Starwars4J Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Hmm.....I'm a bit confused about the door in Hoth; obviously it opens and closes but I dont see how that's possible with those studs exposed on the top of the interlocking wedges of the door. Wow, I love those figs.WHA? - Why is the Prequel Trilogy ship in Original Trilogy scenery in this picture? I believe there's a plate to raise them up...it's the only way it would work, but not plating the tops was just cheap :-/ Also... Edit: Hm...text was hard to see. It says "What color is this?!" It's on normal red, but even brighter. Quote
oo7 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Interesting. So..........have we forgoten about our frontpage? "What color is this?!" Salmon. Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 What an...odd and random choice of colors. Thanks oo7. Quote
phoinix Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 What an...odd and random choice of colors. Thanks oo7. isnt this the color its supposed to be? thow i dont remember where in the film this ship was...(?) i think lego is running out of ideas and starting to build every ship possible!! (when i think there are a lot more sets the could do! remake the mos-eisley cantina for gods sake!) Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 thow i dont remember where in the film this ship was...(?) The very beginning of Episode 1 Quote
oo7 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 What an...odd and random choice of colors. Thanks oo7. My pleasure, Admiral 4J. However, personally I think the colors are quite suitable. thow i dont remember where in the film this ship was...(?) Humm....seems to be from Episode I. *CLICK* EDIT: 4J beat me too it. i think lego is running out of ideas and starting to build every ship possible!!(when i think there are a lot more sets the could do! remake the mos-eisley cantina for gods sake!) Yes, you're correct as I'm still awaiting an Ewok village and/including an Endor Bunker. :-/ Quote
phoinix Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 thanks for the info guys.. well this really does prove that they are just making ...whatever...sets! how many are gonna buy this? :-/ edit: the Ewok village would be a great set! and they could use the new hair piece from the princess in the new castle line for leia! (oh god im thinking too much lego!) Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 My pleasure, Admiral 4J. However, personally I think the colors are quite suitable. Well, I mean from the pictures the red is pretty uniform on the ship. Two colors of red I could see for maybe some wear and tear...but three? I was looking forward to a nice source for Republic Red ;-) Quote
Kahgarak Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Hmm,the Hoth base is nice.Smaller than i expected, but very nice. The door is made very well.I hope it can open and close! The Probe Droid, hmmm.I like it.But the claws are too short. The rest is awesome about it,though. Very good snowspeeder...very nice troops...and the Imperial turret.I don't know why there's a crossbow on it.I should check Wookieepedia for pics, maybe there's something on the real turret that really looks like a crossbow. I like the Rebel turret a lot.Now that we have both a Dish turret and a Hoth turret,we can recreate scenes from Battlefront II. Quote
Morten Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Repulic cruiser is very cool, the Hoth set is a big disappointment. Was hoping for Taun Tauns, but they did give us good minifigs. They post it on the fbtb forum as well, good proof that it is true! Morten Quote
mutley777 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 The hoth base is good but not great but it does come with some great minifigs and a probe droid! But put 3-4 togeather and it could be awesome! For me the republic crusier looks fantastic! *wub* I hope it does open up a bit like the star destroyer did. Quote
johnsocal Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 The hoth base is good but not great but it does come with some great minifigs and a probe droid! But put 3-4 togeather and it could be awesome! For me the republic crusier looks fantastic! *wub* I hope it does open up a bit like the star destroyer did. The Hoth set is smaller then I was expecting, since it will most likely sell for $49.00 I'll buy 2 or 3 of them. Quote
Ras 74 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Hoth:Good minifig pack. I hope there will be another Hoth set to put together with this set. Everybody would love some of those Taun-Tauns so I hope LEGO has this in mind. I like the Probe, it sure can be moced a bit. Republic CruiserGreat minifigs as well. *wub* the new astro-mech droid. The ship looks like it been jamed a bit (to short). But I don Quote
Legoman Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 i am hoping it has somthing like cafe corner so it shows you what you can make with multiple of the set. 8- Quote
aayla-secura Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 wow we have pics jupppieeee thanks!! Are the pics from Toysrus cataloge?? Can i see more pics? Quote
snefroe Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 both sets aren't particularly of a very high quality, compare the the radiant with the sandcrawler for instance... but look at all that red... *wub* Quote
aayla-secura Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 yep i like the hoth base because of minifigs and the snowspeeder!! Snowspeeder only costs :25 dollar ... nice i will buy for first only hoth i will personally look in THE TOYS STORE on the cruiser and the price.. Quote
Brainbox Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Well, the Hoth Base doesn't really float my boat. Although the Rebel troops are nice, and the Probe Droid isn't bad. The Republic Cruiser, however, *wub* Accurate, but not out of price range judging by the size. I doubt both pilots will fit in the cockpit though. Actually, it looks like the escape pod at the nose is included. As in, it looks like it releases. Is it me, or are the Jedi robes (torso) new? Quote
CopMike Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Ships etc *y* - not the best but good enough! Minifigs - YES X-D!! More Snowtroopers, Hothtroopers, new droid, more Jedi's, Cruiser pilots ..... *wub*! Snowies On copmike Quote
sam89 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 I saw this great bit of news on FBTB: Well, I guess I get to be the bearer of a piece of good news.I was there at Brickfest today and Steve Witt and another Lego representative informed me that while not pictured, the Hoth base will also include a white c-3po. K-3PO??? Sound good? Awesome! X-D Quote
