The_Chosen_1 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 ^ Wow!! Going for an army of Raph and Mikey minifigs or something? Quote
ReZourceman Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 These are up on LEGO.com in Europe/UK now. They have the Baxter Robot one which is £40. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 That'd be all the better if it was a sizable army of Foot Soldiers! What will you do with all of those turtle clones Lawrence? Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Why? Maybe if you were more specific... Quote
BrickG Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Why? Assuming you're saying "why?" to "it would be a lot better if those were footsoldiers"... Isn't it obvious? A huge amount of Mikeys and Raphs... I see no point. I mean, I could use TWO at once if I really racked my brain. But an army? Footies are generic like Stormtroopers and there's always room for more as opposed to say, having an army of Luke Skywalkers. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Regardless, one word posts should be avoided at all costs. Quote

305Bats Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Why would anyone need or want so many duplicates is what I meant. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Some people like to army build. I love seeing large quantities of certain figures that should be in larger quantities, unlike the army of Harry Potters or Jack Sparrows.. But a lot of foot soldiers is very appealing. Quote
305Bats Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Well yes,I would love to have an "army" of foot soldiers but not an army of turtles. Quote
eldiano Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 How much did he had to pay for those mini figs of the turtles? Quote
Vindicare Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 So, I'm guessing since the lack of Turtles at Toy Fair that TMNT is in the dreaded 'one and done' category... Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 So, I'm guessing since the lack of Turtles at Toy Fair that TMNT is in the dreaded 'one and done' category... It just means that no sets are coming out this summer. It's too early to say if or when there'll be another wave. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I would assume (all speculation) that there could be more TMNT next winter wave, only because from my understanding is the show is quite successful. I haven't watched it, nor have I seen ratings or anything, but I think it seems to be doing well with the target audience, and if that is the case TLG will make stuff to sell. But we'll wait and see later this year. Since I haven't watched the show, I don't know who else they can come out with. And since I already have the figures I would want (from my childhood memories) I don't know how likely I'd buy any more sets next year. Quote
Vindicare Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Since I haven't watched the show, I don't know who else they can come out with. And since I already have the figures I would want (from my childhood memories) I don't know how likely I'd buy any more sets next year. We've seen Leatherhead, Rat King and Metalhead. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the iconic/well known characters. I'm hoping for Casey Jones. Quote
Oakenmold Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Casey Jones is confirmed for season 2 Quote
Jargo Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Karai would have to be in one set. As she's playing a fairly large role in the series. I'd like to see Krangbots that weren't just printed minifigs too. I suppose everything hinges on Lego's plans and sales of the current sets. Rather than the success of the show. Quote
blksuperman2 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 That's pretty cool. W/ the Ralph's you could do an all Red Bandana version of the 4 like how they were in the comics prior to the 80s cartoon. Quote
refriedbeans Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Converted subway cars don't drive themselves. Haha, not yet anyway! Quote
Lyichir Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 So, I'm guessing since the lack of Turtles at Toy Fair that TMNT is in the dreaded 'one and done' category... Keep in mind that this is a Nickelodeon license, and Lego's previous license with them, Lego Spongebob, had a fairly sporadic release schedule, typically with one wave per year (if that). I wouldn't count this theme out just yet. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Keep in mind that this is a Nickelodeon license, and Lego's previous license with them, Lego Spongebob, had a fairly sporadic release schedule, typically with one wave per year (if that). I wouldn't count this theme out just yet. Even so, this could very easily be a one and done theme. Look at the sets we've had released in this theme. They cover all of the main thing that needed to be covered. We have the four Turtles, Splinter, Shredder, the Lair, Shredder, April, Baxter Stockman, a Kraang droid, a Kraang brain, Fishface and Dogpound. Even so, I wouldn't want this to be a one-wave theme. There is quite a lot of potential for sets and new characters. Hopefully we will get one more wave at least. 100th post! Hooray! Now I'm a citizen! BrickG Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 What I hope we don't get: Micheal Bay Ninja Turtles movie sets... For the love of God, this terrible person is going to ruin the franchise with another mindlessly stupid movie. Ninja Turtles aliens... Megan Fox as April O'neill... every single horrible move he's ever made.... I don't care if they're financially successful they're just terrible and I hate Micheal Bay as a PERSON . The movie probably won't be out until like 2015 but still... It's 100% guaranteed to be a terrible movie. I hope they stick with the new Nick CGI series. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 It is a license with the Nick show, not the movie. They would have to do a whole new license for the movie turtles, of which I don't see them doing to tarnish their good deal with Nickelodeon. Quote
