Awwww poor Yoda! There! There! Its only a misplaced thread. No need to get boiled up over something so insignificantly trivial.

well as i said before, 50% is no choice at all, it's not good or bad, it's neutral. I want people to make a choice and not hide out in the neutral zone.

I have to disagree because 50% usually means it just passes, I.e. "I like some things but there's equally as many things I don't like" not "I feel neutral about the sets".

Correct me if I'm wrong but universities all over the world assess assignments based on a score of 100, where 50 is a Pass. And that's not because the assessor feels neutral towards the outcome of the assignment, its more towards the fact the student has done enough not to fail.

But anyway, its your poll and it seems to be working so I shall write no more on the matter.

no that's not the principle behind it in Flanders. In Flanders we ask ourselves: "Based on this exam, do I feel, as the professor/assistant who just went through the exam, that the student knows his stuff? Does he understand enough of it to go to the next level?" The answer had three options: 1) no, failed completely; 2) it's not bad, but not sufficient either (50-60%); 3) yes, no problem at all... So if they feel more or less neutral, if they're not convinced of the student's ability, they'll give him/her between 50-60%. It means that if the general result (all exams of all the subjects) is not good, the student will have to take a second chance, not only on the failed subjects, but also on the "neutral" ones. If the entire result is good, then there's no problem for the 50-60% subjects... I've always felt that this was a better solution to evaluate students, it allows the professor/assistant to add nuances in the his evaluation. Unfortunately, the students asked the universities to change the system to the one you're mentioning. In many systems of evaluation in all sorts of institutions, you still have to have 55-60%, btw...

well, but if you're in the shop, you're going to have to make a choice, don't you? you'll have to ask yourself if the good outweighs the bad; if so, you'll buy the set, if not, you'll buy something different. so, in the end, there's no such thing as "equality in good and bad".

However, in the case of this poll, i just follow the guidelines professors of marketing always told me to do: avoid the 50% because many people will use that option to allow themselves to not giving an answer. It's the "I don't know" answer you just don't want as a researcher.

It depends, do they have new alien heads or are they new?

What type of bodies are they using old ones?

Do the ships have any functions?

Do they have new peaces?

*alien* *alien* *alien* *alien* *alien* *alien* *alien*

I got one of the old ones, it was ok but not the best kit ever......

Again...there were pictures of the new aliens if you looked back in the Mars Mission thread...

I voted 3/10 (would have voted 5/10 if that option was available). The only set I really disliked was the last one; the rest didn't do much for me either way.

5/10.

Sets themselves aren't too bad, but I definitely don't like the environment.

I am just bored about aliens. And I don't especially like the desing, I hope that it will manage to be improved.

With the exception of the green blobs, I love these sets. I do agree that the shooting functions should go, but I have found uses for these in the past.

I think you are right. A neutal vote might has well be a missed vote.

I don't think minifigs should define the overall look of a line. Yes, those aliens blow, but the ships and vehicles are magnificent. I'd buy that tube pump system playset thing JUST for the rocketship. It's lovely.

So I said 7/10, because some of the cockpits are too open for ships that are supposed to be airlocked. Like the 5$ set, the fighter. The only reason I haven't bought that is because it uses a cockpit that goes well with it only if it has the cockpit base...And the mining vehicle that comes with the dropship ALSO has an open cockpit.
