Scouty Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I think the trooper is supposed to be the one Sam posted. Technically, Shadows Of the Empire is not EU. Because it is set inbetween Episode 5-6. I always determined EU after the 6th movie. And that before Episode 1 the Sith Era or the Old Republic. One set I would like is a Tie Mauler! Quote

Oh now you're getting into a sticky situation my friend :-D EU (expanded universe) is basically anything that expands upon the movies. Technically the only canon parts to Star Wars are the movies. This means that not even the Clone Wars cartoons are canon (though they're the next best thing), and thankfully the Christmas Special isn't canon :-D And since this TIE crawler was not shown in any movies directly, nor mentioned, it does count as EU. But that's a good thing, really ;-) Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 OMG, another EU set >:-( Sure it looks great but WTF *wacko* Wat are you suppose to do with it ?? It doesn't fit our beloved OT !! Yeay, black stormie is cool looking, but they are not that different from Tie Pilots anyway !! There is nothing cool about that Tie/d that was part of the Tie Collection, so why keep up those EU sets >:-( Here is a pic of the Tie/d if you don't know what it is ;-) I am so pissed :-D Look at all the bloody blue parts I will need to change on this !! Especially that I will buy 3 of them arghhhhhhhhhh !!! Come on, there are so many other Imperial goodies from the OT that need a sweet redesign like the Tie X-1 or the Bomber :-| If they wanted to venture into the EU, they should have picked the magnificent Tie Defender or Tie Hunter: OH well, I am not too thrilled by this unfortunatly :-| *yoda* Quote
Vader Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Heres a pic of the dark trooper mentioned, Its abit more aggresive looking than a normal stormie thats for sure. Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 So *yoda* , you're so upset about this set that you'll buy 3? :-D I'd hate to ask how many sets you buy of one you like :-P I like this set and I'll still probably only buy 1, maybe 2 if I find another one on sale Quote
maiq the liar Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 If they are making the TIE crawler from the first few pages of Dark Empire, I Hope they do the less well know TIE Types too. (Think: Scmitiar assault bomber, Tie phantom Tie Raptor Unknown TIE from X-WING-ALLAINCE #2 TIE hunter ) Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 So *yoda* , you're so upset about this set that you'll buy 3? :-D I'd hate to ask how many sets you buy of one you like :-P I like this set and I'll still probably only buy 1, maybe 2 if I find another one on sale I know, it sounds strange *wacko* You see, I am a compulsive SW collector and army building fan so I am bound to have several >:-( :-P :-D Look at alll the parts I need to change :'-( *yoda* Quote
Scouty Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Dark Troopers are droids. Though. I consider the stormie just a Shadow Trooper. Quote
Darth Andrew Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Can't wait for this baby; I just hope it's not more than $20 USD.... Such an expensive year. :'-( Quote
sam89 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Can't wait for this baby; I just hope it's not more than $20 USD....Such an expensive year. :'-( I'd guess closer to $30-$40. Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I would agree with Sam ;-) It can't be 20 because it will have more parts than the AT-ST or Tie Interceptor. However, will it have the same number of parts as the Y-Wing (40) ?? Lets wait and see/hope It might be 40 unfortunatly. It all depends on the number of parts (d'oh !! :-D ) !! *yoda* Quote
Steff Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 i've found this 7660 31,00 Euro 7661 58,00 Euro 7662 105,00 Euro www.shop4lego.com Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 For those who want on info regarding the Tie Crawler, check Star Wars Databank here !! Also, TLC might give us another weird Tie vehicle: the Tie Mauler which looks way better IMO ;-) I just had a look on the EU spaceships and vehicles and there is a LOT of great looking possible sets in there :-D ;-) EU ON !! *yoda* Quote
CopMike Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I see that www.shop4lego.com uses the scanned pictures for 7660, 7661 & 7662 from EuroBricks for it Quote

Renegade Clone Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 The black stormtrooper is not a Dark Trooper! He is a Blackhole Stormtrooper... Databank entry Wookiepedia entry Hope this clears up any confusion! *sweet* Quote
Darth Doggfather Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 ... but why is a shadow stormtrooper piloting a TIE Crawler? Anyway, it looks good! Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 ... but why is a shadow stormtrooper piloting a TIE Crawler? Anyway, it looks good! You can bet there are 2 MFs in that set ;-) the blackie and pilot IMO *yoda* Quote
Vader Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 2 figs? Hmmmm you never know after all we had 2 with the first Tie fighter then again we only had 1 with the Tie Bomber :-/ Quote
dunamis Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 You can bet there are 2 MFs in that set ;-) the blackie and pilot IMO *yoda* I agree. Upon closer inspection, I'm not all that thrilled with this set (although the treads will be nice.) But since LEGO is throwing in a unique minifig, it will increase the demand on this set. Quote
Asuka Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 The black stormtrooper is not a Dark Trooper! He is a Blackhole Stormtrooper...Databank entry Wookiepedia entry Hope this clears up any confusion! *sweet* Thanks for that info! I guess someone has to be close to the force to have a broad view over those whole EU. X-D Quote
oo7 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Uh-uh. Yoda has made yet another new nickname. Blackie...........Hmmm.............doesn't sound to 'politically correct' X-D Anyways, here are some more new sponge sets pictures. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=232075 Now we're seeing boating school and chum bucket, but does anyone know what's happening with Karate Island, Treedome, Flyn' Dutchman, etc? Vader Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 007 we have seperate threads for SB, Batman and SW so please post relevent pics in each and not all in one. Quote
oo7 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Oh. I just thought the Wikipedia descriptions were fake. I see you're right, they've been taken of Brickset. Usually the sets are definitely confirmed before they uploaded to brickset. :-( 007 we have seperate threads for SB, Batman and SW so please post relevent pics in each and not all in one.D'oh! I thought I was in the other thread for a second, I'm sorry.I know, it's stupid. Quote
