FuzzyBallz Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 fuzzyballz, you have the boss? are you in the top hundred? I wish! No, just talking about getting the boss on day one from S@H and waiting on the other 2. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Rather odd, Argos in the UK is listing the new Crane 42009 at £20.00 more expensive than Lego.com/shop, this is an unusual move, unless they will be offering a £20 discount starting tomorrow! Quote
Daniel-Technic Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 For your info, 42008 and 42009 is now at lego shop in uk. Bought 42009 for £149.99 today. Happy! Argos selling for £179.99, 30 quids dearer, yikes! Quote
paul_delahaye Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 lol, good to see my maths is up to scratch! £30 not £20 :-) Quote
kjhubb Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I just bought the 42009 at the Lego Store at Downtown Disney. $220.00 Quote
therealjustin Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 The new Technic sets are up(preview only) on S@H USA. Available August 1st as predicted. Quote
chorlton Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 42008 and 42009 are up on the UK shop.lego.com and appear to be avialble to buy now. No sign of 41999. Quote
skriblez Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Up on the Norwegian S@H for silly expensive prices. Hopefully TRU has them cheaper. 42008 and 42009 are there, no 42999 yet Quote
EyesOnly Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Here in sweden tru and s@h have about the same prices. No summer sets yet though on s@h but the crane is on tru. Not a low price but lower than the preview price i saw at s@h. Quote

FuzzyBallz Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Yep, just checked TRU, they have both 42008 and 42009 100 kr cheaper than S@H. Wow, so lucky. The TRU around here mark up all large LEGO sets by 20%, it's retarded. Actually, they mark up all LEGO sets by 20%. Basically anytime the TRU around here have a sale, you're paying the MSRP price. I love Target a lot more because when they do sale, you're actually paying less. Too bad they don't really carry Technic sets. But I get a lot of City and Creator sets for my nephew at Target during sales. Quote
skriblez Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Yeah, i am going to TRU right after work tomorrow for the crane! Quote
Bricktrain Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 on S@H today 42008 = $199.95NZ, 42009 = $349.95NZ 42009 is the same price as the crawler, $50 less than the Unimog was so thats a bonus, no 41999 yet though. Quote
Wiseman_2 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Picked up 42009 from the Lego store at Leeds Trinity (UK) today at £149.99, pleasantly surprised that it's cheaper than the Unimog was. And they threw this in free too. And the box is heavy. Really, really heavy. To me at least Quote
Eigenbroetler Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 42009 42008 42005 42001 out now on S@H sweden. Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Well I have a video that I could upload to "you've been framed" if I get the £250 I shall get the Exclusive Crawler... If I don't then I don't get the set :( Edited July 31, 2013 by MrNumbskull13 Quote

I was looking at UK the other day (if I remember correctly), and the Unimog is actually cheaper than the 4x4 Crawler (9398). It doesn't make any sense! Quote

N-4K0 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 S@H priced the Mobile Crane MK II at KR1899 some time ago, when I could see a price in Norwegian currency. Now I get redirected from lego.com/nb-no/ to lego.com/en-US/ when I click on the marker to find out the price. Right now, KR1899 is around $321 (xe.com). The TRU price is KR1799, which is around $304. I'm still not sure if I should buy the crane, there's too much of the parts I neither want or need. It's too much gears and small/bent beams I don't need, and too much 2L black pins. I want to build the truck from the B-model, but I wonder if I should just try to order parts I want and need from Bricklink instead of buying this set. I'll only end up with way to much parts I don't want, which will end up in the garbage or something. Quote

N-4K0 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I can keep all your extra parts safe for you Good one I haven't made up my mind yet, which, knowing myself, will take some time. I got some money refunded from my taxes for last year, + some money for some small jobs I've done, so adding them up I can buy the crane and technically pay maybe less than half of the full price. Going by that, I can buy it and just give away the parts I don't want or need. I keep all of my parts in a few sorting boxes, and I already have 1 tray full of 3x5 L-shaped beams, and 1 tray full of gears. In addition I have all the "gearbox" gears with pin holes and stuff separate, and it's just too much. And more will come if I buy the crane. So, if I buy it, I can very well send the gears and stuff I don't want or need to you, skriblez, if you want them Quote

N-4K0 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I say it I usually build various MOCs, and spend alot of the time modifying them, but I'm not into gearboxes and such. I don't have the brain to come up with things like that on my own. So such parts are useless to me. Quote
