Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Lets hope its not as blocky. -ZotS Quote
Scouty Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I highly doubt they'll do it exactly like from the game. On reason I say this is because the AT-ST for example, LSII had an awsome one, but TLC didn't do that one. I doubt they'll do this one exactly. Quote
KMOI Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 The Republic Cruiser is supposed to look like a brick! Anyhoo, yeah, I agree with Imperial. Also, just check out the amount of bricks that would have to go into that! Seeing as how we already have so many big sets, I think it's going to be more like the new Sith Infiltrator. Y'know, with larger parts to cut down the cost of the set. I really hope it won't be true, but it sure seems like it. Say, speaking of Amidala's ship, why haven't we gotten a Naboo Royal Cruiser yet? It's my favorite design from the Star Wars series, and I would really love to see it be immortalized in LEGO bricks. Especially with all these new sloped pieces. Or perhaps the alternate for the Sith Infiltrator IS the Naboo Royal Cruiser? You never know! Maybe they decided to throw in a few extra parts, just like the Ferrari Chalenge set? Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Then what is this!?!?!"7666 - Account Exclusive Year (2007) , Category POWER ITEMS" If the Hoth Set has figs, then it really can't be a UCS, plus that it's a building. I agree, I mean it's not like a huge UCS just came out and has 5 figs, right? :-P Quote
Scouty Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I should have said Before the Millenium Falcon Quote
sam89 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Seeing as how we already have so many big sets, I think it's going to be more like the new Sith Infiltrator. Seeing as the price is similar to the Sailbarge, the Republic Cruiser should cost about $75. Quote
OOM-9 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I agree that the Republic Cruiser would be great (and TLC's recent turn back to Episode I supports this), but a Naboo Royal Cruiser (ROTS version) would be greater!! Quote
Legoman Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 i hope it IS like he one in the game. *wub* *wub* mabye a few changes but otherwise 8- Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 G, more PT sets yeay !! I really can't hide my excitment :-D I think that cruiser is a crap idea, especially at that price !! The Republic Cruiser is suppose to be 115 meters long !! As a size comparison, the RBR is 150 meters long and the Sail Barge is only 30 meters long :-| So, like the SI, how can we expect a decent set at that price ?? *yoda* Quote
Renegade Clone Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Interesting news, I'd lean towards a Royal Naboo cruiser than the Consular-class cruiser being released - might finally get Padme and Panaka or Typho! Oh yeah, the reason I came to post: The caption thread is at @ pwot.com, a bit adult here-&-there, but funny nonetheless! http://pointlesswasteoftime.com/new_captio...&contest_id=407 Quote
sam89 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 So if 7665 is a Republic Cruiser, what figs do you think would be included? I'd say Qui-Gon, Obi-wan, a couple of battle droids and perhaps Nute Gunray? X-D Quote

I would add a silver protocol droid with tray and 2 glasses and Obie !! To recreate that famous arrival scene hehe !! I would love a Gunray fig and a Palpatine fig (come on TLC, we need a Palpie :-P ) !! Speculate On !! *yoda* Quote
sam89 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Looking back over this thread on FBTB, I'm almost certain that 7665 will be a Republic Cruiser. Batsamd's post contains a list of all the sets that were included in the poll: Sith Infiltrator MTT TIE Crawler AT-ST General Grievous Starfighter Imperial Landing Craft Jedi Starfighter with Jump Ring Naboo Fighter Republic Cruiser Y Wing Fighter Every single one of those sets except for the Republic Cruiser has been/will be released this year. xwingyoda Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Can this cruiser be playset like the ISD ?? Sure it would mean 150 Quote

dr01d3k4 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hi i'm new here so this is my first post. wikipiedia says that all the sets are currently going to be realesed, are going to be realesed, apart from the 7665 cruiser, because there is going to be a 7665 Hoth Rescue this summer!!! it's coming with Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Wampa, Probe Droid and Tauntauns! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lego_Star_Wars_sets There is no 7666, i've looked. sam89 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Welcome to Eurobricks! Wikipedia isn't really the most trustworthy of sources for things like this. Most likely someone has heard that there will be a Hoth Base and assumed that it's set 7665. I think the Hoth Base is most likely to be set 7666 ;-) Quote
dr01d3k4 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hi Why does eveyone not like the sith infiltratior? I think it's probaly one of the best 2007 sets, with the hoth set, landing craft, MTT and the drids battle pack. Quote
SWMAN Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 HiWhy does eveyone not like the sith infiltratior? I think it's probaly one of the best 2007 sets, with the hoth set, landing craft, MTT and the drids battle pack. If you have seen the movies, you know that it looks nothing like in Episode I. I was hoping for a revamped version of the one they made a few years ago. That one was good, but just needed a few tweaks. This one looks like they took a mini set and supersized it. The pieces make it look nothing like the movie. I think the best set this year is the MTT. Quote
dr01d3k4 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hi acording to www.brickset.com 2007 sets are: 7660 Naboo Fighter and Vulture Droid 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive 7662 MTT 7663 doesn't exist? 7664 TIE Crawler 7665 doesn't exist? 7666 doesn't exist? no sith infiltraitor, hoth recue, cruiser or the sets which have been said to be fake (republic gunship, rebel blockade runner and hoth base), wierd. DoubleT Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 Well Brickset aint always updated with unofficial sets *sweet* Quote
Vader Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Oh boy a Republic Cruiser would be great and im all for seeing a Nute Gunray minifig, though i believe it will be obi wan, qui gon, padme and probably jar jar :-X Quote

Padme and Jar-Jar were never on the Republic Cruiser ;-) Quote
Vader Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Whoops :-$ your right i was thinking of the wrong one X-D , oh well eithers good if you ask me. :-) Quote
