocal must. I heard a while ago (around about last years first wave release, I think) that they were holding Gordon back until they could work out the best way to do his signature trenchcoat. Then again, that was a year ago, so that may not be the case anymore. Quote

I thought you were talking about the movies! :-$ No, you meant the comics in which he was stabbed by his daughter right? Yeah, I heard that news about Gordon too, the trenchcoat will be great! *sweet* Up and Atom! :-) Quote
Brainbox Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Whoops! I thought you were talking about the movies! :-$ No, you meant the comics in which he was stabbed by his daughter right? Oh, sorry, I assumed you knew what I meant. Yeah, his newly-revealed daughter Nyssa killed and resurrected his known daughter Talia repeatedly, driving her mad. Nyssa then goaded Talia into killing Ra's, little realising that Ra's was grooming Nyssa to kill him and inherit his criminal empire anyway. Nyssa retained control of the last Lazarus Pit somewhere in the Balkans (save for the oft-rumoured one hidden in the Batcave). We've not really heard much from her since, but Talia's showed up with Damian, Batman's purported son. It's likely he'll have some sort of role or part to play in the upcoming resurrection. Yeah, I heard that news about Gordon too, the trenchcoat will be great! *sweet* And of course the new bag/pouch from the Indy line increases the chances of getting a proper, full-on trenchcoat. *wub* Quote
Batbrick Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Yes Nyssa, thats her name, I couldn't remember it. TLC HAS to make Ra's Al Ghul, and Talia too! :'-) I am currently wondering how many if any Batman sets will be released in 08. Do you reckon it will just pull out another two? Or is there a possibility of four or even five sets? The pouch for Indy is great isn't it! It does give me a lot of hope for a good trenchcoat! :'-) Up and Atom! :-) Quote
Brainbox Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Do you reckon it will just pull out another two? Or is there a possibility of four or even five sets? Four or five would certainly be nice. I think we might, as this could've been a sort of middle year, as the designers come up with new figs/molds/vehicles, which is why we got one new fig (a fairly simple fig at that) and one fig in a new colour. By next summer, they'll have had time. Perhaps that means we'll see a few more 'unique' figs- Man-bat, Gordon, etc. But I'd still settle for two, if they were two really good sets with lots of nice figs. Quote
Batbrick Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) But I'd still settle for two, if they were two really good sets with lots of nice figs. Yeah, I would be happy with that too :-) As long as Gordon is present! :-D I'd prefer five though 8-| ...... Up and Atom! :-) Edited September 26, 2007 by Batbrick Quote
jedikermit Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I'm hoping for more Bat-sets this summer too...with the Batman LEGO game coming out, and The Dark Knight in theatres, if LEGO still has the license, I hope they use it. Characters I'd like to see: Commissioner Gordon Any version of Batgirl Man-Bat Harley Quinn Ra's Al Ghul Clayface Vehicles I'd like to see: Tumbler (Movie Batmobile) A Convertible for Harley Quinn Jokermobile Buildings I'd like to see: Police HQ with rooftop Batsignal Wayne Manor A proper Villain Hideout of some kind, with lots of Booby Traps to take out the good guys. Really, I figure if they made Killer Croc, all of those guys should be available and reasonable to make... Quote
