Starwars4J Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Sure minifigs push up the price...but not that much. Either they're just trying to see what kind of prices they can get away with, or it's simply a pricing error. Quote
The Executive Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I hope next year Lego will make some sets from the new computer animated show and maybe some new episode II sets like the SPHA-T and Homing spider droid. Quote
yellost Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Sure minifigs push up the price...but not that much. I'm not sure about that, when you consider the Mos Eisley Cantina. It had 4 new MFs (Greedo, Sandtrooper for his plastron, Luke with printed legs and the Dewback head) and it was 45 Quote
Dark Brick Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Is it too early to bid ?? X-D :-P On a more serious note: what is taking so long for better/pics of those sets !! The suspense is really killing me (especially for the Hoth set :-/ ) !! *yoda* Hey *yoda* or *vader* , how much truth is there to the myth that is the Hoth set. If either one of you have any leads or links to as to who or where it was mentioned, I would like to know. Oh and *vader* I have a better idea, instead of selling your wife, sell off some of the LEGO sets that are of no use to you. Otherwise you can always charge an hourly rate to *yoda* . >:-) :-P Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Hey *yoda* or *vader* , how much truth is there to the myth that is the Hoth set. If either one of you have any leads or links to as to who or where it was mentioned, I would like to know. We don't know that much unfortunatly :-( ITs by far my most anticipated set beeing a fan of ESB *wub* To answer your question: the only thing we know is what Sam wrote in this thread !! I have a blind faith in what Sam posts ;-) If he says its real, then it is !! Therefore that set is true ;-) On the MF cost issue: Sure that MFs are quite expensive ;-) The only thing I know for sure is that TLC could add another clonie by getting rid of that crap LUL mace (and replace it with a non LUL Mace *wub* ) !! Too bd they did not do the same with the Wookiee Catamaran >:-( I would love a non LUL Luminara *wub* *yoda* Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Hi @all, the rumors have been confirmed: I talked to a LEGO employee and she confirmed that there will be two more sets this year: 7665 Republic Cruiser 7666 Hoth Rebel Base Both sets will be released between september and december. So lets see what this year will bring us...(-; Many many star wars sets... Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Tks Sir von Lego ;-) No wonder we have very few news on those then ;-) So those two will be the "bonus" sets like the 6212 X-Wing last year ;-) Now Two questions (among the most important f course) remain: will those be exclusives (like the 6212) and what MF will they have ?? Darn Hoth set !! I can't wait for pics of that baby |-/ *yoda* Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I didn't get more information about these sets. The employee said that the date of release is too far away so that she doesn't have more information in her system. But in the BL forum someone wrote something about a toy fair or show where LEGO presented a white 100$ ship. Could this be the republic cruiser? greetings Hendrik Quote

But in the BL forum someone wrote something about a toy fair or show where LEGO presented a white 100$ ship. Could this be the republic cruiser? Well at least she knew something !! I'm tired to know all the good news BEFORE the Lego France employee who operates the store :-| What BL forum ?? Hum, the Rep Cruiser is red and not white so could this be like another set ?? I always thought TLC would release a RBR playset *wub* Since the RBR is white, could I have forseen this set ?? :-D Hey who knows what is bound to happen on the glorious 30 b-day :-P ;-) *yoda* Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Please, please no more SW sets this year!! Where will I get the money for all these sets? *wub* *sweet* Quote

sam89 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 From the prices on the South African website it seemed like the Hoth set will be about $50. So I'd guess that we'd get a slight bigger than Jabba's Palace sized playset with some extras, like Taun Tauns, a probe droid, etc. For the figures, I'd expect Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie, few rebels and some snowtroopers.. Quote
Scouty Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Yay! Confirmations are ALWAYS fun!!! This is great...I'm ovefilled with joy and....excitment! Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 To be honest I was hoping for a huge one...about $100, with a few turrets, a wampa or two, and a hoard of snowtroopers/rebels. *sigh* I guess this is better for my wallet though Quote
Scouty Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Wait....FIFTY DOLLARS for the HOTH BASE? This is absurb! The TIE Crawler is 50$...what will we get with hoth set then? :'-( . Quote

I was thinking $150-200, this would include an AT-AT, AT-ST, Snow Speeder or two, a taun taun, shield generators, the base, and finally at least 10 minifigs. As far as the Wampa is concerned, that could be a separate set with Luke and the Wampa in a cave setting. DB Yeah like *yoda* pointed out we have faith in what Sam told us, the guys never been wrong to my knowledge.Sell lmy lego sets??? 8- Quote

mutley777 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I am really looking forward to this hoth set, it has the potential to be a great set! Don't mess it up lego!! >:-) Quote
The Executive Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I really don't mind what price the Hoth set will be, as long as it comes with some taun tauns and rebels. :-) Quote
Morten Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I am so much looking forward to this Hoth set. I allready started building a Hoth MOC, and was hoping to update this MOC with some stuff from the Hoth set. How if it is released in the fall, it will be a very long wait. I hope we get a set like the army builder type. The price is okay with me. Would like 1 taun taun, a few rebels, no snowtroopers (have lots allready), a good looking turret and a Wampa (is that the name of the snow creator?) plus a Hoth Luke and a probedroid. Morten Quote
Darthking623 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Sorry but i havent't been reading this forum lately but am I correct in thinking that the hoth base is actually going to be a reel set if so hurray *y* Quote
mutley777 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I was just going through some old topics and found that a rebel blockade runner was discussed back in dec 06 as a release for this year. Maybe they got mixed up with the republic crusier as they are quite similar. :-/ Quote

Maybe they got mixed up with the republic crusier as they are quite similar. :-/ I always thought (since we knew about the ISD "playset") that TLC would do the same with the RBR !! It would make sense since the Tantive 4 and the ISD are the 2 first starships we see ;-) It would also be the perfect set to give us the white dress Leia and Rebel Troopers *wub* I think that the Republic Cruiser is a bad copycat of the RBR in horrendous colour and it would make a lousy set with not very interesting MFs !! I'm sure fans from the PT would much rather have an ep3 Republican Gunship ;-) RBR On !! *yoda* Quote
Morten Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 The RPR would make very good sence, like Xwingyoda is talking about. Plus the fact that LEGO made the escape pod and it is one of the vehicles that binds the old movies and the new movies together. Would love a system version of RBR. Morten Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Hoth base... $50? What?! lets hope it has some new molds though... At least the Republic Cruiser sounds promising. -ZotS Quote
