aayla-secura Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 My post is away?! I wanted to ask when the JSF and The other sets will come to Europe?? Because first it was june now august?! What is it now? Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 It probably is because they usually LEGo changed their minds, and june was just what LEGO told what might be the release date. -ZotS Quote
Asuka Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Because first it was june now august?! What is it now? Just one more doesn Quote

Axle Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Um,just wondering, why'd you both post pics of planets? Quote
Asuka Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Um,just wondering, why'd you both post pics of planets? I did it just to illustrate the float of time.... :-) Although it takes only 27.322 days on average for the Moon to complete one orbit around the Earth (the sidereal month), as a result of the Earth's orbital motion around the Sun it requires about two additional days for the Earth, Moon and Sun to acquire the same relative geometry. So on average the number of days between two similar phases (e.g. between one full moon and the next full moon) is about 29.531 days. This period is referred to as a lunation, lunar month, or synodic month. Quote
oo7 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Um,just wondering, why'd you both post pics of planets? The moon is a moon and the sun with all its splended little solar flares is a star. Neither are planets. I did it just to illustrate the float of time.... :-) In reality, one more month really does matter to some people....... 8-| I assume you mean the flow of time.... Quote
Axle Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 The moon is a moon and the sun with all its splended little solar flares is a star. Neither are planets. Oh,forgot, lol. anyways, will the AT-AT be more than...100 euro? Quote
Asuka Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 I assume you mean the flow of time.... I meant that time floats upon the sea of our very own thoughts impacted by our wishes and dreams.... X-D Faded ideas float in the fancy like half-forgotten dreams.Richard Brinsley Sheridan Quote
oo7 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Ah I see. Well in that case; I wasted time, and now doth time waste me; For now hath time made me his numbering clock: My thoughts are minutes; and with sighs they jar Their watches on unto mine eyes, the outward watch, Whereto my finger, like a dial's point, Is pointing still, in cleansing them from tears. Now sir, the sound that tells what hour it is Are clamorous groans, which strike upon my heart, Which is the bell: so sighs and tears and groans Show minutes, times, and hours" Quote

captaintau Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 "Time is a character It does strange things Moves in Strange Directions, And at strange speeds Don't trust Time Time will always get you in the end" Grant Naylor, The Last Human [sorry, just my contribution to the time-related poetry and discussion] Quote
Wout Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 That's a nice (piece of a?) poem, captain tau, I like it. :-) It's already here looking much for the night of the poetry (festival in Holland once a year) I don't know if the moderators also liked this Quote

The first line should actually "Time is a character in this novel". Inthe novel, time is a constant background, hidden, character. I thoughly recommend the Omnibus of Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers and Better Than Life - they're brilliant and incredibly funny. Quote
Wout Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Thank you, I don't know if Grant Naylors novels are sold in the Netherlands, but I can look for it. On this moment I'm trying to read all Discworldnovels from Terry Pratchet by the library. I have read now +/- 15 of the +/- 30 books (hey, that a good idea for a license 8- Quote

Starwars4J Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I think between us, we probably know quite a bit about Star Wars. We'll start with the basics. It was originally a trilogy of films, revolutionary in their time, telling the story of a farmboy who realises his destiny to become the galaxy's saviour through a journal toward knighthood of a religious group sworn to uphold peace. The three films expanded into what we now know as the EU - Expanded Universe, which includes novels and video games. In the 90s, the three films became six with a prequel trilogy that told how an innocent slave boy became the main bad guy that we see in what is now known as the Original Trilogy. Does that help? It was originally a series of 9 films that started in the middle because it would "sell better" and he needed that to get the series off the ground. However due to monetary issues and time constraints the last three movies (episodes 7, 8, and 9) were compressed into episode 6. The last trilogy was originally going to be about Luke searching for his sister (who wasn't originally Leia) and confronting the Emperor. Also, C3PO and R2D2 are the only characters to appear in all 6 films (Obi doesn't count). It was originally about THEIR adventures, but that changed. Later after Lucas lost his mind and made the PT out of nowhere, he made the whole thing about Anakin. Also, lastly. Never ever believe anything on supershadow.com It's a joke site. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Heh, if Leia wasn't his sister, the series would be way better. -ZotS Quote
