October 13, 201212 yr New problem, the member report button does not work when you go onto someone's profile page. Instead I get a message saying..... Oops! Something went wrong! October 13, 201212 yr I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to this. I would very much like to have my comment window not automatically formatted. I found the "Toggle editing mode" button in the top left corner, but that disables all of the formatting buttons. I want to keep the formatting buttons enabled though. Basically, I'd like to have it the way it was prior to the update. I could not find a default setting in "My Settings" for this. Is it simply impossible?

Isn't it most common to report a post and not someones profile? Or were you trying to flag a spammer from his profile?

When the spammer's made multiple posts, it's easier to send one report of the member saying "this member is a spammer" than to send multiple reports of posts saying "this post is spam".

Is it simply impossible? The number one complaint I see in the IPB forums is the inability to switch to the old standard editor and they refuse to listen. It's the biggest reason we waited so long to update and sadly, there is nothing we can do about it.
October 14, 201212 yr I have a strange feeling that someone with copious amounts of skill and spare time might find a way to write a Firefox and/or Chrome extension that could do the job of the old text editing interface (i.e. a toolbar with all the old formatting options, that would, when clicked, insert the correct BBCode or HTML into the currently-selected text field). If someone came out with that, I might actually consider switching from IE to a new browser... Edited October 14, 201212 yr by Flipz
October 14, 201212 yr @Flipz Good idea, the extension will replace the content of the div cke_toolbox with a new toolbox with the functionalities of the old one. The only problem is to find a volunteer fot that!
October 17, 201212 yr Hopefully this hasn't been asked, and judging from other posts, it looks like it just may be me, I use my iPad... The emoticons aren't showing up for me. I don't know where else to look, on the right here I see "Post Options" and "Enable emoticons?" is checked. But, I don't know where else to look? Help.

Having 'Enable emoticons' checked just makes sure that actually shows up as First, make sure you're using the rich-text editor by clicking the top-left most button on the toolbar above the text area for writing your post. Then click the button with the yellow smiley face on the toolbar. A set of default emoticons now appear below the text area with the option 'Show All' to show all emoticons available.
October 17, 201212 yr Will the minifig head "online/offline status" icon beside the usernames in the old board be reinstated in this new board? I kinda find it useful for stalking if a certain member is online.

Hmm...I don't have a toolbar(speaking of my iPad/safari browser). The only things I have above the text box is "Replying to Open Again!" and a box above that that has a Post Preview. I suppose if I knew the smileys I couod type them out. (let's see if that works)EDIT:it does. Edited October 17, 201212 yr by Legocrazy81

Take a look at the thread titled, Major Forum Upgrade planned.

October 21, 201212 yr For those among us who have trouble noticing when we have a new PM, I've discovered a way to restore the old functionality (with a pop-up that appears over the forum when we recieve a new message): Go to the Notification Options and check this checkbox: Ta-da! You have now restored the old functionality! (Be sure to save your settings before leaving the page. ) Edited October 21, 201212 yr by Flipz

October 21, 201212 yr Yeah I found that too Flipz, thanks for getting the bar to separate pinned topics. It's a good bit easier to tell now.
