I'm still leaning broncos, the patriots did not impress me with there performance last week, and as long as Peyton is healthy my money is on him! Quote
Leo604 Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 I'm still leaning broncos, the patriots did not impress me with there performance last week, and as long as Peyton is healthy my money is on him! Plus the Pats defense has had too many injuries; Knowshon and Ball are gonna run pretty well, and then Peyton is gonna throw 4 TD's again. Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 That was quite the game. Before the flubbed kick return I was thinking we'd have another tied game! Quote
Leo604 Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 I watched up till halftime when Denver was winning 24-0, and then came back at the end of the 3rd when I saw in fantasy that it was 24-21. Then I just stayed up and watched the rest of the game. In other news, somehow Romo is really clutch again. Quote
tomdobs55 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I can't believe how that game went watched the entire thing no other words except, "WOW!!!" Quote

GandalfofHoth Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 With the conclusion of the Seahawks (37) and the Saints (7), we might have just watched the NFC championships, and with Rogers out for so long I would be very surprised if we didn't see a Seahawks and Denver/New Englend (Go Pats!) Super Bowl, because we all know Manning does not play as well under anything but perfect weather, so if Denver is in the Super Bowl, in New York in February, we could be looking at the Super Bowl winner in the Seahawks, especially if they maintain (which I think they will) home field advantage. Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Yeah I agree, the Seahawks get home field advantage. I really wonder about the Broncos though, I could see the Texans beating them, but almost nobody else. Quote

Are you saying it could be a trap game? The Texans record is 2-10, same as the Falcons, so how could one of the worst teams in the NFL win against them, other than it being a trap game? Quote

The Texans record is 2-10, same as the Falcons, so how could one of the worst teams in the NFL win against them, other than it being a trap game? The Texans may have a terrible record, but I don't believe that their record indicates their ability. They're a very good team, they just can't seem to finish in games. They only lost to the Seahawks by three, the Chiefs by one, the Colts by three, the Cardinals by three, and the Patriots by three. The Texans could easily be a 7-5 or 8-4 team if they knew how to finish. I believe that they could have an outstanding year next year, just like the Chiefs have this year. 2-14 to 9-3; I could easily see the Texans doing the same. Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 They've also had QB troubles. I was mostly basing my opinion on their loss to the Patriots. Quote
Sisco Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 That's true. If they drafted a QB, I think they'd have a complete turnaround next year. I'm actually excited for their matchup with the Donkeys; it could get very interesting. Quote
eurotrash Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 My beautiful wife snagged me tickets for the Chiefs vs the Colts at Arrowhead! First live game. Forecast: Cold weather! Can't wait! Quote

I agree with that, and even though they have the one of the best defenses in the league and loose almost all of their games by less than a touchdown, they're not 2-10 for no reason, and the reason, like you said, is that they have trouble closing games, they haven't scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter in several weeks. They are a good team, and their record should be better. And I agree, next season they could be just like the Chiefs. I'm just saying I don't think they could beat Denver. Quote

JimBee Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Vikings fan here- at least we're not Jacksonville And you still beat Chicago. Thanks for that. I'm a Packers fan, but it doesn't look like we're going anywhere this year. If we can't beat Atlanta this Sunday, we're done for. So... go 49ers? Quote
ZCerberus Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I'll say go Colts I guess. I can feel okay about rooting for an AFC team that is in a small market. Quote

At this point McCarthy should sit Rodgers for the rest of the season just to make sure that collarbone won't break easily again next year; with GB's defense as bad as it is, they probably won't get far in the playoffs anyway. GandalfofHoth Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Texans have fired Gary Kubiak. Wade Phillips will stand in for him until they find a new coach. Quote
jluck Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 My bengals have a huge game against the colts tomorrow, i really could see either team making a run starting tomorrow. Quote

No surprise there, with the Jacksonville game and whatever it was they did on Thursday. My bengals have a huge game against the colts tomorrow, i really could see either team making a run starting tomorrow. Go Cincy! I think this will be another good game for the defense, and then AJ Green will have like 120+ yards again. Gio Bernard too, the Colts linebacker corps is horrendous. Quote
Sisco Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 This Lions-Eagles game is a spectacle! We're calling it the Blizzard Bowl around the house. Quote
