SheepEater Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Hey all! Following my small 9469 Frodo's Wooden Race Car MOC I built last May, http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=70330 Here is a LotR/Castle MOC made entirely with the bricks from the 9470 Shelob Attacks set. The head was built first, hence why it's a bit disproportionally big. The hind legs were done last, hence why they are short and frail (lacking parts). The neck, jaw, limbs, wings, and tail are all articulated. 9470 is a terrific hinge parts pack. What is this mini-dragon's favorite snack? Hobbits, of course! Leftover parts. You can see I pretty much used all the hinges that I could. Brickshelf gallery http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=514402 Quote
andhe Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Nice work! I think it looks a lot better in 'flight mode' than when on it's little legs. Was this how you built it? I guess it reminds me of a bat, or pteradactyl in that respect, born to fly. Quote
SheepEater Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Thanks! >>>Nice work! I think it looks a lot better in 'flight mode' than when on it's little legs. I think it looks best when crouching on all 4 of its limbs (as seen on the pics when it attacks Frodo), but I agree it kinda looks ridiculous when standing up on its hind legs. >>>Was this how you built it? Not sure what you mean by this question, but I started with the head, and went from there, using as many pieces from the 9470 as I could. Cheers! Quote
SheepEater Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 Hi! I finally dismantled it. Here are some photo instructions (which are just reverse-ordered photoshoot of my dismantling of it). Now everybody who owns the 9470 can easily build it. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=514402 Quote
