Wiseman_2 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It's so strange how they price the sets at different countries. I was looking at UK the other day (if I remember correctly), and the Unimog is actually cheaper than the 4x4 Crawler (9398). It doesn't make any sense! The Unimog was £154.99, so £5 more than the crane, while the Crawler is £139.99, so the Unimog is still the most expensive Technic set of recent times in the UK. I'm guessing the licenses, pneumatics and new parts are what made the Unimog more expensive. The crane, certainly, is not bad value for money at all Quote

Harvey1990 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Lego is to bloody expensive.. Lets start a poll get lego price lowered Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 EUR 499 ?!? *jaw drops to the floor* Even with the price in NOK, I could have bought 2 cranes and still had some money left Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) People like those resellers really make me sick... They hurt other buyers in two ways. First by buying the set, someone else wont get it. Secondly by raising prizes they rip off others. Its almost like kidnapping.... Edited August 1, 2013 by Zblj Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Someone take all their income from reselling, as a fine Quote
skriblez Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 TRU had no sets in either store of 42009 and 42005 :( The girl checked her machine and they had 2 at their central hub. Sillyness! Now i have to go out scouring the city for a place that has them, if i knew they were going to be sold out/not in stock i would have ordered it for points :( Sillyness i tell you. Quote
zux Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 New sets appeared in Lithuania too, all prices are German price +20% Quote
750ACE Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 TRU had no sets in either store of 42009 and 42005 :( The girl checked her machine and they had 2 at their central hub. Sillyness! Now i have to go out scouring the city for a place that has them, if i knew they were going to be sold out/not in stock i would have ordered it for points :( Sillyness i tell you. TRU near me had all the sets in stock and all $20 higher than lego.com Quote
skriblez Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 42008 was around $13 cheaper at TRU than on lego.com Quote
dragofoscar Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 42009 for 159,99 Euro at amazon.de.... Hmm... I do Not know, should i Stay or should i go... This is a very Good Price for 2600 pieces. But honestly i like Cars more than Heavy machines. 8043 is nice, but i dismantled it fast to do mocs. What do you think, will the Price rise again? Anyone tracked the 8110 Price After Release? Ps: Sorry German ipad ;0) Quote
skriblez Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 42009 is now mine. Paid the same price as S@H but i wanted to bring it to the cabin this weekend so then i had to buy it in the store. Silly TRU had no sets :( They only had 42008 in stock Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Ah hell, I'm buying 42009 too I need the tires and a bunch of yellow beams and pins Quote
skriblez Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Haha, get it from S@H if you can't get it at TRU. VIP points, free shipping and the same price as all the other toy stores i visited today. Heavy box! Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I dunno, it's 100 KR cheaper online at TRU. But I have to change my address, the new postal number my area got not long ago, with the last digit replaced, doesn't go through for some reason. And the VIP points are tempting. Btw, how does the VIP points work? The Lego store gives 189 VIP points for the crane at 1899 KR. Is it like 1 point = 1 krone? Quote
skriblez Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Not to sure about the VIP points but i think they work like you said. Free shipping at S@H i think, dunno about TRU Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 TRU has free shipping over 500 KR, that was marked out on the site. Btw, is there a Lego Store in Norway? Or is Denmark the closest? And in that case, will a purchase from someone in Norway be sent from Denmark? Quote
skriblez Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 If you get free shipping there its 100kr saved. I haven't found one, maybe there is one hidden in Oslo somewhere but i doubt it. Denmark/Sweden would be the closest. Found a Lego Store in Poland when i was there. Must be a nice place to work :P I think all sets come from Denmark. Cheaper for them and for us. Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 True. Well, I have ordered the 42009 from the Lego Shop, and signed up for a VIP membership Quote
rm8 Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) While we fighting S&H, Designers blog was updated with information about 4 2h2013 catalogued models. You can found there information about "who designed 420001, 42005, 42008?" http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/technic/technicfan/blog/2013-2hy/july-blog-post/ Edited August 5, 2013 by rm8 Quote
