eurotrash Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I honestly feel for Eli... The Giants have no running game at all right now, meaning they're pinning all their hopes on him... and then his O-line can't block steaming poop let alone an opposing defensive line. When your QB can't even get three steps back into the pocket before he's slammed on his back, he's not your problem!;) All fair points, but he's on my team so he is my problem.... I'm going to cut him after the Chiefs game and slap Cam Newton back in... Quote

Daenerys Targaryen Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Seriously Giants? Dropping to 0-4, and overall there were maybe at most 4-5 snaps all game where Eli had decent protection in the pocket... Looks like we're racing the Jags for top draft pick this year! Quote
jluck Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Figure I'll let my colors show, Indy Colts for me, though I also have a soft spot for the lovable losing bengals. My fantasy teams aren't much to mention so far. As a side note I'm also a huge futbol fan. Earlier this month I went to the USA Mexico game in Columbus, incredible. Quote
eurotrash Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Seriously Giants? Dropping to 0-4, And the Chiefs at 4-0. Jeesh! Quote
Leo604 Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Thoughts on USC firing Lane Kiffin? Personally I thought it was gonna come sooner or later (maybe a bit later, like after the season where his contract would've expired and his release would've been...cleaner, so to speak). The whole fiasco with his dad leaving for Dallas was the start of some serious problems, and it's pretty obvious now Matt Barkley and not Kiffin was the source of USC's success. If they can get Kevin Sumlin next year, that would definitely help rejuvenate the program. Quote
jluck Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Kiffin got the job based on name only, his Tennessee days ended with him leaving the program in shambles. He never deserved that job in the first place. Quote
tomdobs55 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 And the Chiefs at 4-0. Jeesh! Hey Arizona started 4-0 last year too...how'd that work out. I'm more surprised that the Steelers and Giants are 0-4. Quote
Leo604 Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Shocking news of the day, Bucs cut Josh Freeman: http://espn.go.com/n...se-josh-freeman I feel like the same thing is gonna happen to Dalton in 2-3 years. :/ Quote

Dalton is serviceable, just not elite. He isn't asked to do much, but hasnt reached that next level yet. Too bad too, the bengals are filled with play makers. Quote
ep3_lol Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I don't think the Freeman cut was terribly shocking. That situation has been volatile for more than a year now. What's up with those Browns? Quote

I I don't think the Freeman cut was terribly shocking. That situation has been volatile for more than a year now. I know, I was being sarcastic. What I am surprised by is that teams with Pro-Bowl calibre starters like GB didn't try to trade for him as a backup; they wouldn't have had to give up much based on, like you said, the whole situation and his salary for this year wasn't too high either. Daenerys Targaryen Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Probably don't want to hassle of dealing with his ego would be my guess... Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Some crazy games today. Can't believe Romo managed to keep the Cowboy's in the game! Quote
Sisco Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Making a rare EB appearance to say: Chiefs are 5-0. First time since 2003. I don't know what to think; I'm not used to this winning feeling. Quote

Leo604 Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Schaub is almost definitely done in Houston now; my predictions is that next year he'll be replacing a horrible QB cast in either Cleveland, Jacksonville, or maybe even Minnesota. Quote

At least they get the satisfaction of knowing they were the team who helped 'injure' Micheal something-I-can't-say-in-a-public-forum!' (I really hate that guy!) Quote

It's unexplored territory for sure.... I think the two forthcoming games against the Donkeys promise to be crucial. Considering their defense, it could be pretty similar to the Dallas game; I still Denver would win both, though. I doubt Peyton's going to slack off in the foreseeable future. Quote
eurotrash Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) Ok, who swapped out the 2013 Chiefs for last years version?.... this is so frustrating against the Raiders. <edit> I posted this before they beat the Raiders back to 3rd and 48 then took two interceptions and scored off them and then broke the world record for loudest outdoor stadium. Ok, now I'm happy! Edited October 13, 2013 by eurotrash Quote
Leo604 Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 If Jacksonville is going to replace Blaine Gabbert before the end of this season, Nick Foles would be a viable option. Assuming of course, Vick gets the starting job back in Philly. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Patriots Saints game was a thriller. Good to see Brady in form, even if it is for a moment. Quote
Leo604 Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 That last throw is why the league should just forgo the 7-year Hall of Fame waiting period and just induct him next August; Belichick too, considering their record and the receiving corps Brady's basically training on his own. Quote
dieheartlegored Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I like this topic.... I'm more into college football. Roll tide Roll! Undefeated this year so far ! Quote
