Zerobricks Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Its listed on brickset, but so far not a single work or a pic of it? I doubt is the limited edition of the crawler??? Quote
bacem Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 i guess its because the set hasn't been officially released yet, but it will released on summer probably there will be a lot of picture of it around that time. Quote
rm8 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) Race car? I am not sure. It is better not to announce name at all, or name it "exclusive crawler", but not "action race car". No action, no race. Car - yes. I think it should be something new and secret. May be Little present for fans for second half:) Edited February 26, 2013 by rm8 Quote
Paul Boratko Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) The crawler is not going to be called "Action Racecar".. That set name was in place long before that crawler contest officially started... The action racecar secrecy is somewhat like the 8081 "Extreme Crusier" was from 2011.. Everyone knew the name, but no pics surfaced until summer... Edited February 26, 2013 by Paul Boratko Quote
Saberwing40k Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I find it highly abnormal that there are absolutely no pictures of 42003 at any of the toy fairs, or any reference to to the rumored power functions tuning set. Ah well, we'll find out soon enough. Quote

Ah well, we'll find out soon enough. There is only one reason why there is no information: it is still developing, and not confirmed by management. May be it is a exclusive set project wich was started too late and not ready yet. Quote
DLuders Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Maybe The Lego Group should just produce one of Paul Boratko's fine supercar MOCs (with his permission, of course), and call it the 42003! Quote
Meatman Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Maybe The Lego Group should just produce one of Paul Boratko's fine supercar MOCs (with his permission, of course), and call it the 42003! I highly doubt that. I would like to see a model next year called the 40666 Vampire GT though. I already have it built in Red, but I would most definitely buy a few black ones. But that is just wishful thinking. He is struggling to even get supports on Cuusoo. The closest we'll get to a fan made model is the one that won the crawler challenge. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 If it isn't rm8's version of the crawler, than my guess is that it's another radio control (not IR) car, similar to years past. Quote

God I hope not, that Extreme Cruiser was one of the biggest anti-climaxes in the Technic line in a long time, lets hope it's not on those lines. Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Merged into the current 2013 sets & info topic. Quote
drofnas Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Looks like it would be pretty fun making small movies with Lego Technic sets :-) I want to see them re-shoot that with a PFed 42000 set, although not sure it could get up to enough speed to do all those sweet flips. Quote
bjorn77 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 So, with the Mobile Crane MK II coming this year, when can we expect a Bulldozer MK II? Now that's the set I really want. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 So, with the Mobile Crane MK II coming this year, when can we expect a Bulldozer MK II? Now that's the set I really want. I doubt it..... The original crane came out in 2005 while the bulldozer came out in 2007, so maybe in another 7 years? Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 The Bulldozer was two years behind the Crane so I expect it in the summer of 2015. Quote

paul_delahaye Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Can anyone remember at what point the B models images surfaced last year? Quote
BooTheMightyHamster Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Is there a hard and fast date for the 2nd half Technic sets to be released? I'd assumed it was July / August time, but I was at the AFOL shopping event on Saturday, and got talking to a member of staff at the Watford store. He said the 2nd half stuff would start hitting the shelves in June. I have to assume he knows far better than me. Can't wait! Quote
