Hi guys, I'm new here. I wonder where the Train Wheel RC, Holder is. I tried using the part number (2878) but I still don't see it. Thanks for helping!

EDIT: I found the complete assembly of it in LDD Extended, but since I built what I needed it for in LDD normal, now what I need help is moving that to LDD Extended.

It's really easy to switch from one to the other. After you open your model built in "normal", from the menu select View > New Themes > LDD Extended. You will then have access to the Extended palette.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

EDIT: There's now another thing I need to find, well, I found a part of it. I now need the 87574 Electric

Train Motor RC Train with PF Cable, Orange Wheel Holders. However, LDD only has the Motor part of it (it's called Train Motor 2006 btw), and I can't seem to fit a cable because it has no cable holes, so I now need to find the whole part.

I would rather say 2346 “tyre high narrow Ø30.4 x 11” or 56897 “tyre high small Ø30.4 x 11” and the hub would be a 6248 “hub Ø17 for technic snap” with a round tile 2x2.

(30391 doesn’t fit 6248 and I’m pretty sure about the tile and, hence, about the 6248.)

I pulled one out of a drawer and 30391 fits a round 2x2 tile just fine, but I wasn't really thinking about the hub (as there are any number of ways to attach the tile, or even just have it sitting on there), but it turns out you're right and it's a 2346. You can clearly see it on the tire if you go a couple photos over in the stream. :classic:

And looking at more pictures where you can see some of the steering assembly, I think 6248 hubs in gray are correct as well.

I'm pretty sure it's 30391 ( http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/30391 ) and it does come up in LDD if you search that part #.

I'm not quite sure which ones you're referring to, but if you mean the red ones in the first several tutorial pictures, that's a Technic Chain Link (part no. 3711) and can be found in LDD (Extended) under the Tires & Wheels section (along with the other types of tread I see used on the page you referenced, some of them also named with "link" instead of "tread" which might make them harder to find when searching).

Where is the part that is the opposite of the one shown on the right? i.e. the one with the same type of attachment as the one on the left but instead of being 1x2{hinge} it's 2x1{hinge}

If you’re talking about id 60478, it’s 2 rows above from the 1x2 clip (that’s 3 rows above 2x1 hinge). (When using the “no-color” filter in LDD or the Extented mode.)

You can also enter 60478 or “shaft” in the search field. (Yes, this one is “w/shaft” whereas 2x1 is “w/stick”….)

If it’s the 3777 (solid studs), then the 4862 fits.

4862 is the 2nd glass, 3rd part, in the category (first is 60601 which fits the other 1x2x2 frames, then the small shutter).

Hi, i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask as it's about the LDraw library, not LDD, but here goes. I've recently started teaching myself to use MLcad as i want to learn how to publish instructions for models, but i'm having problems finding some of the newer elements. In particular i cannot seem to find the Mixel joints 6043656, 6043639 and 6039482 (Lego ID#). The related element 6039479 is there under plates (1x2 plate with ball joint-8), but just not the others. I've updated the library and tried searching for the part numbers using the "find" function, but it doesn't look like they exist in the library yet?? Can anyone confirm this, or if i have somehow missed them, please point me in the right direction? Many thanks! :)

Not the right place to post this indeed... When looking for a LDraw part through its reference you must use the 5 digits design number (that defines shape), not the 7 digits item number (that defines shape + color). Brickset website allows to get the design number from the item number (for example http://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6043656 -> 14704)

The parts you're looking for are here:

http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?s=14704

http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?s=14418

http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?s=14419

But they are not yet fully certified, so you must download and install the unofficial parts that you can download here to get them: http://www.ldraw.org/library/tracker/

Ah, that's brilliant, just what i was looking for! Thanks so much! I'll remember that about the part numbers the next time i go searching for something too. Sorry about my newbie errors in this part of the forums, as i say, i'm just starting to get my feet wet with MLcad.

While your mind is not yet too "formated" by MLCad usage, I suggest that you give a try to LDCad which is much more convenient and powerful! Edited by Philo

Hello! Just started on the forums, I'm trying to find the t-bar piece (bricklink ID 4697b), but I can't find it anywhere. I've tried searching for it but it doesn't come up.

Some Bricklink IDs add extra stuff to LEGO's own IDs - in this case, that "b" on the end. Apprently, this is to differentiate between the slightly different designs over the years. LEGO doesn't do this, so If something doesn't pop up, it could well be because of the extra stuff like "b", "c05", "px116", etc.

Help me LDD Master Builders! Are these pieces in LDD? I'm decently proficient at finding the design and element number to then search further with but with these three I'm stumped. If anyone can provide the design, element number or whether or not they're in LDD it is greatly appreciated.

Landing gear with small white wheel, I believe its from a 1990s space shuttle set, none of the wheels and tires in LDD match: EDIT: Found on bricklink with a weird part number under space shuttle wheels, haven't found in LDD

These lattice pieces (in grey with arrows). Its 1x16 plate-thick with no studs. I do not recall what sets these may be from (old train crossing gate?): EDIT: finally found it as 4168 Support Lattice 1x16 haven't checked LDD yet.

And finally these airplane nose area parts. I found newer part substitutions that work but are these older parts without the stud-notches in the side not in LDD?
