The new technic sets are in the Lego Stores in Germany.

I got mine

There was a german Afol who bought both the crane and the Tow Truck right in front of me, anyone from here?

(yesterday evening at around 18hrs in Oberhausen)

On my way to Koln (Germany) as we speak. There's a Lego store there. Hope I can resist

Did you get the crane?

Yep I did. Had to do it  You will too, you cannot go by this set.. You know you want too

Started building yesterday. Got as far as book 2 in about 1,5hrs. Still much much left (fortunately  )

The better part of the first booklet is not much fun, I was a bit disappointed actually. But once the gears start coming it gets more interesting, some nice -new?- techniques are used also.

I think it will be a fun build after all, maybe it can even compete with building the 8043 (my all-time favourite  )

There is a lot wrong with the inventory of 42009 and 42008 on rebrickable. The dark and light greys are mixed up all the time and trans orange is mistaken for yellow

i put the inventories on Bricklink.

All the time?

Well Rebrickable is all wrong with 42009 and to a lesser extend 42008. Most parts, especially the beams, are all put in Light Bluish Grey and hardly any Dark Bluish Grey

I have had the pleasure to hold the box, but I could somehow easily resist. I think I am suffering from MTADS (minor technic attention deficiency syndrome) or something, because Technic doesn't do it for me at the moment.

I would have bought that thing the second i touched it.

Normally I would be ecstatic to find a new flagship available, let alone holding it in my hands

I still have four unopened Technic models eagerly awaiting to be built.

Guess I am having one of my Star Wars periods

Let's be careful not to derail this discussion by going too much off topic. However, it might be a nice conversation topic for another thread.

(I will start a new topic)

There is a B-model, as far as I know even mentioned in this thread. It contains a truck, container and container loader. Opinions about that model vary, some like it, some don't.

I think he meant, that the instructions are not yet available on the website.

Very annoyed, want the tow truck, Lego Store stratford says they have them in stock out the back but won't sell me one until the 27th August, something to do with the launch of the new Argos catalogue, so silly, Lego now loose my £80 sale to Argos on the 27th as I'm not travelling back to a brand store any time soon.

They make 50 - 60% less money from my sale, it does annoy me as I'd far rather support Lego directly than through a third party.
