mobricki Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Well I did pretty terrible last week with my picks but I'm going to go with the Patriots and the Niners this week. I just wasn't impressed with the Falcons and I think the Pats are just too good for the Ravens. Quote
Leo604 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) This whole Manti Te'o story is the most confusing thing I've ever read in my life. EDIT: Sorry, weird grammar. Edited January 18, 2013 by Leo Crimson Quote
tomdobs55 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 This whole Manti Te'o story is the most confusing thing I've ever read in my life. EDIT: Sorry, weird grammar. I think it's the biggest non story I've seen in a long time. Quote
Leo604 Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 I think it's the biggest non story I've seen in a long time. Pun or no pun? Cause imo this is gonna affect his draft stock no matter whether he was completely out of it or somewhat involved. Probably more so if the former is true. Quote
Grimmbeard Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Super bowl predictions? I'm taking the 49ers by 3 points. Edited February 3, 2013 by Grimmbeard Quote
Leo604 Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 I'd said 49ers by a full 7, but down to the wire. Quote
Leo604 Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 The power outage really saved San Fran in the 2nd half, I doubt they would've scored at all if they hadn't had that time to regroup. Quote
tomdobs55 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Pun or no pun? Cause imo this is gonna affect his draft stock no matter whether he was completely out of it or somewhat involved. Won't affect his draft stock anymore than his terrible combine performance Quote
Leo604 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Holy Flacco overpay. O_O How ironic is it he gets 6 years, 120 million when this whole week was all a bunch of people restructuring their contracts to free up cap space... Quote
Brickington Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I don't think Flacco is over payed. Considering Rory McIlroy is getting 25 million a year just from Nike. Quote
Grimmbeard Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Ehhh, he's over payed. Seriously, he's good, but not 120 million good. His team wins a Superbowl. Great. Now they have no cap space. Quote
Brickington Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I just did my research, he's is over paid. By the looks of it, is Flacco the highest paid player? Quote
Leo604 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 I think so, and apparently it's also the big contract in NFL history; the latter fact is my biggest problem with this. If there's ever such a thing as prof. sports extortion this is probably the epitome of it. Quote
Brickington Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Tiger Woods got a big contract, biggest he was unstoppable. But Flacco isn't at the league Tiger was at. Neither is Flacco at the level of Peyton manning. I do not think Flacco deserves that big of a contract. But I know if I was him I would be happy. Quote
Leo604 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want to challenge him to a game of poker; I can pretty much guarantee though a few years down the line from now he'll end up restructuring his contract to free up cap space like Drew Brees and Brady have just done. Plus without Ray Lewis Baltimore has a much lesser chance of making it back to the Super Bowl next year. Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I remember we talked about having a fantasy league last year. Anyone game to have one this year? I'd be willing to set it up. Quote
AncientDayz Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I remember we talked about having a fantasy league last year. Anyone game to have one this year? I'd be willing to set it up. I would definitely be interested! I do one every year with my siblings and extended family (we even have a large trophy that the winner gets their name engraved on and gets to keep for the year - sort of like the Stanley Cup - I know that's hockey, but I liked the idea when I set up the league). Anyway, back on topic: I'm always up for a second league! Quote
Leo604 Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 I'd be down if I have time; any website (NFL.com, Yahoo, ESPN, etc.) would be fine with me. Quote
Captain_Rex Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Fantasy Football would work for me on NFL.com or ESPN.com. It sounds like a great idea! Quote
Leo604 Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 So according to Adam Schefter today: NFL eliminated traditional AFC-NFC Pro Bowl matchup; will be replaced with Pro-Bowl fantasy-like draft, per ESPN sources. Whoa. Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hm.. Might make it more interesting. We'll see. Looks like most of us are interested in a yahoo group. I'll get it set up in a few days. Quote
